Southwest STINKS!!! $172 one way from Orlando to Albany and they moved the non-stop flight from 1:30 to 5! I am SO NOT HAPPY!!!!!

Sorry Lorri!!!! :sad2:

Yes, I think if it is a school sponsored sport they will look the other way, but not otherwise. A girl from Lisa's Gymnastic Team qualified 4th in the Nation two years ago. She was awarded a week at the Olympic Training Facility with top coach's from around the country (I think they took the top 5 or 6 Junior Girls and Senior Girls from Level 10 Nationals). They whole trip was paid for by USAG for her and her Coach. Her High School would not excuse her. Because Florida schools were starting so early in August (late July), the camp interfered with school. She ended up going for the weekend of the week she had been awarded, but then had to return home. It was very sad for her. She has since developed health issues and can no longer compete. It is too bad this once in a lifetime opportunity was taken from her.

Sharon, that was horrible. I think it makes it worse that now she can't compete at all.:sad2:

Lovebugs are annoying, but I'll take 'em over fire ants any day.
I pretty much never wear shoes, so I spent the 3 years we lived in FL covered in fire ant bites.

I got bites from them one year in Florida. I learned real quick to stay off the grass.:rolleyes1

I'm on the same meds, along with Singular. Of course, I'm also an ex-smoker too! Hospitalized with pnuemomia at least 3 times in my late 20's-early 30's.

I found an online coupon for Adam's Advair--saved me $197.99:cool1: . They have either $10 off refill or 1st free. His 1st one he got from the dr. Concerta $229 and now Advair $198--I'm spending a bundle on Adam's meds every month.

I love it!!!:goodvibes

Morning everyone! Going to be a nice weekend here, it's already in the 60's. DD has softball practice at 2 PM

Hi Paula!:wave2: So you slept through it too? Glad things are OK with you.

Well time to start the wash and start packing for next weekend! It's not too early to start packing is it? :lmao: Our flight leaves next Sun about 10:30 AM so we don't have to get going too early for a change.

Are we having pirate chat on Sunday, May 18th?

I'm hoping so, as I know it would definitely help me stay up for the BIG EVENT.

Diane could bring the cocktails.

No reason not to

I've had that disser on my ignore list. I have found a lot of their posts argumentative. I read for fun:goodvibes

I have to say I have found the Boards very peaceful and nice this week, with everyone helping each other, a joy to read!! There are one, maybe two who have their opinion and do not allow anyone else a different view.

So D-DAY for the 90 day crew is one month today, Sunday night Monday morning, we are getting closer and closer, and the W/bound are only 20 days off now!

Morning :goodvibes

Sorry so late with the weather. But another lovely day in Central Florida. Temp currently 77. HIgh 83 low 63.

Got all my cooking done and just have a few more errands. Happy Weekend.

:lmao: I better stick with tea that night or I won't be able to make any reservations!

I seem to have run into that Dr. Who guy because I appear to be missing some time from last night. How was chat? :scared:

good afternoon everyone! i'm sitting here enjoying a bit of quiet before dh gets home from work. the kids just all left, and i'm waiting for a load of mulch to be delivered! woohoo! we are in for a fun day of yard work....
hope everyone has a great weekend!

Actually YES, one person is not allowed to go over the same time line for another time, or it causes so much terrible consequences, just remember when you see me in the summer, it was me taking the cruise last week, If you understand.

(There again, I might be just trying to wriggle out of a XXXX up made when I was half asleep this morning, and will do the cruise,!):lmao:

Well now ... Andrew, technically wasn't THIS an ackward moment?

I have NOT seen this episode - so I am at a disadvantage - however can you explain how the 5th got away with encountering the 10th here?

Basically that shouldn't happen, but as the title of that story was time 'crash' it explains it, the Tardis in two separate time lines crashed into itself and the Doctor in both, met, but they had to correct it very quickly as it was making the 5th Doctor, older, very quickly, and that would of course have killed the 10th Doctor, ( in fact 6-10).

Hope you are taking notes, as I will ask questions later.

But basically you cannot deliberately go back and change something you have experienced yourself in your time line.(The above was an accident).

Yesterday I took our recyclables in for redemption. I had enough plastic to fill a 55 gallon trash can at the turn in station... plus a couple of dozen cans (we don't drink much soft drinks) ... and I had 3 glass bottles. Wanna guess what all that (mostly plastic water and juice bottles) came to in dollars?.....

Here we have our recyclables picked up once a week. We don't have to seperate -- they give us a bin to use. It's part of our garbage pick up. I had to go and get an extra bin -- we (dh & I) drink a lot of soda.

For us, we had to PAY $30 to get a recycling bin. We put all of our recyclibles (spelling??) into it including platics through #8, paper, glass, cardboard, etc. We then set it out every other Friday (today was recycling day) and it gets picked up by the city.

I still wonder why they made us pay to do this.....if we didn't care, we could have just dumped it in with the rest of the garbage in the "free" trash bin that the city provides.

Our si picked up every Friady. And we are fortunate that we don't have to pay for the bin! LOL! I bet less then half the people in our neighborhood use the bins.

In Ft Worth if you are *caught* with recylable stuff in your regular garbage you are fined.

I have to say I have found the Boards very peaceful and nice this week, with everyone helping each other, a joy to read!! There are one, maybe two who have their opinion and do not allow anyone else a different view.

So I have not been on line much lately... and as such - does this mean my prescence contributes to a less than peaceful time... or shal I just say it... I bring a vortex of chaos where-ever I post.... or would it be fair to say my arrival displaces the evil of those with desperate singular views? Either way - I see myself as the pure essence of INNOCENCE since I recently COMPLETED my training as a Time Lord. Well... it WAS a Time Lord in training coorespondance course - found on the web no less. SO I am still waiting for my credentials to arrive from Nigeria.... they should be sending it soon though as I WIRED the funds and all my personal indentity data as requested. Or rather I sent what I knew of Andrews' personal data (your know - his pension account serial number for payment - and so on mixed with MY mug and address.... no sense exposing my assetts, eh?) with MY name in place. It was Nigeria ... with a western union wire address in the Netherlands for the funds! < wink >

OK... I gotta go now ... Alicia wants to wander and shop a Macys' sale (extra 20% off coupon plus a bunch of stuff already 50% off... last nite she went macy hopping with a girlfried and found among other things Tahari suits originally $360 going for a final price of $32 after all the discounts the girls scrapped together!.... and I think Alicia bought like 5 suits and a dress yesterday while her girlfriend got a couple of suits and dresses [half Alicia found for her - Alicia has a knack for filtering through racks - and knowing just WHERE to look]).... OK... I gotta get going ... as Alicia just quipped "...Tom, WHAT are you doing? The kids gotta get ready to go... who's doin'...(etc.) ....".... SO I better get going now.

Later this afternoon Julianna's Brownie troop is planting trees at a Earth Day festival ... and we will meet friends and fellow Brownies there... so we will return later this evening. That is - unless I get access to a Tardis before or after) then.... < wink >

TTFN!

Alicia just came by to ask me with a tone of dripping sarcasim : "...well, can we go?..."

In my town you can subscribe to curbside pick-up or take it to the recycling center. A small church around the block has a paper retrevier, so I take papers and magazines there. I don't really have a lot to warrent curbside pick-up, so we take it to the center. They also take household batteries too!

I pay extra for yard waste pick-up for the season Apr-Dec, I don't like hauling that to the center, too messy in the Jeep!
