Chrissie

Wish they'd send me home... Fun times this morning BTW....

whoops...the whips a crackin' i'l be back later...

Okay........The flu finally made it my way here. I was up all night and now DH is on his way home with it!!!

We need to have warm weather here.:sad2: :sad2:

Hope you all get to feeling better:hug:

I forgot to watch your webcast today.....

THat's ok.... (you can still view it though....) We had fun arguing (and i do mean arguing) our cases today.... Almost like being an attorney....

Not sure what the price is but I've heard it's rediculously(sp) high.

It's like Evian water. (blech) and since they charge a mandatory tip (15%) it ends up at like $35 a case.....

I'll tape bottles to my body if i have too. (With as much water as i have to drink each day.)

Hi Gang,
I had an uneventful drive from L.A. to S.F. But, after having a fun get together w/DS & all DGkids - including dinner out - I got food poisoning!! YUK!! So, now playing ketchup - here and w/my "to-do" list.
We were going into S.F. today to watch the Olympic torch relay - but that got nixed also.
Although a bit chilly - the weather is great and just going to be nicer and Warmer!!
Cheers to all!!

Chris, hope it passes quickly:hug:

I heard back from them - they refuse to give us a refund. I told them that I will never fly with them again - they hoped that I would reconsider. I don't think so. So now back to me being vindictive and packing the largest suitcases, carry-on's and personal bags that I can. And to be completely honest with you, this is the same stuff I that I would of packed anyway but checked in the large carry-on's so that there would be more room for other's but now Delta has basically made it impossible for people to do this.

Please don't give up. We had to write three letters and make a couple of phone calls before DH finally read the following to them on the phone:
DH also said to ask to speak to a supervisor in Salt Lake City

I wanna get a tatoo! Just a little one in an inconspicuous place. Kevin says "One idiot in this family is enough!" :sad1:

I have a tatoo and wish all the time that I could go back and change that day. I would never do it again:sad2: I merely did it out of spite to my mom. The morning of my 18th birthday I went straight to the local tatoo parlor :rolleyes1

That's why I'm so glad that I waited until I was 39 before I got my first one. I know that what I would of gotten at 18 I wouldn't want now (and probably where I would of got it at!). The tat's I do have are in spots that aren't "in your face" - my right ankle & lower back. Yes, they can be seen but they can also be hidden when I don't want them seen.

If my DW asked me, my response would be the same as Kevin's (and vice versa). We've both joked/talked about it the past, but then our senses take over.

Pardon the groundhog (if it is one) but some passionate DCL nut posted a cool thread on the main board about "Right now on DCL"

If you really want to get more anxious to go..... click here

Nut?? NUT???

Nice to meet you Pot. I'm Kettle.

I know most of you bring your own water on board..how much is it to buy?

Also, in the self serve soda is there a water function?

I don't remember??

Chrissie

Self-serve has water and IMO it is just fine. That's what we do.

That is what is so insane. It's like they never considered that 75%+ of the people who usually carry on a small bag and now going to try to carry on luggage. Just wait, 6-12 months from now they will limit carry ons because gosh there just isn't enough room in the cabin.

What do you want? Is it something you've wanted for a long time or is it a whim?

Ah the difference between getting one at 18 and 34. I knew what I wanted and where when I was 20 - waited until I was 34 to get it. And my dad still let me know that he didn't like it!

I agree with these responses. As long as it's not just a whim, then go for it. I was 36 when I got my first one. I knew I had wanted one for a long time, just couldn't figure out what I wanted.

I did sort of get it on a whim. We were in Vegas and during a night out at Coyote Ugly I told my friend I was going to get one. She said if I did, she would get her belly button pierced. She was shocked the next day when I started looking up tattoo/piercing places. I'm very happy with mine. And since I'm headed back to Vegas in June, I'll be getting another one.

The only thing that might hold me back if I were you is whether or not Kev would like it. Did he say what he said jokingly or was it a way to let you know that he really wouldn't be pleased if you got one.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes. You all really know me. Princess, pirates, Johnny....they are all perfect.

Sitting her waiting on my brother. He's taking us out to dinner tonight. Usually he lets DS pick and we end up with fast food. My brother told me to pick some place nice. When I questioned that he said just figure out some place that doesn't have Baconaters  (DS's current favorite).
