On another site, I found a link to this Wikipedia map of Cabo -- it is pretty clear once you move around it where the cruise ships dock to tender in, and you can click on anything that is boxed in to see the name and more detail -- you can see Medano Beach, Cabo Wabo, etc.

That's good - I need some motivation. This is the last week of our very busy time of year. I have to make tons of programming changes for our clients for the new year. I am SOOOO ready to go back to my part time hours. Going from part time to 60 hours a week is always a shock on the system. I have been doing it for 17 years here but still takes a toll.

Anyone ever flew Air Tran before? I made reservations for our June WDW trip last Friday. Got the confirmation on Friday too and they still have not charged my credit card. I would prefer to pay it and get it over with. That is the great part of this time of year- more money to pay for play.

LG this reminded me of something......We have been playing Guitar Hero III and my DD was determined to get through "Slow Ride" before she would move on to another song. We must have heard that song 50 times, all ending with her getting boo'd off of the stage (on the game, that is). Well, she FINALLY made it through the song, and got the 'YOU ROCK!' message. She was so excited, too. Now she is onto "Hit me with your best shot". That game is so fun & addictive!

OK- Which one of of us admits to posting this on CC?:

I have a question about the Walmart and Sams. Do they take Walmart gift cards for payment or should we plan to get some pesos? Same with Sams and does Sams sell Alcohol?Is it cheaper than getting it in Calif? Also, how far from the dock are these? Is it walking distance with packages or is transportation needed? Sorry so many questions, but we will be docking there in August on our Panama Canal cruise and we were wondering about this.Many thanks for any help

cannot answer for sure about gift cards, but as far as alcohol is concerned both Sams and Walmart have a pretty good selection. However, because of the Mexican taxes, the prices are more than you would pay most places in the states and certainly more than the duty-free on a ship. The only good prices are on Tequilia and other booze products made in Mexico. Both Sams and Walmart are located right across the street from the Marina and within walking distance with packages. Its probably about the same as a 4 block walk (although you can almost throw a stone from the ships to Sams) because the only exit from the port is on a side street.

According to Julie's map we will come in right on this beach. We might rent jet skis and hang on the beach.
Also comforting comment on our zipline.

"In Cabo, there are plenty of places to rent right on Medano Beach (Cabo's main beach). Not sure about Puerto Vallarta, but I would use that port to experience a world class Canopy Tour (zipline through the tree tops). Los Veranos is probably the best."__________________

We fly Air Tran all the time. Have been able to get good prices for flights. They do tend to make flight changes. On our December trip to WDW the flight time was changed 4 times in 6 months. Usually it was only a few minutes, but the last time they moved the return time up 2 hours.

OK, I give up. For the first time ever, I am going to pay someone to do my taxes! I'll admit to being a bit of a control freak, but the whole rental property that wasn't a rental for half the year really has me (and the software) stymied. Great something else to add to my list of "to dos".

I would highly recommend getting your taxes done every year by a professional. 2 primary reasons:

1. If you ever get audited, they will be there with you and defending what they did to IRS
2. I have found (confirmed by my accountant) errors in one of the major tax softwares products, when I called this "speedy" tax company, they basically advised me to commit fraud to bypass the error (e.g. don't report something).

I e-mailed this morning and heard back from them tonight. We're in at 1 p.m. This is going to be FUN! Odd though - I thought we had to pay now. Is everyone's e-mail like this?

Airtran - flew many times, as good as anyone else. However, they usually charge my card before I have the confirmation e-mail. Keep checking and if its not charged in a day or so, call.

Any of the so Cal contingent have any experience with House of Blues Anaheim? I'm trying to get tickets to a show, but it won't let me. I don't get the usual Tickemaster no tickets available message. I just get something telling me to try again later. I keep trying but am still getting the same message. I'm going to call tomorrow if I still can't get anything online. If I do get tickets, looks like I'll be taking a trip down in Feb. Not sure if we'll hit the parks though since our passes are expired and I wasn't planning on getting new APs until March.

I can get tickets for the next day for a show in Vegas. Maybe I'll head there instead.

Yes, it looks to me as though we will be right at Medano Beach -- makes for an easy day!

Great review about Los Veranos -- I did lots of research before choosing them and seriously could not find anything other than great reviews from those who had done it.
