I've been busy and am sick again - but I check in here w/you all.

Apparently whatever I had on the post PC 5 day - the "cruise crud" that lasted soo long - well - I should have gone to the doctor -as now I've got severe bronchitis - I'm on antibiotics, 2 diff inhalers and codein cough med. Oh and I'm supposed to rest!!

BTW --- Congrats to Mike and Andy!!!!
And - Kristina good luck w/job search - we all wish you good luck & !! (and to Monica & Kim)

I sure miss you guys - the 2010 WB TA seems to have a fun group already - but its not you guys!!!

Hey...

.... just passing through... bought a new desktop to edit my HD Video footage - just set it up and tonight I picked up the editing software from Best Buy. Maybe tomorrw I may order new photo editing software (Lightroom v2) along with DVD tutorials. I'm gearing up to bump everything I do with video and still images to a new level. I decided against going with new MAC machines and software on accoun of the cost and suggestion by many that I could accomplish everything deisred at a fraction of the cost on a PC platform. I figure I spent near 1/4 of what a similar MAC set up with software would cost. I wonder whether this will prove true or just end up a waste of time and $$? In the end - if nothing less - I now have a powerful decktop which will ALMOST run the most powerful PC games at moderate frame and resolution rates. Or at least so after I upgrade the video card. Eventually I hope to set up dual monitors ... probably only 22" sized as those are a lot cheaper than twin 24" (or larger). Or who knows... maybe I'll go with twin 24s AFTER I upgrade the V-cards. For now I'm using an only 19" LCD screen though.

At any rate, we're about to depart for our Princess Sapphire cruise this weekend - and now I'll get to do the Zip line I skipped on our REPO, and Julianna will get her swim with the Dolphins that we skipped on account of alternate plans made with the families gathered in our group in AP.

As for everything else... things are good... the kids are scoring goals in Soccer... and ... and ... and... oh yeah... we booked 5 cabins for the July Magic sailing for the Northern port rotation. We do have some potential instability in following through with these plans though. There are a number of shifting issues in our group (not us as we remain flexible in following the consensus)... and as such we might actually switch to another cruise line OR we might even switch to cruising another region then Northern Europe. Given the potential instability of the July Disney plans we temporarily had a backup reservation for the April Repo - which was the 1st choice for Alicia and I... in the end however, we decided it was best to just hold ONE reservation to travel in Europe. It's tough though to plan anything under these shifting circumstances with folks favoring conflicting factors for 2010. I have not taken the time to skim back to see whos doing what sailing... and so forth... but it suffices we decided the September REPO was not going to work for us. And as I recall - that was the most popular. Sigh... guess we'll miss most of ya who are on that sailing.

Alicia and I are likely to sail Disney in 2009 - it's just we are not certain which one it wil be this time. Most likely we'll do something semi-spontaneously again when Alicia and the kids get restless.

Oh well... time to scoot for now... I gotta burn some DVDs for the girl scout troop - and friends before we shift into high gear to cruise this weekend...

I don't think there is any way you could get me or dh on a zip line! LOL! I have a couple of kids that would do it -- NOT 17dd or 10ds! LOL! They would have a panic attack and die before ever getting their feet off the ground! LOL!

The worst part was the wire rope bridge that you had to walk to get to the platform. ALL the parents hated that part. The zipline itself wasn't that bad (not that high up).

My little itty bitty zipline was only 40 feet in the air. My DD was a little disappointed that I didn't come off exhilarated, just relieved that it was over
As for the tarantula..maybe on my arm...for a few seconds at most

At any rate, we're about to depart for our Princess Sapphire cruise this weekend - and now I'll get to do the Zip line I skipped on our REPO, and Julianna will get her swim with the Dolphins that we skipped on account of alternate plans made with the families gathered in our group in AP.

DD finally got me to go on a mini-zipline on a school field trip

I would love to hear how you like the Princess cruise as we will probable look to other cruiselines in the future as well.

