HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!!!

I am off to the hospital for phase 2 of the nose "fix". This should be the last surgery I will need. Yay!
Hooray for you! Best wishes!

I am alive but barely. Somehow I injured a disc in my neck and has been really giving me problems. I have been reading along just have not felt like posting. It is getting better, just slower than I want.

Feel better, Roger!

Ah sorry about that!

Yes the exchange rate has taken the sting out of it, I have done well on that, but I am looking at the fares being £2,000 cheaper in Club class now, than September last year.

Big hit!

Ow, that hurts . . . :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

You could buy a lot of champagne, even your friend Dom, for that kind of money!

I know truly Bummed on that! Well I booked it and its paid for, just I could have saved that!

Someone sitting next to us on the plane, maybe nabbing the Window seat instead of us, will have paid £2,000 less!

FLY VIRGIN, not BA!

I Love:lovestruc Sangria!! Wonder if you can get it on the ship?

I don't know, but funny I was just wondering the same thing earlier! :goodvibes Maybe in Palo? :confused3

ooooh that does sting! I hope you get some satisfaction from them.

I was just looking around a few of those threads -- it's amazing how few Dis people they have on some of those cruises!:confused3

I was on DCL website yesterday. They have quite a few spot available for most of the sailings as well. Some of the prices are pretty close to the REPO price.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Monica is ok...

Still in shock a little but trying to regroup and plan a counter-assault on her line of work...

She said she would try to make it to chat tomorrow nite and sends her love. :lovestruc

Thanks K...........I was hoping she would post!!!:flower3: I hope she is on chat tonight!!!;)

WOW! You are crazy!:lmao:

I got this from JetBlue:

JetBlue will be charging $20.00 for a second piece of checked luggage for
tickets purchased on or
after May 1st for travel beginning on June 1st.

So I guess most of us are ok!If we have purchased our tix already....

Chrissie

At least they grandfathered you in!!!:yay:

Sorry.:confused3 When we flew to London, we had the best food.

About time!!!!

I am only about 3 1/2 threads behind. I figure that this is a good time to jump back in since it is the start of a new thread.

We are doing the dolphin/water park in Puerto Vallarta (sea life park). We wanted to do the other water park in PV, but DCL has it all booked up. We have a 2pm booking.

I was able to take advantage of a better rate on another Airline. Originally I booked with AA, but they altered their flight times. The time change was not a big deal, but when I saw the flight prices drop on Air Canada I was able to cancel AA flights and re-book for the better price. AA gave me a hard time, but in the end they allowed me to cancel my flights. We saved over $200 (total).
We also booked excursions in Cabo, PV and Aruba that provide refunds if the ship does not dock.

 :woohoo:

Belated Happy Birthdays to Lisa and Kevin.

M great work on the kids pages (I was starting on my own but yours are much better)

Coral good luck today.

Sorry about your pinched nerve!!! I have Degenerating Disc Disease in my neck.

You know I had to find something for pain in the neck!!! Cherie will probably agree with me!!:rolleyes1 :lmao: :lmao:

I think EVERYONE should demonstrate what we all expect out of inflight dining... and bring on something "nice" but something that travels well. I didn't mention before that we've packed fair "to go" many times - or almost EVERY time we're traveling near dinner or lunch time. Well... lobster only once, but we've done Chinese cuisine many times, Pizza, Spaghetti, Boston market, Sushi (the simple kind), and local cuisine from where we're visiting too. The only times we've not packed for a meal is when we dine at our connection stop or just prior or after. Yaknow... ya shift the meal a bit and sit down to a nice meal before or after he flight.

At any rate, every time the United flight attendant goes by asking if we want BOX "A" or "B" or whatever, I decline ... sometimes thinking "gee, look at what has come of this world"..... I miss the TV dinner style hot meals they used to serve.... <wink>

twa002.jpg

Now I have to buy those $0.99 TV dinner budget gourmet "meals" to get my inflight meal "fixes" satisfied!

I remember the day of Champagne flights from Delta with a steak when we flew down to WDW.:cheer2: :cheer2:

Just a friendly reminder that you can donate every 56 days, so if you are eligible, you can donate twice between now and cruise (maybe 3 times if you time it right...)
Its not clear if any of the areas would qualify as disqualifying you from donating blood, but you may want to inquire and donate before hand if you can.

I am anemic........so no one wants my blood!!!!:sad2: It is some genetic disease which causes me to get a B12 shot every month!!!

My Fav USA Meals outside Disney:-
  • Hard rock
  • Golden Corral
  • Ponderosa
  • TGI Fridays
  • Tony Romas

Had bad meals in Dennys,

I noticed there are several buffets you mentioned!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: ;)

I dare not look - something I learnt a while back. I think there is less flight price variation in economy anyway, and I needed to be on that flight home. The flights were at a price I was happy with so I'm not going to toture myself unneccesarily! That said, I think Andrew's price difference would pretty mucj cover our total flight cost. Maybe they'd refund us instead on a you pay we go free deal!

Ok, I know I'm quoting myself, but curiosity got the better of me & our flights have gone up by just over £200 for the 4 of us. I guess T5 has hit those predominantly business travellers hence the price drop?

Celestine

Thanks, Tom, for the link to that form. It frustrated me that I couldn't find it. Not that I'll be USING it....but still.....

I know I was happy in ignorance yesterday, it was only when people here posted prices, had increased, I thought I would look, and regretted it.

I am in Club World, so they can topple more, in percentage terms, but its a lot, so maybe people havent been booking CW.

That might be it, Business class travelers have moved to other airlines whilst BA has T5, Turmoil, and maybe they have had to reduce the prices, funny after I pinged and e.mail to them, MY flight CW went back up and is now just £800 off the total Price.

The other two BA LAX flights are still discounted in CW.

Happy Friday:woohoo: . The kids are off from school this week and they couldn't have asked for a better week with weather. Everyone is out riding bikes and playing ball - it really is nice to see.

It has been wonderful! Our program had all outdoor fieldtrips this week and it has been amazing! (Though I have sunburn arms and face...I used 50spf and it did NOTHING!)

It has been a beautiful April vacation huh? We haven't done much, but I did lay out & get some sun the other day. Last night we had pizza at Angela's on Rt. 1 in Saugus. We got wings & 3 pizzas plus drinks & it came to $104!!! Geez felt like I was in WDW for a second there!
Don't know if I'll make chat because we are invited to a cook out this evening.

I am thinking the beverages pushed you over! I can't believe the week is over! (I am sure you are glad it is!):lmao:

My kids LOVE Arbys'.... and I don't object much either as I take my regulars with a few slices of Jalapenos, some jalepeno juice and Arby Sauce. Plus a splash of Horsey sauce sometimes. And have you noticed at some Arbys locations they've had a tangy 3 pepper sauce? I really like it ... unfortunately the local Arbys' does not stock it - and I have to be driving past a distant Arbys in Oxnard to have a location that stocks it. DRAT!

Love Arby's Sauce!!!:lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc We don't have many around here anymore....so it is a real treat when I get it!
