Hello All,

Please do not ask too much about my absence, lets just say thank you to Webmaster Regina, who is a loverly lady, and has sorted the thing out.

Sometimes a couple of small things, escalate due to circumstances being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and things that are not 'clear' on an ongoing thread, might be misunderstood by the people doing a fine job moderating us all.

Thank you for the high number of e.mails or PM's many from here, and hopefully you will all accept me back.

Whats happened this week, well we had two very large storms here very windy, I think the first was the storm from Florida with the tornadoes, that went through East USA with Snow storms over to us with more energy over the Atlantic.

I lost further weight down to 15.4 now thats 13% of me gone since December 31st.

Alice DD has passed a high number of 'top of the class' exams, with certificates for three, being the best, and had to have surgery on her teeth at the same time (nasty).

Stephen DS, has been in trouble at school, and needs a lot of love at this time, the thing is if your teachers think you are a naughty boy, you then get treated as one, and it circles down wards.

I had some 'results' on my ongoing tests with now two Diagnosis of my condition, so at least now, they know whats wrong with me they can try to solve it,

The funny thing is when the Consultant says can I bring in x number of medical students, and when I agree, he says to his 5/6 trainee doctors, now see this guy, he has two very rare conditionals that are text book / essay type stuff and you most likely will never ever see this again in your career!

Not sure if thats good or bad?

Anyway, nice to be back.

Welcome back! You have been missed!

Congrats to the DD!! Tsk, tsk to DS!!

(ps, can I tell you it will be cool to have a "medical oddity" with us or is it too soon? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: )

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the spelling of your email wrong???????? Or am I still having a senior day :lmao:

The stuff I got was from the celebration we had for the 5yr anniversary of the Disney Visa. Most of it was the promos they gave away the first year. Hey I will graciously accept anything I am given as a token of appreciation for our hard work. We had a party and Mickey was kind enough to visit for the day. My only regret was they served the rice krispie Mickey Heads instead of the Mickey Bars we got 2 yrs ago. Oh well :confused3 It was much appreciated to get something.

OOOpppssss I did spell it wrong its micmsecheryl@yahoo.com

What do you expect , I'm a bloody Pirate , we dont spell so good ..

I'm glad you're back and hope everything turns out okay with your medical tests. My wife had a similar, although less stressful, situation at the eye doctor. After a week of blurry vision, she saw a cornea specialist and the specialist brought in her assistant and kept pointing out things with my DW's eye that they don't see that often. Long story short is that she's okay and her vision is back to normal after proper medication and a new type of contact lens.

I also understand about your son. We actually had to pull our son out of his school altogether about two weeks ago due to DS's poor grades and complete lack of communication by the teacher (no behavior problems but being classified as a poor performer by the teacher seemed to make my DS feel like he couldn't perform better even though he performed well on the assessment tests). We had tried resolving it many different ways, but the teacher tended to blame him on not paying attention in class, even though she wasn't the one who actually taught him. He was in a combined class where the teacher and her so-called "parapro" taught simultaneously. The certified teacher taught half the class on one wall while the parapro taught my son's grade on another wall (not the opposite wall). Yes, they were speaking at the same time and there was no discipline in the classroom -- kids would get up and move around whenever they wanted. It was horrible, but he's made tremendous improvements since we pulled him. The reason we changed schools was the admin did nothing to help us. Fortunately, the district helped us get into a different school.

Sorry to ramble, I am glad you're back. LIke I've said before, you're the primary reason I started reading and posting to this meet thread.

Yes my Son has been causing me some worry, nothing major, typical boy thnigs, as to the medical oddity, the good news its 'identified' now and isn't really an issue at all, as long as its kept under control. It wasn't know off, when I was a boy, and I was first seen by doctors, but now is a recognized condition. The only issue is there are no 'experts' on it, so they most likely will study me.

Oooooo.... Lots of probes, etc.! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Don't worry, my DS10 may not live to see the trip at the rate he's going, fighting at school, mouthing off to DW.....

Chris, than you for your post,

Re your DW's eye, yes its good when they know what they are doing, but you worry a little if you are 'on show' a bit. Hope it continues to be fine.

Re Son, yes, it can cycle down fast, once you have the label naughty boy, then the teachers always come in heavy, other boys now set him up, and each time is my son told off, or for example, stand in the corner of the room for 15 mins in front of everyone. Not the way to break the cycle of behavior rather reinforce it.

Hope it doesn't get to the level of changing school.

