I have a 28-200 (Sigma) on our 30D, its good "walk around" lens, the 28-135 should work fine

Now my DS10's baseball coach has a 600mm lens.....

Hi Tom,

We looked at the Sigma, but DH has a real tendency to stick with Canon lenses - AND - he got an Amazon "deal of the day" for this lens that made it a pretty good deal. He is talking about looking for something from around 100-300mm as well before TOAL, but I think we should "play" with this one for a while and then decide what we need.

At the moment I only have 3 lenses (well, we have a bunch of old lenses for our 2 film SLR cameras, but those don't count anymore!). I have the kit lens (18-55mm not image stabalized), the 50mm prime lens ("nifty fifty") and now this new zoom.

DW and FIL bought camera for me, didn't have choice on brand of lens....

Thank you. It came with a black shawl....I'm going to see if the seamstress can use it to do some "piecing". I was thinking that maybe she could take out the zipper and put an extra piece with a lace up the back.

That sounds nice. I had bought a Blue dress quite awhile ago.........hoping to lose the weight. No such luck and I can't get it made to fit. I probaly will wait till a month before we go.

Palo Brunch Question

Way back (several threads ago) I seem to remember a discussion about a "couples brunch" at Palo. The idea was to pick a day and try to get our ressies for then individually - then we would have a sort of get together at brunch. Does anyone else remember this and did a date get set? I can't have brunch without DH, but it would be fun to have a bunch of us all there at once ....
