Hadn't heard 'jeet jet' in a long time -- not since leaving Pittsburgh. Someone already mentioned 'yinz' upthread. Had to eat at "Eat-N-Park" (yes, eat-AND-park) in Harrisburg a few weeks back and got a 'yinz' from the waitress and cringed on behalf of my Nigerian-born colleague.

Since leaving Pittsburgh, I had to learn the real names for all of these too (I used to have a site on Pittsburghese when I lived in the South). I'll leave it to the rest of you to figure out what some of these might be in te "real world"

The Green 790SW is what was on clearance at Target.

I secretly coveted this tough little digicam ... but settled on the cheap pocket Fuji recently on account of the rebate and $100 credit we had at amazon that needed using. AND... now.... I'm not too embarassed to admit I've gone and LOST (temporarily) the battery charger on ALL my digicams. That goes for the new Fuji and my old Canon DSLR. SO ... either I find a charger some time soon... or buy new chargers... or buy another digicam while I continue my laxidasical search for our chargers.

PS... no one let Alicia know I can't find our chargers... cuz shes' sure ta have "words" fer me ... again.

Good Morning everyone! Unfortunately for us it's not so great, except for the fact that I'm not at work! DD is running a fever 102 last night and now around 100. She also is complaing of a sore throat. I'm hoping it's not streep. Finally got through to the dr and we have a 10:15 appt. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Well we have yet another double digit dump coming our way tomorrow and Sat! I really need to move somewhere warm!

I am in the planning/booking stages for a 5day trip to WDW! Just my parents and I (Brendan can't go )but I think this will be nice for my parents and I..last trip just us before Brendan and I get married....Plus I didn't think I was getting to the world this year! whoo hoo!

I just got a call today(I went back Tuesday for stitch removal but no results). The margin was not clear so rather than be sorry later....I have to go back and get a larger hole too!!! Maybe we could just use play dough to fill in our holes.

Ooo.... well I DO know what egging is ... I am a mischief maker after all. HOWEVER, my confusion is in why mention this Patti person as being egged? What was going on here and I am really confused about it. Was her home REALLY physically being egged or is something else going on?

I have put some on my ignore list because of posts they made to other people. I figured that way I would have fair warning if I came across them again
As the board population expands, so do the number of people needing to be added to the ignore list Fortunately my ignore list is still very short (not sure if any are still on the board in fact).
My DH tells me his Star Wars forums got really nasty (around election time) and he had to leave

Julieanne Phillips - I wore black the day he married her. I also remember that rumour was Bruce wanted to start a family and Julieanne wanted to work on her career...

There's always going to be that person who is going to rub you the wrong way. (And here is where M steps in and says, yes, it's you, J. R., so I'll beat her to it. ) I've had my share of those on the main boards too -- seems some people love to show they are somehow superior by slamming someone else.

Shrug it off and keep posting -- there were quite a few more people in those threads thanking you for your comments and even the lady who disagreed on the REAS came back and admitted you were right that it had changed.
