No .......Not that post........This one!!!:flower3: :flower3:

WANT TO DINE WITH THE CAPT or the CREW?

Want to join other pirates for dinner? We are spearheading linking together a large group for Capt’s dining (Early) and for Crew dining (Late). I’m pretty sure we have enough people at Capt’s dining to even fill a whole dining room!!!How cool would that be.

Anyway, in order to accomplish all this….We need your help and some info.

First the easy part: (Your Info)

Note that this info stays with ONLY your PIRATE Dining Coordinator/Wench and ONLY gets shared with DCL Dining Reservations staff when we make our request.

I have volunteered to co-ordinate Capt’s Dining. If you are in capt’s dining, please send your info in an e-mail to me at goofyforlife @ yahoo.com

Cheryl has graciously volunteered to co-ordinate Crew Dining. If you are in crew dining, please send your info in an e-mail to her at micmsecheryl @ yahoo.com

If you are on a dining rotation and are on a wait list. Please let us know….. On previous cruises we were able to get people changed since they were with our group.
Send your info to the rotation you are currently on but let us Dining Wenches know where you are waitlisted to.

Please note that we will try our best to arrange pirates accordingly but be aware that the tables do rotate around the room each night. (ie you will always be near others in your dining station (ie same wait staff) but the next station over may differ from restaurant to restaurant) BUT WHO CARES WE’RE ALL A SCURVY BUNCH!!!!!

Please include the following info in your email:
Subject line : TOAL CAPT’S DINING REQUEST or TOAL CREW DINING REQUEST

DIS ID:
PARTY SIZE:
CABIN #: (if you are currently gty give us your ressie # and then let us know room # as soon as it is assigned.)
KIDS AGES:
Special Requests:
Want one large table or will two smaller tables work or maybe you want to dine alone.
Find people with kids the same age or are you looking for adults only conversations?
Waitlisted? For which sitting?

NOTE: If you have are co-ordinating for multiple cabins we need both cabin #’s (again only for DCL Dining). Also note that I do not believe we will be able to make requests for specific waitstaff or rotations.

DCL has not decided as of yet whether they will have one sitting for each time or the 3 sitting like currently on the Magic. We as a group will be asking for either 6pm for Capt’s Dining or 8pm for Crew Dining.

PS: WE CAN EVEN TAKE REQUESTS FOR CRASH'S GROUP OF 30 (you guys can have your own wait station.

PPS TOM31b PLEASE PUT THIS ON FIRST PAGE AND ON PIRATE WEBSITE....

OK all - will be doing some posting tonight - I will be contacting those that have so far asked to be on the SM list. I spent the entire Oscar process doing this worksheet and this is sad - looks like there are an equal number of kids to adults. My fault - I will contact Tom tonight but in the meantime, be aware that I will be sending an email out to confirm only. PLEASE do not send anything until tomorrow - I will then post here when I have sent them off.

Keep in mind that I am on CA (PST) time and that I am an insomniac and will be working late - hopefully by Tuesday morning - you all will have gotten something - those that I have anything for. If after that time you haven't heard from me - please pm me. But as I said - I will make an announcement here and will be contacting Tom to put further info someplace else.

Thanks All -

I don't get it. :confused3
Why is it sad that there's an equal number of kids and adults???

:wave2: ..jus m>,,, i forgot..to mentioned...if you are feeling up
to it..make sure ...you visit..."the rock house". [ hocking hills].

* make sure your recovery..is complete..due to the challange
of walking..around cliffs....ps, it's an outstanding place....for
family pictures.., it is an astounding...work of
nature. pixiedust:

sure don't want you to be "laid up"..during our cruise..so don't
do any wild dancing...:dance3: ..., or peeping over the cliffs..
oh, no reason...ps, wild dancing..also means..getting up on the
tables.

dear micmse....i sought "permission"...from my lil'miss cutie, & she
wanting us to do the 8 pm. are you gals..scheduling for that time~
frame?

a few years..ago...those in power, [ my guess..connections to the drug
companies]...decided..."pain"..must be eradicated.."all pain". where do
these idiots..come from..or more importantly..how do they obtained this
power..to influenced....our health care systems? *this is why i
mentioned..the cancer-depression reference. pain-both physical &
emotional..are major parts of our life....and while..not desired.....they
make up ....our major...WArning system. in many instances, different
types of pains..help us grow & mature..our coping system...and provide
insights toward aging, and all the things that goes with it. i think
pain..should be defined in many different levels and then assocaited
with "processing"..the difference between...normal and abnormal.
* where abnormal..requires...support measures..including chemical
interentions. but :scared1: !...today, we're seeing drugs ordered...
[in the community].... using this excuse - "pain-both kinds".....
for conditions..that are resulting in addictions...[ where our current
interventions...are bouncing off as if they're nothing but a joke]..
ruining lives..forever. & they are very young..to the very old.

