Hi Everyone..

In D.C....a little chilly but suppose to warm up by the weekend in the high 70's

but the real reason I am on is because my DD made Major Yesterday... :cool1: :cool1:

  Congratulations!!!
Oh my goodness! My DH just had 5+ tons of stone and brick and 4 pallets of soil delivered to our house.
He has some pretty big plans for our backyard.
I guess I will not see him except out the window for the rest of the spring. :rotfl2:

Coral, that sounds like something Alan would enjoy doing. He loves to work in the yard. Make sure you post some pics. when he is finished:)

Ah, I just got an update. The folks at Inventory Control (who are next door to revenue maximization) saw your suggestion. They will be combining both approaches - sometimes moving the contents of the rooms (including safes, fish extenders, etc.) and sometimes just renumbering cabins - in both cases the idea will be to maximize the amount of running around by passengers.
You will see a new fee for this service on your stateroom bill - the web site shows this as the:

"Cabin relocation fitness program: Exclusively for GTY passengers and those who participate in fish extender gift exchanges, this program presented by our health and fitness staff is sure to keep you ship-shape throughout your cruise. The cost of this service is a nominal $50/cruise ($90 for cruises of 7 days or longer) and can be combined with our extensive selection of spa foot treatments (which you'll need) for a 10% discount."

what a great idea!!!:rotfl2:

It's been recently estimated by Tom31 that we have 150-175 cabins - so each of us will be handling maybe 37-44 or 50-60 cabins... depending upon how many volunteer and how many cabins we actually have.

For the record, that's a worst case # assuming everyone stays in, everyone wants to be listed in the directory, etc.

Plus we arrive there at O'Dark Thirty

I love Gut Bombs! I remember when they only cost $.08 a piece! Always had to have at least 4 of them. Great place to go for Bar Rush too!! ;)

We call them "Gut Busters!" I've learned my lesson, never eat them on a work night. sometimes they truly are gut busters!

WOW, I bet it will look great. When he's done he can come and do our backyard;)

BTW... The county attorney on the video there is the DIS's own KATH1210

She's real nice...

i met Kathy through the Dis which lead to me knowing about my job opening...
Loved seeing you on the video Kristina:banana: You looked great:thumbsup2 It's good to have Dis friends:goodvibes

OMG! People astound me. :sad2:
There is a story on the news today about a woman who ran out of gas on a freeway so she left her 1 YO and 1 MONTH old :scared1: in the car while she went for gas.
They did not say how long she was gone but it must have been a while.
Unreal:sad2: The kids are ok though, right ?

Also, thanks for the kind thoughts from everyone regarding yesterday's gout flare-up. It was my worst, but I'm a lot better today. I guess the preventative medicine at least helps keep them shorter. Nonetheless, I'm heading back to the doctor to see about upping my dosage as she started me out small to see how I do.
Glad you're feeling better Christopher:goodvibes Hopefully, the doc will figure out the best dosage soon and you'll be painfree for the TOAL:goodvibes

Good to know. I've been busy working on my FE (DH thinks I've finally lost the plot & the kids think I never had it any way), so we're almost good to go!
You're family probably won't appreciate all your planning until the TOAL (if then:rolleyes: ) You should have seen the looks I got from my family when my tiara arrived:lmao:

Local ones, -now I found a post office in Acapulco, not far form the port a main sorting office, and posted some there, DCL had Panama canal ones on board at guest services and you could buy post cards in the shop and leave it with them to post.

That's good to know Andrew. Thanks:thumbsup2

Good morning:goodvibes Hope everyone is well today.

Adam is taking his ASVAB test today for the Navy. I honestly have very mixed emotions. Here I thought he was going to start business school in January. Why do they have to grow up so fast?

Good for him any results and MOS he can get yet

I have to admit, so far he has done great.

Thankfully yes. Passerbys called police asap.

good evening everyone! crazy day here today...found out that dd has chicken pox!! she had the vaccination for it a few years ago...so thankfully, it is a mild case. the doc said i shouldn't watch kids for today or tomorrow though...oh bummer!! not!!! i have 2 babies that i watch that are too little to have had the vaccine yet, so it's not good for them to be here...and now i've got the rest of the week free! my kids are on spring break this week, and dd actually feels great...not itchy or anything, so we basically have the rest of the week free!

hope everyone else is having a great over the hump day!

That's my plan too...I also plan on getting NO sleep that night. My flight out of Chicago is scheduled for 7:20 am which would mean that I would have to get up no later than 4:30 to be ready to leave around 5:15 to get to the airport. I'll be living on caffine and crashing once I get home.

Here's the thread talking about them in DL

On post #78, page 6, someone got an email from Disney. If they are ordered by April 30 they will be placed in August.

Here's the replica of my brick

That is so cool! I really wish we had gotten a brick at WDW before they did away with them because the "Leave a Legacy" at Epcot was bombing. Hopefully they will someday bring them back.

Finally got my DCL Mail... It really seems official now. Looking forward to the 19th! Thank goodness we get to sleep in here on Monday!
