Animal House reference - Monica mentioned food fight and it made me think of John Belushi starting the food fight, which of course made me think of the toga party!

Just passing through...

... we're gonna swing by to check out a Juijitsu class for Julianna then ...

... We're on our way over to share a little good cheer and visit our friend who had surgery recently...

... maybe they will join us for the trip to Yosemite and share a house/cabin or condo rental later this month...

i'm pretty sure it's almost the same as "yous guys".

Not Joisey but Brooklyn!

Edited to add: Well, not just Brooklyn but just about anywhere in the 5 boroughs of NY.
I was thinking it sounded familiar-basically NY

Whatever you do, do not ask Jeff Foxworthy that question. I would be afraid of what answer we would give. :lmao:
I love Jeff Foxworthy but some of his stuff hits too close to home with a couple of my relatives.
I love his "you know you're a red neck" stuff. Not too far off from my family tree either;)

My Dad was born in Brooklyn. I still have alot of family all over those boroughs and Island.
My Dad was from Brooklyn too. He was a huge Dodger fan before they moved.

Sorry to hear you had the flu:hug: Hope your day back today didn't wear you out too bad and you get feeling better:goodvibes
Thanks Paula, I'm 10 times better today than I was yesterday. My job is a desk job and if I had to get sick it happened at a relatively good time as far as workload. I'm taking it easy at home too. Of course I'll pay for it this weekend when I try to play catchup on the chores:headache: DH and kids can fend for themselves just fine, their version of cleanup and mine are just way different:rolleyes:

Hi Folks

Just want to share another e.mail received from DCL.

They will be contacting clients that are affected by this to let them know if their Mickey Bar's are affected and adjustments will be made to your pricing over the next few weeks.

Only reservations made by people that are currently Doctor Who lover's are exempt from the increase in tax on Mickey bar's. If you say you love DW and later you make a modification to that statement your taxes will be adjusted at that time as well.

This only affects cruises of 15 nights in August 2008
From DCL:

For those worried about these changes please contact Captain Crash, he also will not have a clue, but, I just want to fill up his PM inbox.:thumbsup2

Please do not call DCL or a T/A directly about this as they will say they do not know anything about this as they have all been hypnotized by ''the Master.''

:dance3:

Did everyone send a complaint?

Thanks everyone for the get well wishes on my foot. Its really painful today - not putting any weight on it until I know I can - I go to see the Orthopedic dr. tomorrow - first available appt. I took the rest of the week off work and will just dis and rest!

Coral -     I am so sorry about your news, I am so glad though you have such a wonderful attitude!

Can I ask what happened to your foot? I can honestly say I feel your pain !!!!
I broke a toe back in Dec. Yes Dec. and after 8 weeks of pain and in a shoe thingy the Dr. said Sorry Tina I need to do surgery. Well On Feb. 22 he took out all the bone and put a metal pin in and I still will have a long recovery to go and I am now in a hard boot to my knees.

I broke my foot a few years ago pushing youngest DD on the swing :sad2: , Fell in a hole and broke my foot in several spots. I took off the "boot" too soon and am still paying for that dumb move so my advice is to keep that thing on!

I forgot something my TA said. I had asked a while back for her to check to see if she could get us an upgrade in our category (not free) and she said that if we upgraded that all of the fees I avoided by PIF now, would then apply.
I am thinking that cat 10 is just dandy w/ me. ;)

Forgot to mention my latest tragedy.....

MY pet-sitter is going away during part of our TOAL...DOH :headache:

I am so screwed.... The planets are not aligning.... Could this be a sign?

Anyone interested in the Olympus Stylus 790 SW Digital Camera, Orange

Staples has it for $270 with a $70 mail in rebate.

Yes, clearly its a sign that a new, better, nicer, more affordable pet sitter is about to enter your life.... (or maybe you are leaving the family at home and going alone?):lmao: :lmao:

Thanks! I think I am going to buy it for oldest DD, Megan. Bless her heart, she is kind of clumsy and I am always afraid to let her use my camera. This whole shockproof thing is right up her alley. The only thing I do not like is the memory media. We don't have any other camera that uses xD but I think I have to "bit the bullet" and buy this one.

DH is still insisting that we board the dogs while we're gone. I'm trying to get him to agree to having my Mom and brother come in daily and do what needs to be done with both of them - feed them in the morning and then bring them to their outside kennel, bring them in by 6pm, feed and walk them and then start the process over the next day. We've kept them in the kitchen with their crate open before when we were gone for really long day trips without a problem and I think it would work. Now I just need to get DH on board...

I was trying to decide between that one or the 770 (I think). This one is waterproof to 10 feet and the 770 is waterproof to 30 feet (or something like that). I figure with our luck our kids will drop it in the deep end of the community pool which I think is more than 10 feet deep, so I've been leaning toward getting the 770.

Did you get one Tom ?

I like Tom's idea.
We will be using my parents house/pet sitter for the TOAL. It will be nice having someone here to have the house occupied, pick up the mail, paper etc. Plus I was not relishing having to take Jasmine and Sprinkles to a "facility". They are complete housepets and they would not take it so well.
I was asking my Mom housesitter etiquette. Apparantly I am to change the master bedroom sheets the day we leave and she will put new sheets on when we get home. I do not have to leave her food (which I will anyway) and I need to spend sufficient time explaining the usage of the home theater system (which I have not figured out yet).
Kinda creepy having a stranger (to me anyway) sleeping in my bed for 2 weeks.

