I'm wondering if I can use the ignore list with co-workers ?
Children too?????

I'm wondering if I can use the ignore list with co-workers ?
Wow you are a hard group to keep up with. Especially since my home computer died back in November. Glad I was reading and now know that the cruise is going to cost me $15 more. Makes me glad it is just me as I can dig up $15 even if I have to go panhandling.
Anyone else out here traveling solo? Has anyone ever done a cruise alone? I am wondering how strange it will be having dinner at Palo alone. Also if my server will think I am an alcoholic when I order a wine package.
Being from back east (NE PA) and going to school around Philly - youz guys was frequently used as well as "Where you at?"
Sorry to hear the bug is working its way through this group. I was sick for 3 weeks. Finally started getting better last week. It is brutal. You think you are getting better then it comes back at you. I only got an inhaler - Dr. said not much we can do - everyone has it.
BTW - looking into getting a laptop to replace dead home computer. Anyone out there have any recommendations? I am leaning towards a Dell XPS.
You most likely know I try to help out on the Main cruise boards, and answer some questions there, but in the last couple of nights, I feel like I am being 'shot' down everywhere I go.
Not paranoid, but when you try your best to help some posters are not happy,
One asked for a 'menu's link, I posted one that I knew off, and then another post comes in, ''is it current'' the OP wanted current ones.-Well I think it is?
REAS, try to help on that, and suggested when it comes out for 2009, check the package ensure it hasn't changed, another post back, 'its never changed, spoken to DCL'. Actually it has, rain-forest pass for couples massage for example, booking with DCL direct and Debbie, now on-line.
And the big one, there is a disser who lets say isnt into European cruising, and feels strongly the American family market do not cruise in the Med.
In all the years here, thats the first addition to my 'ignore list'.
Anyway, try to be positive, off to lick my wounds, I feel its time to give up posting on the main forum.
Sorry for rant!
Yeah...I know!
So that past week..my coworker (who is my boss and my friend since childhood-yeah weird)have been joking.."oh there's my tone again"

Am I the only one who didn't know WHO this Patti person was? AND ... I must be missing something ... as what is the big deal or iside message about the egging thing here?

Vivienne Patricia "Patti" Scialfa ("Skal-fa") (born July 29, 1953) is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist, best known for being a bandmate, and later wife, of rock star Bruce Springsteen.
It's springtime.....peep him

wait, you're quoting yourself...but oh, so funny !!

I have Alicia hunting for this Target digicam deal. If she find it - I'll have her buy all of them ... or at least one or two spares. AND if I do have spares we'll offer it here to anyone who wants one. We'll enclose seperate receipts and so on so you can get the rebate. Now I'm trying to hunt backwards to get the model number and fish for the rebate online - so I can confirm to Alicia that we can have this digicam for $79 NET of taxes.
Debi, A hoagie is nothing like a sandwich from subway... bite your tongue.
Julieanne Phillips - I wore black the day he married her. I also remember that rumour was Bruce wanted to start a family and Julieanne wanted to work on her career...
ETA: Found this info on her
Model-turned-supporting and occasional leading actress Julianne Phillips is best remembered for playing Frankie on the offbeat NBC series Sisters (1991-1996) and for having been married to pop superstar Bruce Springsteen between 1985 and 1989. Phillips first appeared in the made-for-television movie Summer Fantasy (1984). That year she made her feature-film debut in Odd Jobs. Since Sisters went off the air, Phillips has been dividing her time between television films and features such as Colin Fitz (1997). ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
Also, Bruce broke up the E-Street band back in 1989 and didn't marry Patti until 1991.
Very good point M. And if we get bored we can pop it out and play with it.![]()
Howdy Crew!
Just a quick posting. I've caught Crash's super bug and have been down for the count for the last week. I'm to the point where I'm simply trying to cough up a lung now.![]()
On the other hand - I lost 7 pounds. Don't recommend the super bug as a weight loss program though.![]()
I actually managed to work a bunch today. But, I've hit my wall and will toddle off for a nap soon. This really sucks.
.
Welcome aboardHello everyone. Just thought I would pop my head in here and say I will also be there along with everyone else here.
By the way, this is my 4000th post!!!!![]()