* to us..it like "they" think..they are superman..& they think..they are
fooling .."us"..while it is sooo self evident...their livies..are over! for
example..what should..the 20's age group be....accomplishing?..i don't
think..getting a supply..of benzo.,...isn't one of them. ps, that "is"..all
they care about. i can't explained..how " "..it is to "see"..these
...this ..waste..of life.

you think street drugs..are bad? ....this is much worst..& "created" by
our drs. something.."by law"..need to be done. & we're going have
to adopted..a more severe ...interventions...if they have any chance
of recovery.

what kind of dr. ordered narcotics...for pn. pain? pn., compromised your
respiratory system..so when..heath..took the rxs.s, he went to sleep...
forever. if "you"..could see..what we see... daily...then
you would know....how wrong...these drs. are. oh, you kno a lil'...
if you ever watch ..those cops ..shows.

addiction in reality..we all are can become adddcited..to chemicals...
because..our primary..system...respond to chemcials...including
sustaining life. we make alot of chemical cpds. , so when we take..
support chemical into our system..long enough, then our body stop
making our normal levels...then when one tries to stop the artifical
chemicals....its takes our body a lil'time [ equal to he time we be
doing the artifical substances]...to re~start, producing terrible
cravings & the s/s of withdraws.

etoh=washing out out thiamine & vitamins..that help regulate our nervous
system...seen by the tremors...labor & tremors...?.. this is why i think
whoever..recognized this connection & vitamin b6, is..so promising.

after the acute phases from injuries/operations...the reason...a person
is taking..any narcotics...or benzos., is for moods disorder, not pain.
oh, also emotional pain..to. but-( drs., in our opinions..are no longer
meeting their oaths, they prescribed..these drugs..geting kickbacks
from drug companies [you be surprised ...how many free "perks"..
they get..but who's really paying ..for the free part? ] ..so start
the addictions & thney make the news....alot.

when... a person suffers a terrible lost....it is normal..to feel depress,
but there are no recovery..from taking a "pill". chemicals..limitations,
from the nurses outlook...."they only replace, speed up or slow
down..our body functions..that's it.

why educate..the public..its all our future ..generation..& the quality
of living life..like here, people that knows..how to chose the very
best life has to offer. & we are seeing way to many young people,
with the only desire..to get a pill. a rx. pill.
how bad is it..we had pharmcies..being robbed..not banks. &
patients dump..on us...trying to kill us ..for our narcotics' keys. i
like to have a meeting with the dr. who set this up. [ the rn was
hurt..was out for 2 years.]

nor are we, @ a level...to even begin...their recovery..my guess...is a
fornestic type apporach..is their only hope.

why do you ythink..a 20 y/o..has a roommate in his 50's? drug supplier.
from the 50 y/o rxs meds. why do you think..the reason..they come
in to the hospital? they say..to detox, in reality..to "get drugs".

pain...isn't all bad..by far. a labor rn...uses..pain/discomforts..as a guide,
that reflect..progress &...when something begins to go wrong. there are
no words..to described..how accomplished..the ob nurses...i used to
work with...and how many...lives..they saved..[babys & mothers].
pixiedust: * they knew exactly...where the labor had progressed..& when
to call the dr. every time. they did the internal monitoring , and
pick up..the very first sign..of trouble. i kept..in touch..with them
thru my entired career...until they passed on.

..[ i thought i had pics. of them ..on the computer, but i don't].

dear. m& m, :flower3: .. i was shocked..to hear your story...[ fyi, i
think your reactions..were prefectly normal..& i 'm sorry that the lack
of sensitivity..was missed...causing you undue pain. [ even back in
the 70's , it was common..practice..to seaprated the 2 groups.]