Glad things are going well with your family. DH was saying he saw you everywhere on the Repo and that you appeared to be having a lot of fun with your family

I have not been keeping up with the boards...how did things go with the preschool you were trying to save

Gee.... August 15th through the 22nd? That weekend is unscheduled so far - however, the 22nd is close to the beginning of the school year for our kids. Not that that would actually STOP us from attending. < chuckles >

We sure miss everyone too... you folks in particular. It's somber ya know... with everyone we've been chatting and chuckling with this past TWO years or so leading up to the EBPCREPO ... than the cruise itself and now... and now it's mildly quiet and everyone has spread out onto different cruises. It's sort of like we were college friends and we all graduated - and everyone has sort of scatterred while a few penny clusters have kept in touch. KWIM?

Sigh... at any rate ... I've been busy ... and I was OFF the thread a week or so due to a posting infraction. Yeah... I was slapped. And ya know what? I don't even know what I posted that was wrong? I thought I was fairly careful to be considerate these past couple of years - with ONLY that bump and blocking off the chat forum - and o yeah - the Union Jack G-strings which I failed to note were ... ahem ... edible. Well... in any event ... even though I know not what I did (precisely) I imagine it must have been a reasonable mistake ... IE ... I must have made a mistake somehow and I do NOT want to ever do anything that would offend anyone. So I just try to be decent and MORE considerate about what I post ... as an image or in what I write.

Gee... you're sooooo FUNNY... with the "EXTREME FEAR" remark... it's hilarious! OK... So... in spite of your thinly vieled warning remarks .... ("Extreme Fear") ...I am dead set on ZIPPING... as is Julianna.... and we've yet to begin packing. I am torn between packing a seperate suitcase with JUST my Star Wars Anakin costume ... and Alicias' skin tight Padame costume... or just go the compact simple route with my Jafar costume and the simple stuff.

As for the mini-zip line... I've actually given semi-serious consideration to building a mini-zipline in my back yard. We have a hillside where I was going to personally build a cabanna/Man-cave and part time play house at its' foot/base... remember? Well... my plans are all drawn up and these next few months may very well see me breaking ground. I've got a couple of expensive windows for in stored in my garage ... and I've got that expensive table saw in the garage ready to start on it. As such... the mini-zip line was going to be a part of my plans in the back yard... however ... my most extreme FEAR is of the litigation risk a private zip line might pose.

So... things are OK for the family. We've all sort of settled back into the routine - and we've had some frankly busy weeks recently... last weekend we had a "rejuvination spa stay" at the Huntington Beach Hyatt which we won as part of a silent auction package benefiting cancer research. It was rather nice as we had a huge suite with maybe about 1000' of space and a couple of nice professional massages. And since Huntington Beach is a hop skip and jump from Disneyland - we spent some time there too using the Hyatt as a base of operations.

Aside from that ... it's been busy in a nice way. And I'll be sure to share my opinions and findings when I return from the Princess Sapphire voyage. OK... I gotta wander off for a bit now... I have a new desktop computer to play with ... and I have to get my kdis settled for the evening as they should be in bed in approximately 6 minutes. FAT chance I'll get them to sleep that quick.

Cheers! We're still feeling as if we're on vacation ... (in part because we're .. ahem .... embarking on a Princess cruise this saturday back to Mexico)... and yeah... it sure is a nice feeling to still feel like you're STILL on vacation!

So - as for my in-laws .... they're all on Maui now with the new baby... and Sam is dealing with some sharp aches and pains that cropped up recently - but he's working on dealing with it - in his way - and in conjunction with western medical treatment. So - things could be better you might say.

On another point - I just got a new desktop computer that supposedly is powerful enough to run the video editing software I need to edit and compile HD Video footage. Today I picked up the software .... for FREE .... after twin rebates that covered everything but the sales tax! So I'm mildy pleased with the frugal outcome on that front (the desktop computer is indeed powerful - and it IS cheap too as a refurb GATEWAY from Tiger.com). So that is gonna tie up a lot of my time in the days and weeks to come AFTER we return from our cruise.

So how are things on your end? I trust all is well and pleasant. Please convey our warmest, cheerful regards to your family!

Hey K! We're definitely going to do Hawaii too, but not sure exactly when yet. I was thinking more like 2014 for my 50th birthday & our 25th wedding anniversary, but if everyone else was going sooner....I may be able to persuade DH!

Good luck with the job hunt! I'm looking too & doesn't look promising!
