... I had to scroll back four pages before I found one thread with over 10,000 postings. It's near 5AM my time - I'm about to turn back in - and they have not restored our thread yet.

I can't believe i have over 20 pages to catch up on. Well with this crew I'm not surprised.

Today is our youngest daughters Birthday. Gabrielle is turning 9. She asked me to make pancakes and a penguin Birthday cake for her. Penguins are her passion. She wants to be a marine biologist and save endangered penguin species.

Have a good day. I'll try to post a pick of my penguin cake. Working today also.

I got back from DCL house party!!! The hosts were very gracious!! DCL did not give what was promised!!! I did receive a shopping bag from DCL, a POTC eye patch, recipes cards, a very nice goofy pirate hat,DVD of the cruise (the same one) and a couple of paper masks from Peter pan. There was no $50 certificate... only to the host which said it must be used on new booking. I will be doing a survey to give feedback.

Thought a lot of you were curious!! I got home late because I really had a nice time!!!

I'm glad you had a good time, Cheryl -- but it does seem DCL could give a little more in a goodie bag than that.

Well....

... at an assumed average of 309 postings a day we'd turn over the 10,000th posting (and thread) every 32 days, 8 hours and 41 minutes and 56.50 seconds. This does not account for shifts in daylight savings time, nor does it attempt to adjust for the expected surge in activity as we draw nearer to embarktion, or lull in the final few days right before embarkation.

Yes, I think there will be a lot more more postings as we get closer to time -- think of the burst around time to book excursions, for example. As long as there was a was to read the old threads, I wouldn't mind if we had to roll over to a new one every so often -- IF it helps the boards!

Good morning!

I was just looking at the "long" threads that are back in the Cruise Meets area and I am wondering if they are trying bringing them back based on size (smallest first). If they bring back all the threads up to a certain size (maybe 30,000?) and let things run for a while and see what happens and then try another milestone (maybe 50,000?) it may give them an idea what size the board can handle. Just a guess, but it kind of looks like that is what they are doing....

Ennio Marchetto is a world renowned and awarded comedian who has created his own theatrical language mixing mime, dance, music and quick change costumes made out of card-board and paper. In 18 years Ennio has performed in over 70 countries for more than a million people. His show has received numerous awards and international critical acclaim.

Ennio has over 300 characters in his repertoire, from international pop-stars to opera singers, from famous works of art to local celebrities of all nationalities. In each show there are around 50 characters, made out of up to 300 pieces of paper. These have to be put together for every show. Once all the pieces have been checked, they are put together upon a large prop table just off the stage. One misplaced costume means the whole show is at risk. No mistakes allowed! He's all alone on stage during the show. Nobody helps him backstage. He prefers it that way. He says that he can concentrate better.
