8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #15 /Life After the PC

I'm glad for you! If I can't go on another vacation, glad that someone else can.

I put in my vacation request for Dec 22 & 23 and Jan 2, so looks like I'll get another 2 weeks off this year!

Thanks...although the thought of packing another suitcase makes me a little sick to my stomach at the moment

Where are you going on your vacation?

Okay so I have booked the Disneyland Hotel for the nights of 12th ,13th and 14th , So Saturday the 14th we will make the Date for the DIS meet , now we always go to Disneyland in March to celebrate our Birthdays , and I think Stace does too , so we hope that all that can will join us for the Pirates Reunion and also could be Future Cruisers meet as by then I am sure we will all probably be booked on other cruises after Oct 7th , Speaking of which

It does look like DCL is going to the Baltic so our plan is that we will do the last Baltic cruise and then do the Repo back to Port Canaveral , I am hoping that on the Repo that stops will include Ireland , England and France .. If they do we are so doing back 2 back ....I hope that many of you will be on one of these 2 cruises as I enjoyed many of your guy's company and look forward to seeing you all again ......

So , What say You !!!!

TAKE WHAT YOU CAN !!!!!

GIVE NOTHING BACK

Trevoy has already asked for a transatlantic, so we're in for that one. I also considered back to back, all depends on cost, school, job etc. Will probably book and decide later.

Why not start a thread? We had this one going before it was officially announced.

April is my birthday too and I'm usually there some time in March or April, so count us in.

Thanks...although the thought of packing another suitcase makes me a little sick to my stomach at the moment

Where are you going on your vacation?

Work shuts down from the 24th through the 1st. So I get 2 full weeks by taking 3 vacation days. Thinking about taking a train to Chicago the week after Christmas. Not sure yet about that.

Whew! Okay, I may not be totally unpacked yet, but I just finished uploading all my pictures! Well, maybe only 99% of my pics - I left out a few that were horribly fuzzy (or incriminating). :rolleyes1

I have to say now that I'm really sorry I didn't try harder to keep up with the thread and post more before the cruise. Or at least come to chat every once in awhile. This was the most endearing and entertaining group of people and there wasn't enough time in 15 days to meet you all. The small percentage of you that I did meet were wonderful and I hope to see you all again someday on our reunion cruise! :woohoo:

If I had a job, I would be so tempted to take this offer. Heck, even without a job, I'm tempted.

12 night Med cruise on NCL, balcony stateroom, with free air from select cities, $1999.

Monica - I can TOTALLY relate. I shouldn't even be thinking about a reunion cruise at this point because I'm supposed to be job hunting as well. Granted, I left my job willingly (jumping for joy, I might add) to take a little time off before the TOAL, but the bank account is dwindling fast and I don't want to come back from Neverland. I keep clapping for Tinkerbell to come, but it hasn't worked yet. And since I've finished procrastinating with the pictures I have no choice but to start the search. Yuck, growing up is not fun.

Oh wait, wasn't I adopted by 2 different families on this trip? Deb... Roger... Was that just for fun or do either of you have an extra bedroom? :rotfl:

Although something tells me even if I was to move to a new family I still wouldn't have a stateroom host and 24 hour room service. Rats. On to Monster.com next... :headache:

In all seriousness (if that's possible), I was apprehensive about going on such a long trip "by myself" (because I intended to find a roommate 18 months ago) but this group of Pirates truly made this a TOAL that I will never forget. Thanks for everything!! :cloud9:

We have an extra room but unfortunately our room steward is on permanent leave. :rotfl2: I might even have a job for you if you make it out this way. The girls really enjoyed having a big sister for 2 weeks. Good luck with the job hunt :thumbsup2

By the way..on the last day or so of our cruise..someone put 2 compressed washclothes in her FE...thank you to whomever that was..she was thrilled! (She also loved the POC one that she rec'd earlier in the cruise - thank you for that one as well)

We dropped the POC one in there for her....she's very welcome. And please tell her congratulations on the Blue Ribbon!!!