..i thought..alot about your reflection & can imagine where the feelings
are coming from. the way..i saw..my wife's pregnancies..was
this:..we made this situation together..so thru thick & thin...we went
thru it together,..all the appointments ..& tests...the pain & agnonies.
we had the same goal..a healthy baby. i never.."felt" ...the problems
as hers alone...& i hope ..to have had more sense..not to blame her
if the results..would've been different. however, having a background
helped....alot...since i knew..what was going on. i can see..where
fathers..might blame out of frustrations,..when they are never told
anything . another important factor...."beforehand...i have heard
about...such a scream....from...the nurses."* i have never heard them
myself...but i knew what it meant..& where my wife was [ fighting off
the pitocin...trying, to prevent...an explosive delivery..that would
have been worst..then cerebral palsy]...nor can i express the anger/
fear..of watching..the person, you  ,going thru something with
the stakes..so high..when it should've never happened. when the
students bolted..i wanted to join them. 5 years later, this came
to pay...as a major factor..why we decided no more. then another
5 years..was when....we had that lil'fight...& she decided to take all
"three "..of them ..for a ride. [ thats' my jokster---:drive: ]

i would hope..if you share your story..with the hospital, they would
take make a corrective measure.

You should post this once a day or every other day just so people know ....you know how fast this thread can move sometimes and not everyone goes to the first page ...

Great minds think alike!!!:wave2: Now you should be scared!!!:crazy2:

Don't you just love tax time. I try to break about even every year, I do pretty well on the federal side. But KY, keeps changing the way they do our S-corps and the last 3 years have been the pits. They went back to the way it was done in 04 this year, but didn't decide that until December.:crazy2:

I used to like tax time when I got money back. :thumbsup2 I guess the good news is I have no mortgage....the bad news is I have no decuctions!!!

dear micmse....i sought "permission"...from my lil'miss cutie, & she

We are trying the rotation for Captains Dining at 6:00 pm. and late dining at 8:00 pm.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 you need to email me your Room Number or Ressie Number with name, how many people are in the family with ages of children and if you would like to linked with another Dis family. :flower3: I handle the traitor or late dining and Kristina aka Goffyforlife is handling the early or Captain's dining time.

Geez I hope all these childbirth stories don't scare off the moms to someday be! Like I said, my first one went off almost perfectly but I think it helps to be forwarned that things can & do happen & stick to your guns. If it doesn't seem right, question it. No matter how offended the doctor might be. ::yes::

I can honestly say that I am scared to have kids someday...(not becuase of your stories...so many of you have such great stories of strength and courage)I know scary things can happen.....and thinking about it I wonder if I could have such strength?

I do know I want kids and so does Brendan....so hopefully we will be blessed!
(when the time comes!)

Again..thank you to all who shared your experiences....:grouphug:

Chrissie

So I have been dragging (with the promise of food and cake samples) Brendan to all these wedding expos. So we have met some good photogs and djs. But the main reason I like to go is the swag....free stuff! So I gather all the free stuff (some were fresh orchids!) and enter all the contests....we have won dance lessons and now..just got the call....$300 towards laser hair removal!!!!

Can't wait to tell him!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

Chrissie

It's different when they are your own. You have way more patience. :)

LG, I had an answer for this and lost it. I realize that medicine keeps evolving and there are new and wonderous developments. My grandmother and Alan's mom both had infants stillborn or never the leave the hospital. I honestly blamed myself for the downturn Alan's mom took after Christopher died--she died several months afterwards. She was dealing with colon and lung cancer and she gave up when Christopher died.

Yes, I believe that hospitals staffs are very overworked. I don't see how they can be thorough in what they do when they put in so many hours. I think that has a lot to do with insurance co. dictating so much about medical care and also with a lot of workers relying on their overtime pay to make ends meet at home. I do think that it is irresponsible of a hospital or supervisor to have someone do a job they are not trained to do.

I never gave a thought until Julie was naming her friend's children and them all boys. And you to mention that they hope for girls when they face problems. Really makes you wonder why? I have been thinking all day about preemies I know and I have to say they have been all girls--only 1 boy. I was 42 weeks pregnant with Christopher--my dr. sent me for 2 stress tests, but I didn't know that over 40 weeks was harder on the baby. Adam was a scheduled c-sect. at 38 weeks.

I think it is a hard hurdle to get over for a young married couple. Probably a reason for divorce in a lot of the couples. It would be probably one of their biggest life's challenges. As the mother, we have so much guilt and feel that we failed in something that so many women do so easily.

