How bout this one, M?

kkj3.jpg

Oh, I like that one!

For anyone who is thinking about or who has already booked transfers thru DCL from DLR to the Port, the schedule is as follows: The bus will leave first from the Disneyland Hotel at 12:00 pm, Paradise Pier at 12:10 and Grand Californian at 12:20

Now back to your regularly scheduled fluff...

Do you think they will lt me use my DCL transfer to get from the airport to DL?

I'd rather take the pirate bus to the port. pirate:

So, does everyone remember the frenzy that took place one year ago today......:rotfl:

We were on the magic sailiing to Castaway Cay :cloud9: and just by chance had asked for a PC crossing quote and was quite surprised that after seeing the quote we found ourselves putting down the deposit. Then we sat back and enjoyed the rest of our cruise. Only until we came home did we realize what frenzy there was. We feel lucky to have been on the ship and it was sort of one of those things that fall into your lap - it was meant to be!:dance3:

Where do I go to see the Disney Dresses? They are beautiful! Unfortunately I do not have the upper half to support the Jasmine or the Ariel, but I would love to see the other dresses.

My company is a big sponsor of the Olympics this year. We've got this neat digital countdown clock (down days, minutes, seconds) displayed in the cafeteria. I use it as my own TOAL countdown clock, just have to add 10 days to it. Olympics = 8/8/08, TOAL = 8/18/08............ooops...TOAL = 8/17/08

med_air_car.jpg

Better watch it Monica! If ya have the wrong date fer yer countdown thinking to embarkation you'll find yerself caching a flight into mexico to catch the ship! LOL!

OK.... I been sort of swamped and crazy distracted... and busy. Had the 2 kids last nite - and one had a huge sleeping issue - and truly NEEDED me to cradle her in my arms while she tried to get back to sleep. Of course, this resulted in my losing a couple hours sleep when I really needed to sleep - unlike NOW when I'm up fer other reasons and NOT needing to fall asleep immediately.

At any rate, what I'm trying to get around to saying is I can hardly believe my eyes with so many new pages of postings! I had just barely caught up the other day and now.... whew!

OK... fer the record - I'm not sure yet - but I might be able to swing by the DL meet/dinner (if space remains available, Roger) in ... wuz it March or May? whichever or whenever it was set for - I think my schedule is shifting - maybe - and I might make it. Only thing is I might not go with my spouse in tow and thus I'll come along with one of my kids... not both. And I'll be in Boston again it looks like for the weekend of June 14-15th ... then later in that week following my family will either hang out in the Boston area or drive down to NYC for a play / to explore - or depending on what my BIL sez he'll do or not do ... we might hop a train or plane to WDC... something I've wanted to do fer some time - to see our nations' capital with my kids - see the museums and such. Then the 2nd weekend we might spend half of it in Boston again - before flying home late saturday thus allowing us a day on the weekend to "recover". Oh yeah... we're doin' Yosemite in March too... and Big bear in 2 weeks ... a rented home in Big bear with 2 other families and the same 2 families in large facilities just outside the main gate in Yosemite.

I just bought 5 sleds or snow tubes in the past 2 days. The image at top is in homage to the 100s of house rental listings I've scanned before settleing on the rental we just made for the coming Presidents' holiday - and the time I've spent arranging the upcoming Yosemite and Boston trips in recent days.

This is likely my single posting of the day - well... maybe it's just my FIRST posting of the day.,.. we'll have to wait an' see how the coming day goes, eh?

aqaw4102large.jpg

I bought 3 of these tubes and 2 sleds - and in the coming days I want to maybe get a tobaggin too.... though Alicia thinks I'm nuts!

Good morning everyone

Just think one year ago today we were all in a frenzy trying to book our cruise, or in my case, a lot of cruises for my clients :)
Now we are just 6 months, 2 weeks, 5 days away

Morning everyone!
Happy 1 year Booking Anniversary for most of us!!!!

OK... this will be my 2nd posting fer the day....

grarrl_count_fingers.gif

Congrats Tom! That's ALOT of postings:goodvibes

:)

Well Paula,

From what I can tell you're not too far off from my total... it's just a matter of your posting one fer every two I'm posted... < "wink" >

Good evening...

I was floored today (not by 3 tequillas...lightweights!Lol:rotfl2: )One of the kids that I have taught for 3 years said something that absolutely SHOCKED me! He is a kids who has had it a bit rough, behavioral issues due to home stuff and being held back in school (when really didn't need to be)....We seemed to clash alot when he was in my group....because of it(the issues)....but today he said I was his favourite teacher....and gave me a hug....

Hope everyone had a great day!

Chrissie

Makes your day seem worth while doesn't it? One of my students told me she loved me the other day. It just makes you feel so warm & fuzzy. I work with special needs kids and when they accomplish something its a big deal.

It's been something like 39-31 years since I was in elementary / middle school... however in the last dozen years I've gone back to my schools and visited with old teachers who I felt were special - who I can call "friend", and with one in particular I meet fer lunch a couple of times a year to get fully caught up with. I must say I can feel the neighborly warmth, satisfaction and happiness that arises from all of these visits.

I think it takes special people to be a teacher. I know I would have a hard time being with all the little darlings all day:goodvibes

reading-teacher.gif

I must confess Paula, I once visited a cousin fer lunch at her school where she taught 1st or 2nd graders - BEFORE I had kids of my own - and she got me to do a dramatic reading of a story to the kids gathered... and it was an intense experience to have all those kids intently listening to my reading of "The 3 Pigs and the wolf"... and from that moment I took ona new appreciation and respect for what my cousin and all teachers did with our youung kids.