Coral, I was recommending this camera to a friend of mine. She has broken several cameras and her husband refuses to buy her any more:confused3
Let Megan know it isn't just her, plenty of clumsy adults too;)

We're planning on boarding Harley and having Dad come over and take care of Kiki while we're gone.

I pet-sat for a former boss years ago and as the sitter I can tell you it felt a bit weird to be sleeping in someone else's bed! But she was really sweet, left me tons of food (hardly touched it), told me it was okay to have DH (then my fiance) stay with me if I wanted and basically gave me the run of her home.

Well dang. My "little biopsy" turns out to be basal cell cancer. The bad thing is this on the side of my nose. At least I will be easily identifiable on the cruise cause I will have only half a nose!:lmao:
Oh well! We all have something.

Coral

I am so very sorry to hear that Coral!

Shopping/math alert

I guess the shopping powers of some of the wenches on this thread have rubbed off on Linda. She went to Kohl's today, and was looking at the luggage. They had a Buy One Get One Free sign and they also had a sale sign by the rolling garment bags. They were originally $99 each, but were on sale for $50. She asked a salesperson if they were also BOGO free. He asked a manager who said that the BOGO sale ended yesterday and they missed taking down the signs. So she offered her the opportunity to buy two of them for $50. Of course she took them. And she had a 15% off coupon too, so she got the 2 garment bags for $42.50 instead of $198. That's a 78% savings!

Wow great buy! Another great shopper! I better start taking notes.

Coral: I won't preach because I am sure you got that from the Dr. The good news is........They found it !!! I can only imagine how :scared1: it was to hear that word. So they are going to take care of before cruise and you will be all better and everyone will be telling you a million times..........Coral do ya put more sunscreen on your face?:thumbsup2

Feel free to vent, cry, laugh, whatever you need to do. I know I do.:rolleyes1 I have a drooping eye from my stroke. We will fit right in together.;)

HUGE< BIG< EXCITING NEWS

I have decided to give up 1st and 2nd prizes that I had for my dis-meet party, and donate them to the TOAL !!!

So as a group decide how & & when we wan't to give them out. One suggestion is NOT giving it for best costume.:rolleyes1 Sorry Captain.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So 1st Prize is............Autograph Copy of National Treasure Book Of Secrets Script
(Actual copy of script with all cast autograpghs )

2nd prize is.................Autograph Copy ( Color ) Of Nicholas Cage

Any suggestions??? What ya'll think? Sorry starting to talk southern.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think that's extremely generous of you! :flower3:

Naw! I love it!!!! :lmao:

Thanks and I hope everything goes well for yal too. Sounds stressful.

Thanks, I am good. We are busy planning a funeral for my nose. It was a good one too. Gonna miss it. :rotfl:

Imagine if I had no nose. My DD asked where I was going to put my sunglasses. She said I needed an assistant to hold them on.

Good Luck on your training. I should be there too.

Wow! I'd say any contest that I would have a chance of winning......Nope :confused3 can't think of any. :)

Briliant! How much fat do you think they would need from my backside to make a new nose?:lmao:
On the right side. :confused3

Like I said- we all have something and I am due.
I just want time to have a "normal" nose before we go on the trip.

I hope I am not offending anyone that has "real" medical issues. This is the baby of the cancer world and I am a big girl. ;)

I really feel like a brat for complaining about a stupid $60 when you & others have much bigger issues to deal with!

My wife had same thing, same place about 2 months before our wedding. Mohs surgery left her with black eye and she told everyone I hit her....

 :lmao:

Not quite, dahlin' Y'all is spelled with the apostrophe-thingie between the y and the all (short for you all).

If y'all spell it ya'll, they'll think you are either a Yankee or graduated from the University (sic) of Georgia...

Well that explains it! I always spell it ya'll. :rolleyes1

Coral,
I hope all works out well. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep up the positive attitude. As I understand it this is one of the most treatable forms with a very high success rate.

Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me. I have a job interview next week. It is with the same firm, but a different office and position...and hopefully a raise. My current department is not big on upward mobility. I am pretty much at the top.

More ice and snow here today - yuck. So much fun slip sliding to work this morning.

Best of luck!!! :wizard:

...OK now I'm on the right computer!

turkeylegsmall.jpg

Word of advice to all pirates - beat DH to the buffet!
I personally think those things are foul (pun intended).

So Laura, do you know about the hidden turkey leg in WDW??

hiddenturkeyleg.jpg

I sure hope that's a turkey leg he's holding! :scared1:

food fight

hehe....gotta have some fun at the kids NPIF table :rotfl:

:duck:

Yes, this has been a particularly nasty winter. And it isn't over yet.

SWMBO and I have been talking about cruising in 2009 but that will wait until after Europe (21 days, 23 hours, 28 minutes). 2009 vacation budget might be going to finishing the basement though...

Want to hear all about your trip & see lots of pics when you get back! :yay:

Is anyone else watching this silly Do's & Don'ts of cruising?

Don't arrive early?? Are ya kidding?

They always try to keep you away until they're "ready" for you, but I don't think it's going to work with this group! :dance3:

TOGA, TOGA, TOGA! And just think - we wouldn't have to pack the costumes for that, just take the sheets off the beds!:lmao:

Sure and Tina can award the one who wears the best sheet! :goodvibes

I was thinking it sounded familiar-basically NY

I love his "you know you're a red neck" stuff. Not too far off from my family tree either;)

Mine either & we're all yankees! :confused3

My Dad was from Brooklyn too. He was a huge Dodger fan before they moved.

NO it is NOT a sign! You will find another option, I am sure of it! ;)