I might pop off for a while, DD, wants her laptop and the Internet. Whilst havent posted much, have taken a lot of time up on this PC tonight

I can forgive a pirate: but Cheryl didn't even notice :lmao: :lmao:

I have rested enough today and need to get outta here. Enough mental health. It is highly over rated anyway :rotfl2:

You should know better, it wasn't on her cell phone... she would never notice! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That reminds me of my DS first week at the new school here in Fl. Kid came home with a black eye one day and was told to stand by himself the first day because he didn't know you were not to stand by the door to the classroom until they allowed you in????. Explained to all the idiots he was a NEW kid and didn't know the rules and the cretin who socked him in the eye needs to be reported and not ever go near him again. Welcome to Florida.

I have an irregularity in my eye as well. The acronym is CHIRPY. (sp) It is a piece of debris in the eye. Yes I was on display as well. The worst part was the photographs they have taken of it. Getting your eyes dilated etc is painful; enough when they shine the lights in there but a flash going off.:scared1: not a pleasant experience.

You should know better, it wasn't on her cell phone... she would never notice! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I haven't heard from her .... Maybe she is checking out the other email....

Cheryl, we are going to Buca tonight. I got a free Mio coupon.

Since you have all been so sympathetic to my saga...I'm happy to report that my kid's passports arrived yesterday!

Deanna - did you get DD's yet?

No, it hasn't come yet :headache:

We did receive her birth certificate yesterday, and called the passport office again, and they said they still had no record of the passport being returned to them. At least with her original BC, we can apply for a new one if we have to.

So glad your kids can go on the TOAL now!!!

It's very nice to have you back! PM if you want to talk.

Kristina- That is quite an acomplishment! Congrats :thumbsup2

Andrew- Glad to see you back. Congrats to Alice on her tests :cheer2:

I went on a job interview yesterday and as I sat there filling out the application, I paused at the question regarding if I'd be able to provide proof of citizenship and the right to work in the US upon hire. Of course I answered yes ... but what I really wanted to say was, "That depends on when you want me to start." See, we finally applied for our passports this past weekend and were told we'd have them in 3 - 4 weeks :confused3

The timing might be a little tight between the interview cycle, an offer of a position/accepting a position, giving a 2 week notice and the processing time of said Passport. Because we all know that I sent my only certified copy of my BC w/the passport application AND I cannot remember when the last time I saw my social security card might have been

HOWEVER ... if this new opportunity works out, I'd happily make a trek to the Social Security Office, or pay the fee for a new BC :rotfl: Just found it amusing that the passport sagas continue for so many of us in so many different ways.

Yes its difficult with kids not knowing the rules or teachers having different ones, one Stephen gets on with a number, its one or two where he isnt the best boy in class.

OOPS, Andrew glad to see ya back.
Thank you

Thank you, all fine!

Alice has always been a very very bright lady, and is in the hall of fame at her old school, Stephens current school, so its maybe a lot for him to keep up to It reminds me of a USA TV programme 'Even Stevens' with my two just like Ren and Lewis, -but sometimes Lewis does help Ren out of trouble.

Something to give us all a laugh, a bit at my expense.

As you know I have been trying to loose a lot of weight, and I have been cutting back on my food and that includes McDonalds, and also going out for long walks and jogs.

Now the change in diet has had a recent adverse effect on my constitution, and with the lack of Mc’d’S fries, I haven’t had anything to grease me up inside and had become a little constipated.

So I went to our local Pharmacy, for some laxatives, and asked the young girl on the till for some,

She didn’t know what they were, she shouted out to the next lady, ‘This man wants some laxatives, do you know what they are’, in front of all the people in the shop. She said to me, sorry I am only 17 just started this week. Anyway, the next lady didn’t know as well, so shouted out to another, and let’s say I was getting a bit embarrassed but everyone knowing.

I said, maybe ask the pharmacist and she did come to help.

Anyway, I think everyone in my town knows now, -and now the Dis,

Best not go there for anything else 'men' are embarrassed about buying.

Hey everyone,

No need to go and enter this contest - they've just awarded all 3 grand prizes (to me ... in thoery). So don't you go and waste any of your time or energy at it. besides ... you wouldn't want to sail free in one of those 10,000 square foot $35,000 garden villas would ya? Shoot... you might get LOST in your "cabin" and miss the shows and meals. Oh well... to all those who decline my GOOD counsel - and opt to embrace the counsel of a real counselor ... good luck winning something other then more SPAM!