Even after Adam was born, that night just kept running through my head. I didn't have the nerve to request my medical records for almost 2 years. The hospital was getting ready to disconnect the monitor and send me home--false labor then Christopher's heartbeat was lost--it took them 38 minutes to even start prepping me for an emergency c-sect (there was no dr there and it was 3 am) I sure didn't know any better--I'd never had a baby before. But you do expect when you go to a hospital that they are prepared for things---it just isn't always the case. I took the records to my dr. --he got defensive with me (I never understood why he did because he wasn't there at the hospital) To me 38 minutes was a long time--that was all I questioned. I have never gone back to him. I never contemplated suing--I couldn't have spent a dime of any money---I just wanted to hear it wasn't my fault.

I am so happy for you and Coral that you both had happy outcomes and have sweet princesses.:flower3: :flower3:

Paula, doesn't sound like you did anything wrong:hug:
I thought my doc was overdoing it when he scheduled a c-section for me at 38 weeks because I had one slightly high blood pressure reading (taken on a Friday afternoon while my 3 year old was with me). I was annoyed that they kept me hooked up to a monitor continuously because I was a VBAC. Guess I understand now why my doc was so cautious:sad2: Not every health care worker is good and even the good ones have bad days:confused3
:grouphug:

Oh Paula- I am so sorry. I did not know you have had that loss. I hope it is not upsetting to read about others that "made it". :grouphug:
I know exactly what you mean by being a 1st time Mom and not know what to do.
I went to my Dr. on a Friday morning unbeknown to me in full blown labor at 20 weeks. He checked me and I was 50% effaced and dialted to a 3. His office was on the same floor at a hospital of Labor and Delivery and he SENT ME HOME!! I stupidly went. By the time we went to the emergency room on Sunday morning I was 75% effaced and dialted to a 6- at 20 weeks! It still took the Dr. 6 hours to get to the hospital to decide what to do. :sad2:
The options were limited then so I was put in a bed upside down (deep trendelenberg) hooked up to IV's cathethers etc and I did not move for 3 1/2 weeks.
My Dr. was a total idiot and told me the whole time there was no way I was going to make it to viability and if I did the baby would die immediately. Idiot!
When I went for a followup I asked him why he did not do anything that 1st day and he said I was just looking to blame someone. :sad2: Needless to say, that was the last time I ever saw him.

Paula- you were probably like me with your 2nd pregnancy. I was too scared to be excited because they had no clue what caused Megan to be early.
I, wisely decided that 2 children was just perfect with me. :)

OMG:eek:
This is not the norm !!!!
Really a miracle that your DD survived at 24 weeks especially with that Dr:sad2:
I did chromosome analysis on amnios and new born babies for many years so I had a lot of contact with OB and NICU drs. I can't believe he sent you home:scared:
I really appreciate the drs I had now that I heard what you, Paula and others have gone through:sad2:

aww Shelley

I myself am starting to have serious doubts about taking ANY family members with me....

I finally went out to the DCL excursion lists to look around and just looked at the Cabo ones.

Well apparently that started WW3 in that DH refuses to even consider anything that i want to do. And i'm not going on this trip to sit on the boat the whole time with his grumpy add in the room. I'd rather stay home if that's what i'd have to put up with.

Any chance dining could put my dh and dd at another rotation and let me eat with the fun crowd?

Apparently since he doesn't swim he WON't do anything that involves water or boats. (although he did do ok on the Glass bottom boat in the Bahamas)

I'd like to do the BOB's (ok no snarky quotes swabbies) or the yacht race thing or at least the Los arcos boat tour.

Does anyone else feel like they're saddled with the wet blanket?

and does your wet blanket make you feel as guilty as mine? Apparently my leaving them behind would be as terrible as trying to force them to go on the excursion.

Anyone think i've got enough time to get a divorce and take custody of the DCL TOAL ressie?

i could just scream today......:hyper:

Oh boy, I have those days when I want to leave DH behind too.

My Mother and her sister can't swim and are deathly afraid of the water. I could never get my Mom on a cruise ship, let alone a smaller boat:rolleyes: Your DH may not want to admit just how scared he really is of boats:confused3

I really want to do the BOB excursion as well, but would have to leave my DD behind since she will only be 11. I found a company that has a very similar excursion called minisubs. But when I emailed them, the woman responding said that "if my daughter was only 11 she couldn't do it because she had to be 12". Well I'm not sure if it is wishful thinking or just her English, but I was hoping she meant that as long as I list her as 12 that she could go. Now, unless they check her passport, they wouldn't know that she wasn't 12 right ? Anyway, I have no problem leaving my DH behind, but I don't want to leave my DD behind:rolleyes:
Check out this site and sign your DH up for basket weaving or something;)
They have group rates for groups of 10 or more.