OK... adios fer now folks... todays destined to be a busy, naybe mildly chaotic day

So, does everyone remember the frenzy that took place one year ago today......:rotfl:

Well, I got to sleep in 3 hours longer today than this day last year! As I recall, I was up at 0330 (my time) trying to get on this crazy adventure.
I also remember "working from home" that day to contribute to the several hundred pages we posted! Too bad we can't go back and skim through it - that was a fun day.

We were on the magic sailiing to Castaway Cay :cloud9: and just by chance had asked for a PC crossing quote and was quite surprised that after seeing the quote we found ourselves putting down the deposit. Happy 1 year Booking Anniversary for most of us!!!!

Oh, yes, I remember this day last year -- but luckily for me Jo did all the work and all I had to do was worry a bit as I read the boards off and on and realized what a crazy booking day it was becoming. Thanks again, Jo!

Happy 1 year anniversary of this cruise! (sort of, I guess . . . )

The 14th is just a date on the calendar on which everything costs 4 times as much as it should.

My DH's b-day is the 11th so we usually will celebrate that and it's much cheaper to go out....

(Did I mention that for the first time in seven years I don't have a conference in DC that week?)

Aren't ya coming to Fredneck soon?

Where do I go to see the Disney Dresses? They are beautiful! Unfortunately I do not have the upper half to support the Jasmine or the Ariel, but I would love to see the other dresses.

The site is Disneyformals.com. As for upper half....That's what undergarments were designed for.... A good push up can work wonders...

And if a push up doesn't help....well there's always Dr. Rey....

I was still online trying to select my cabin--the darn things kept disappearing! Finally gave up and booked it 8 GTY. Later that evening I called DCL and changed it to a 10GTY:goodvibes

Arlene,
PD & Prayers for your Mom. I would like to meet her - don't we want to be like her when we're 90!!!!!

Well if DH misbehaves, maybe she will come instead. JK. Have a safe trip. 7 hours. Wow and I thought the trip to Mom was bad.

My DH had to go on a business trip a few years ago and they left on the morning of the 14th of Feb. I was so angry because the only reason he had to fly out on the 14th is because it was cheaper. His boss got to wait unitl the 15th of course. I did get some nice roses out of the deal and we celevbrated a day early:lovestruc

The first year we were married, he flew down to the Bahamas for a Sales meeting and stayed at Paradise Island. What a disaster that was. He had to make up for it big time.

Funny, I read Pamela's post and I thought - Wow, the 14th must be their anniversary. V-Day is so not a thing for us. I think it is silly.

See swabbies, I'm quite the catch! Hate shopping, love football, and think V-day is silly.

Oh and I hate Mother's Day.

Come on M! What kind of wench are you:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That is probably one of the easiest bookings made that day:goodvibes

Aren't ya coming to Fredneck soon?

In theory I should be, but with the delay in the adoption of the federal budget, that has been pushed back to sometime between June and August.....

(and if it happens to be end of August... not me!)

Right now DC seems to be my only destination, another 2 day trip Mon/Tues next week and again mid-march for a week

That is probably one of the easiest bookings made that day:goodvibes

Mine wasn't bad either....

Knowing I would be in meetings and driving about 85% of the day (starting at 8 a.m. eastern), I had no choice but to let a TA do it for me.

Came home, had quote and said "that's it?" Couldn't refuse

The 14th is just a date on the calendar on which everything costs 4 times as much as it should. Since your DH (as all the fine swabbies on this board do) shows you how special you are and how much he loves you throughout the year, his absense on this day should only be in person, not spirit, and with or without flowers, you will feel special.

(Did I mention that for the first time in seven years I don't have a conference in DC that week?)

I knew there was a motive..:lmao:

Kristina, did you see the undergarment he is selling on QVC? I may need to consider it :lmao:

I remember last year as well. Big mistake was not booking on the website as I def didn't get tier 1 pricing with TA and could've gone cat higher for what I am currently paying. It was just so chaotic and I had to leave to get to work. I was just so glad I got a cabin I really didn't think much at the time.

Now off to pay some bills after I check to make sure my $ is there.......

I did not have trouble booking the cruise I was able to do 2 reservations within an hour of opening .. on line.. :goodvibes :goodvibes

I do not know if I was just lucky.. but got tier 1....:goodvibes

Oh and I hate Mother's Day.

We don't make a big deal of St. Valentine's day, either. I really worry more about getting things for the kids. We exchange cards, but that is about it. I think it's much more important/meaningful to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Dh is a retired Army Reservist (served 20 years) as of 2 years ago, but just about every year before then he was away on Mother's Day for some training. My kids always make a big deal over me on Mother's day, though. They "sneak" downstairs and bring me (in bed) the strangest collection of breakfast foods, homemade cards and gifts....and that is the best part of the day!

Hi everyone!

Hope everyone has a good day...I am having a busy one so hopefully all goes well!

Todd..I know I want to (I think I will be dragging Brendan along) for a dolphin excursion..we may be interested..not sure where we want to dolphin swim

Disney dresses...disneybridal.com has alot of them as well....my wedding dress is one of them and I found the price comprable to other wedding dresses. Not necesarily uped because it was a "disney" dress....

Have a great day everyone!

Chrissie
