Good heavens! There are more important things in life than busting an honor student for buying candy! OMG! There real are "Sugar" Police! :scared1:

Just so everyone is aware that DL has E-tickets available. We have used them before and it is kind of nice to print them at home and not have to stand in any lines. If the ticket you want is available online I would highly suggest doing this. Here is a FAQ about them. I am not sure if WDW has this option.

Thanks Roger. We will have most of Thur and all Day Fri & Sat, so probably looking at a 3 day pass.

I noticed a lot a questions about who was getting to Disneyland when, so I started a thread on the Pirate Zone for those of us doing Disneyland before the cruise. This way we can know who will be arriving when, in case people want to try to meet up ahead of time for lunch, a show, a tour, etc.

Here's the link:

Thanks Mike, I should of checked! Mind brain is still numb from the stupid PTO meeting I attended this morning!

You scared me for a moment there. Showing my age, I thought you were talking about the old E-Ride tickets, not electronic tickets. Now that I think about it, I feel old!!! :rotfl:

I know Tom31b has an aerial shot of the area with liquor stores but this should suffice in the meantime. Disneyland Liquor Stores

Thanks! Harbor Cove Liquor & Gift‎ looks like it is right next to my hotel! Now to find out their hours and how inflated their prices are compared to the drinks on the cruise.

This is what I did - it was really easy and my DL 1 day park hopper ticket is saved down as a pdf to my work computer with all of my other planning files for this trip.

I guess it is who you talk to at DCL on which dining time has a waitlist. ;) I missed most of the pirate night when I had an 8:30 seating!! We are trying to link for the 8:00 pm. which I have had before. I found this perfect but we are only two adults.( I am still a kid at heart)

We do have several families with children for Crew Dining. You have time to decide!!:flower3: Just let us know before we link the thread dining which time you want.:grouphug:

We are on the waitlist for late dining too. I hope we are able to get it!
When I called DCL, they said alot of the Mexican Riviera cruises and the panama cruises had waitlists for late dining...oh well, I had no clue when I booked....lol

Don't get too excited, I believe Harbor Cove is a small motel gift shop with a few bottles. Not sure how much of a selection you'll have.

Sounds great, Laurie!

Please remind me if you will be at the Disneyland pre-cruise meet on Saturday, Aug. 16th.
I'm sooo jealous of the DL meet you guys have. So far we are not planning to get to DL this time

My Andrew (who goes by Drew) is very close to this same height. And he only weighs like 75 lbs. And my dd who is 4 yrs and 4 mos. younger, is catching up fast! He will just die if she passes him!
Someone asked me at their Tae Kwon Do lessons if mine were twins:rolleyes: So far he has managed to stay a hair taller:rolleyes1

Laurie can speak for herself, of course, but my recollection is that she is coming in on Saturday the 16th and staying at the Radisson near the port . . .
We have reservations at the Doubletree for Saturday night. I haven't bought our plane tickets yet (prices have been bad) so when we fly in is not set yet. The plan was to save money and stress-fly in on Sat. and go straight to the hotel, but I would love to do the DL meet:guilty:

Whenever we are at a school function or event, and get a chance to see Drew in direct comparison with so many others his age, it's always a bit shocking. But luckily, his group of friends mostly tend to be on the small side too....so at least he blends in with them.
Same with mine. He has a very good friend that is only an inch taller too, seems to help

My Daughter is 13 and about the same size as your son. She is used to being one of the smallest in school, etc (The band uniform had to be "drastically" altered to even come close to fitting her, the PE Uniform comes down to her knees, etc). But, when she is hanging with all of her gymnastic buddies - she looks just the right size! So, tell your son if he doesn't grow much more, he can find a lot of cute little girls at local gymnastic gym, or dance studio, etc. :thumbsup2
:lmao: :lmao: I'll remind him:thumbsup2

Been there done that about 25 years ago.:goodvibes My son was always short in stature but huge on brains.:rolleyes1 I took him to a specialist at 12 twelve years old. I was told because of his hereditary traits ......hormone growth shots were not an option. :sad2: I was told he would never be over 5' 2". I think he graduated high School at 5 feet tall. We sent him off to college. To make a long story short....He grew 7 inches at the age of 18 to stand 5'7" today.:yay: He is well respected in the field of Biology as a world wide trouble shooter for a huge pharmaceutical company.:thumbsup2 Doctors are not always right!!! He was also diagnosed at the age of 6 with a learning disablitiy till he was tested in 1st grade. He was tested and went off the charts with his IQ. He was just bored with what the school was teaching him. Life is full of surprises.;)

5'7'' would be fine with us:goodvibes He was bored to tears in first grade too. Became the class clown instead. Annoyed his teacher big time:rolleyes1 He tends more toward the computer stuff though.

Somebody stop this ride......I want to get off!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In upper management's infinite wisdom :sad2: we are going to be reorganized again. This means possible lay offs.

Same thing happened this time last year (and the year before that and the year before that and so on). I ended up safe although I was a target. I got reassigned to a different job. I hate the job I have right now. I haven't been able to get the hang of things so I'm probably the lowest performer. That plus all the time I've had to take off with DS's illnesses.

So I'm not feeling too confident this time around. Not sure where I'll land. They said all decisions should be made by April.

On top of that, they've announced that managers are not allowed to plan non-refundable vacations for April - Dec of 2009. We will be in contract negotiations with our union employees. And if they decide to strike than all managers are on mandatory duty. They are giving us plenty of notice so that no one can try to get out of it. Oh, and unless we can prove it would be a hardship, they can assign us to work anywhere in the country.

The fun just never stops. Thank God that in just 24 hours I will be sitting in the airport waiting for my plane to LA.

What are the different early and late seatings to help us choose? I think 8:00 p.m. would be great, especially if that's when everyone else from here is dining.

OMG! :scared1: That is absolutely insane! Talk about not seeing the situation realistically.
Sometimes good ideas get completely taken another direction. :sad2:

I would be so mad if I was this kid's Mom:headache: Suspended from school for buying candy plus additional punishments:scared1: Talk about going overboard:sad2:
Who didn't buy candy when they were in school:confused3

I changed jobs in 2005 after almost 11 years with the same company and 17 years in the same field. I just couldn't take hating my job anymore:sad2:
Hope everything works out for you Monica:hug:

Lance Mackey won the Iditarod this morning. That's him with his 2 lead dogs, Larry & Hansom. No one has ever won the 2 big sled dog races back to back in one year (Yukon Quest & Iditarod). Mackey did it this year AND last year. Amazing.

We got up this morning to listen to streaming radio. As DH pointed out:

We are not too odd for giving up sleep for...
- the super bowl
- the world series

It gets a bit stranger for...
- the Olympics - winter and summer

But...we're pretty much totally cracked for...
- an ECHL hockey team
- Dogs pulling a sled to Nome

we love you, cracks & all  :rotfl2:

ok i wasn't ignoring you Capt.... Yesterday was crazy busy and today's pretty scatterbrained too....

We are at 114 to link for Capt's dining so far..... (potentially another 25-30 if M&S's friends are there too)

Come on people.....We need to fill the room....

Wouldn't you rather eat near the rest of us than total strangers?

Any linking will not happen until way after the 90 day mark (probably about 30 days out) so shouldn't affect the 90 hooplah for booking excursions early.....

are you emailing back to confirm? I sent you an email & would hate to miss being linked. You're the bomb for doing this.