Thank you..when she got it..she was telling me how she didn't have a POC one (as tho I didn't know!) She now has 76 in her collection..

Celestine also brought her one of a guard at Buckingham Palace. DD wondered how all these people know she liked compressed washclothes...:rotfl2:

I wish I had had a video when she saw her ribbon...one of the times I was sorry I didn't have one with me...we were walking into the exhibit and DH and I could see the blue ribbon...we could tell when DD saw it as she started running towards the exhibit screaming..not sure what the people around us must have thought..I thought DD was going to kiss the glass covering the exhibit.

Fellow Pirates, I haven't yet posted since we returned from this magical TOAL. I know that I don't post often and I know that I was fortunate to only meet a handful of you while onboard, but I wanted to thank all those who helped contribute to my families enjoyment of this cruise. This is the first time we have ever participated in the FE gifts, and my kids loved checking to see what goodies were waiting each time we returned to our room! I have also really enjoyed looking at everyone's photos on the photo-sharing website. Thanks so much for sharing!

Now, I hate to be a downer, but if anyone could spare some good thoughts and prayers for us, it would be greatly appreciated. We are planning to evacuate within the hour from Hurricane Ike. We live in SE Houston, and right now things are looking pretty grim for us. I'm not taking any chances, and I don't want my kids to have to experience this hurricane up close so we're planning to head out to either San Antonio or Dallas. The evacuation scares me almost as much as the hurricane. We evacuated to San Antonio three years ago from Rita, and a normally 5 hour drive took us 16 hours, many of those without the a/c in the car running due to the possibility of running out of gas and being stranded on the side of the road (which did happen to many people). Anyways, I hate to bring my worries to the board, but it helps a little to talk about it. I've been trying to be brave for my kids, but it hasn't been real easy. My DS is 10 and my DD is 8 and they're old enough to understand that when we leave, we don't know if we'll have a house to come home to. :sad1:

Think good thoughts for us!
Kim

Much love for you and your family Kim! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Thank you Deanna. At least she portrays that when she is away from home :rolleyes1 I have to say that Drew and Kylie are two the sweetest kids that I have ever met. If anyone was going to date Madison, Drew would be the only one that I would allow to and live. I hope I did not scare him too much when he dined with Madison that night. I heard that Tom was giving Madison grief about their "date" :lovestruc

Cherie wants everyone to be our neighbors :grouphug: I hope that we can still be friends after this weekends football game. :lmao:

I would love to your neighbor!!!!!!!!! Cherie is so crafty .........she could teach me so much. I am still impressed with your FE extenders.:cool1: :cool1:

Oops! At least one of those would be me. I still have not convinced Bill to drop everything and download all the pictures. I will work on that next.
Bill has had a few pressing isues waiting for him when we got back.
He is Pres of our HOA. We have a High School right across our street from our subdivision. Since they are doing construction, the kid are parking in our neighborhood. Since we are a fenced neighborhood, they are jumping the 8 foot fence to get to the street and school. The neighbors are getting all upset and one of the cars has a shot gun in their back seat. This is Texas after all and it is not concealed so legal but for Pete's sake! WTH would a HS student need a shotgun in the back of a Firebird for God's sake? Idiots! :sad2:

I can't wait to see the carpet angels!!!:woohoo: Post on the thread...I can't wait to see it.:cool1:

Miss you too Cheryl!

I sometimes laugh out loud when I think of the fun times we all shared. I keep seeing you whip your hairpiece off.....Oh man, you are hysterical!!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh yes......I will know as the poodle lady forever.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hey! You're that young lady who was travelling alone! We met you!!!

How many pictures did you end up taking on the cruise?

This is Texas after all and it is not concealed so legal but for Pete's sake! WTH would a HS student need a shotgun in the back of a Firebird for God's sake? Idiots! :sad2:

Now I wouldn't think twice if it was on a gun rack in the pickup window! ;)