Sorry I haven't been around. I picked up a nasty, nasty chest cold in Vegas and have been trying to kick it before Disneyland next weekend.
I'm with you, Esteri, I feel like I'm coughing up a lung.![]()
Well we had Channel 5 (KTLA) out to our school twice this week. Won't know until 3/18.Tom I have not heard from you regarding DL on 3/15. Are you going to make it?
Children too?????![]()

Sorry for rant!
We've all ranted here and there, so don't worry about that.
Sorry posters haven't been so nice lately.
I for one appreciate your DCL knowledge and willingness to help.
I try to help out on the DL board. There's a poster on there that I swear just has to contradict everything I say. I know its not personal because I've never met this person. But any thread I'm involved in, I know that as soon as I see her ID, she's going to say I'm wrong or her answer is better. I haven't put her on ignore yet, but I might.
Thanks for the welcomes. Now I wonder how long it will take me to go back and read all the previous posts......
first one to get gout wins !!
Hadn't heard 'jeet jet' in a long time -- not since leaving Pittsburgh. Someone already mentioned 'yinz' upthread. Had to eat at "Eat-N-Park" (yes, eat-AND-park) in Harrisburg a few weeks back and got a 'yinz' from the waitress and cringed on behalf of my Nigerian-born colleague.
Since leaving Pittsburgh, I had to learn the real names for all of these too (I used to have a site on Pittsburghese when I lived in the South). I'll leave it to the rest of you to figure out what some of these might be in te "real world"
Iggle
Oleo
Hot Pad
Hoagie
Night Turn
Hanky
Motorsickle
Grass Cutter

that was me who wrote that Lisa..... Just trying to be more picturesque for the non-Philly crowd...
And trust me i know..... A hoagie should have an amoroso roll... Not some other baked bread...
Then again i don't think they even call them hoagies in Pitt..... Once you pass central PA they call them subs....
They asked YOUI've got y'all beat. When SWMBO was going into surgery with our first (c-section), the doctor came and asked me if she wanted her tubes tied! Good thing I'm the kind of guy who knew the right answer, because I expect some husbands may have not answered that question correctly. I thought it was very odd she would ask me that. But then again, we were in a public hospital in Alabama (where my wife worked at the time).
That's insaneThat doesn't surprise me at all. My friend had her 2nd child and wanted to get her tubes tied and she had to have written permission from her husband before they'd do it!!But that's the Oklahoma,Redneck mentality for ya.
I guess every Catholic School has one or two or those.
OMG, it's Sister Mary Sergeant... second from the right... 8th grade post traumatic stress syndrome.
Let me know when you have it figured outI'm wondering if I can use the ignore list with co-workers ?
One of those checkups that I've been putting off/forgetting

I really appreciate all of your insightfulness. You also made me feel really welcome on the boards and made it more comfortable for me to post. Thanks. And I can even put up with all the plugs for that Dr. Who guy!![]()
I appreciate your answers to my questions on the DL boards too!
Just wait til the 87,000 post first thread comes back. There will be a quiz you know.
Just kidding. Jump in and chat when you have a chance.

I've lived just outside Philly for 15 years now, and I still don't get "Philly speak", but my kids all do.
They eat taffies instead of lollipops.
Ladies have pocketbooks instead of purses.
And they drink wooder instead of water.
Of course they still can't tell me what's in scrapple.
Regarding all this lobster talk:
On the last cruise, through a miscommunication with the head server, my wife and I ended up with four lobster tails apiece!![]()
Of course they didn't go to waste, but DW wanted to know why the seats in the Walt Disney Theater were smaller that night.![]()
Of course they still can't tell me what's in scrapple.
Just think how snug they'll be feeling by the 15th night? I'm scared!![]()
