I passed my Top 200 Drugs test today!!!

It was actually on over 250 drugs, and we had to know what they were used for, starting, typical, and maximum doses, side effects, and interactions. It was pretty stressful, because we need to pass it to be allowed to go on our clinical rotations. So that's one more hurdle over, and that much closer to finishing!

CONGRATS!!!!

Thomas is going to be excited that he's got people to hang with!! What other things is your DS into?

He is very artistic, plays piano and clarinet, loves video games and runs track. Have your ds join in on the kids thread. My ds is BlueDrew.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Congratulations Mike !:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Thanks Deanna, there are a lot of funny people in this group. I have a feeling we're going to be laughing the whole trip. Ladies ya better start your Kegel exercises (you know what I'm talking about)

Lisa, Oh so funny and so true. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (better be careful or I will pee my pants):lmao: :lmao:

I thought I would stop in and say hello, but I am even more confused than ever. I am uncertain what happened to the first thread that listed everyone and who was going to do the research for the ports, as I had voluntered.

Maybe someone could shed some light on this for me.

If I want to see the information that is being planned for this cruise do I have to join the other website?:confused3

Yeah, astronaut underwear would take up way too much room in the suitcase.

I wondered who that was. I also have a Drew. The kids both have Dis IDs now we just need a few minutes to post something.

My offspring are Bonesaw626 & HockeyPluto.

This was from one of my favorites signs that used to hang in the office when I used to work for one of the Bell companies:

"There are two giant entities at work in our country, and they both have an amazing influence on our daily lives.

One has given us radar, sonar, stereo, teletype, the transistor, hearing aids, artificial larynxes, talking movies, and the telephone.

The other has given us the Civil War, the Spanish American War, the First World War, the Second World War, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, double-digit inflation, double digit unemployment, the Great Depression, the gasoline crisis, and the Watergate fiasco.

Guess which one is trying to tell the other how to run the phone business?"

I bought two of your companies phones today!!!!:thumbsup2 Is that going to help.:rolleyes1

Do I dare ask what my nickname would be.............shop-aholic.:confused3 :lmao: :lmao:

Hi -- sorry for the confusion but this was really not our fault -- the long threads were slowing down the Dis so they locked our first one. If you look at the first post on this thread, Tom31b has a lot of the information there, as well as a link to our pirate zone website that has more detailed info. You don't have to join to see the virtual cruise, which has lots of useful port info in it.

Weren't you on the Med repo last August?, or am I confused . . .:goodvibes

Not to mention it really bulks up under the Tinkerbell outfit in a very unattractive manner . . . we'd better stick to the Kegels . . .

I doubt it since you probably paid 42 cents for both of them.

But imagine the weapons commando robe Elizabeth could tuck into those puppies.

Yeah you could clearly take on Tom and Andrew with the weapons concealed in the space diapers . . . of course, they would be pretty easy to take on anyway . . . and the space diapers, once again, would create one heck of a panty line under the robe . . .

We're stuck with the Kegels regardless . . .

Nahh, just cover them up with Spanx.

Crash - sending lots of :tink: and pixiedust: out your way  . Seems that news like this is hitting hard and exceptionally close to home. I will speak more of this come Friday. I'm dealing with a bit of bad news myself although looks like there may be a little ray of hope not much but we're grappling for it - more on this later.

... [ed]....

Crash - Andrew can't blame you for this one! :rotfl:

... [ed]...

Thanks for the thoughts.... and may I add, I'm actully happy to have had TOM31 doing the Andrew Image ripping - thus bolstering my facade of "INNOCENCE".... < "wink" >

Very well said!

Tom, I will be praying for your friend Jean, and for your friend also Julie.

You're with me on that one . . .:sad2:

Crash, my middle daughter has a Krazor, and it's a good phone. You got a good price, too.

My advice to you with your friends, is to offer to help -- but don't leave it at that. When a family is going through something like that, they don't often think to ask, or feel uncomfortable asking, for help even from people who have offered. Just do things for them -- or call and ask if you can bring over pizza, or pick up their child from school, or do their lawn or laundry -- be specific. I can tell you from experience that something like this will be appreciated more than flowers. And don't forget about them once the initial crisis is over . . .

We'd normally do a lot more except I'm a bit off balance since Alicia is out of town tonite and we're leaving town on Friday to meet 2 other families for the weekend. Otherwise, there's all kinds of things Alicia and I would be doing. However, I am gonna visit tomorrow and pick up next week since things will return more to normal.

Crash, give our prayers and pixie dust to your friend. Odds are meant to be beaten.

:grouphug: So sorry to read about your friend, Tom. Prayers all around for Jean and her family and yours as you go thru this difficult time. Sure puts life in perspective and lets you know what is really important in life. Family and good friends. :grouphug:

Well folks,

... Jean is out of surgery and recovering well in ICU. Her memory appears normal and that's a good thing, eh? Her husband Peter seems very upbeat now. So I'm quite happy too. Of course, the real challenge remains ahead for them. Renal cancer that's obviously spread - even after they excised a kidney is not a good thing. However, we all have to happy with where we are today and we should always make the best of today in the here and now, right?

OK, I'm going to work on some stuff with the kids now.... while I steal a few glances at the TV and the web here.

Laurie, I had Snuggles put to sleep at 22 and Patches at 16. It's hard to do.

I don't have a picture of Snuggles on my computer, but he looked exactly like this maine coon.
200px-Travismainecoon.jpg

Those Maine Coons are gorgeous cats:lovestruc
Reebok has the tuxedo markings (black and white). Gotta get my DH to help me upload some of our pics:rolleyes: We have a really great one of her sitting in the infant car seat. She liked being our only baby:laughing:

My FIL's cat is still alive at roughly 17 best as we can guess. I remember then getting it as a kitten off a farm when dh and i were first dating back in late 1991. It was pretty ferral then and my now deceased mil was the only person who could get near it without being clawed to death. Even after they declawed it, he still bites (well i think it may be a he, who knows).

It lives in FIL's basement now mostly (it's kinda incontinent) and is still mean as ever.

We did adopt a kitten last summer that was rescued from a feral colony. We were so surprised to find him very cuddly:confused3 His sister was not put up for adoption because they said she wasn't ready yet. Same litter but totally different personalities. I think the cats I had growing up as a kid didn't live as long because they were mostly outdoor cats.
