I need to add dh's name to ours (right next to mine) -- Zircon.

I have bought a couple of hundred fish extender gifts so far. I am ready for at least 2 days of deliveries to everyone!!! I got some great deals on Ebay for some really nice gifts! On the 10nt I was able to put pins in since I got such a great deal on them!!! So, far not this time but, at least one of the gifts has the same value!

That is awesome, I love the FE! I am almost getting motivated to try making my own...hmmmmm.

Here's mine. No sewing involved. Just a hot glue gun and scissors. I folded a long strip of fabric over a wood dowell. Glued the sides together to make a seam. Used a different fabric and cut pockets, then glued those to the big strip. Wrapped some ribbon around the ends of the dowell and there you go. Oh and used stickers to put my screen name on it.

I love your extender and all your door magnets! How awesome!!

Monica, you have finally convinced me, I am going to make my own. I can manage a glue gun! I am so excited now...and my mom sews, quilts, knits crochets etc, so if I mess it up, she will fix it for me! Ya hooo!

I n the City of Chicago ........gas is over $4.00 a gallon. We are paying about $3.65 here.



You think 14% hotel tax is bad.......our town is over 18% hotel tax. Wait til November when we have the honor of paying the highest sales tax in the country at 11% in cook County which is where I live!!!

OMG.... 11% sales tax... YIKES! And $4 a gallon - that's nothing new to us out here... however we average paying around $3.75 a gallon for regular because we put off buying until we see a place with lower prices.

As I wuz saying.... I LOVE the convenience my car gives me - and if it costs us 4 bucks a gallon then that;s a BARGAIN for getting around town when we want, eh? Isn't that so Paula?

They are also going to start charging $5.00 per elbow per armrest. So if you want to park your elbow's on the arm rest, it'll be $10 bucks for both elbows.

Also, $5.00 to enter the bathroom and $7.50 for each flush!

Woo-Hoo! I got DIS mail today! Last week, my email was read on the podcast and my T-s*** arrived today

I had DS take a photo so I could post it (no one here "gets it" why I am excited!) Not the best photo of me ever, but since I was coaching him through how to use the camera at the same time, it isn't too bad!

We just had White Castle's for dinner. I can remember when I was a kid our nearest one was about 20 miles away and every so often my Mom would insist we just had to have them and we'd drive over there!

Unfotunatlely, we do not have ANY kind of Pasty shop around here. We did find a place we occasionally mail order from in Winter Park, FL. It is just really pricey once you add in the shipping.

DH can't handle it. He's been on half of the ships on that show and seen his fair share of those seas.

DH and I seemed to watch that all weekend long! I woke up twice Sunday night with seasickness and having nighmares of being on the Magic while it was sinking up in the Bearing (sp?) Sea. Needless to say, I will definately be packing bonine for the TOAL!

DH actually jumps out of bed on the Magic thinking the same thing every time the engines change pitch.

Yep - I did mean Pasty and I love them also. They seem to be unheard of around Chicago. The last one I had was about 2 years ago near Galena (but I think we were probably over the boarder into Wisconsin.)

For those with dirty minds - we are talking about a food! (Nothing to do with ladies who are going to catch a chill wearing too few clothes!) They are a sort of meat pie. The story I have heard is that they come from cornwall England and were baked as to-go food for the miners to take to work.

Well we went to the post office today to get our passport photos and put our applications in. Darren (DH) of all people could not stop laughing and it took forever to get his picture taken
Kelly swears she only made a funny face at him once, but once he was started he couldn't stop
I actually put some make-up on for the pic
I'm guessing we should get the passports in a few weeks at the rate they are going
