My wife loved the "don't go up and down stairs" direction. Baby stuff and bedrooms upstairs, food downstairs.....

And our kids were 10 lbs plus each at birth, so does that mean my wife had a greater threshold for what she could lift?

I lucked out on the stairs part - we live in FL ranch houses at the time.
I guess they couldn't really tell her: don't lift anything heavier than 7/10 of your baby...

Just to answer a question that was asked before.

What's the strangest thing you packed for the TOAL?

We'll,

rugby balls
wig
hair extentions
spirit gum
spirit gum remover
touch judge flags
IRB Guide to Experimental Law Variations (new rugby laws take effect 8/1/08)
leather strapping
embroidery needles
colonial men's shoes
colonial women's shoes
ostrich feathers
authentic 1850's oxen buckle (costume piece)
asian straw hat
stop watch
18th century corset (not mine)

Well, so, are we using the new rules or the old rules?? Because yanno, I've been studying.
:)

I've had the 20 month old at home post c-section twice now - not fun! That time the older kids were 5 and 7. They stayed with my parents and the baby and I spent aaaallllll day in the hospital every day.

It's kind of a long story, but his surgery needed to happen asap and the baby was due. I went for an amnio to see how early they could deliver the baby and my surgery was moved up a week to that I would have time to recover before it was his turn.

Two weeks to the day of my c-section I drove him to the hospital with baby in tow. He was preped for surgery and the Dr. examined him and determined that he was so infected he would need to be admitted and the surgery would have to wait. So we spent a week in the hospital (I was back and forth), home for a week and back to the hospital for the surgery.

The scariest part was knowing his colon might perferate and not be able to be saved (which is not as scary as if he had somthing life-threatening). Diverticulitis - don't mess with it!

When times are tough, I look back on those days and say "I can do anything!"

Amazing what we can go through when we have to, huh?
I bet most things have felt easy since then.

I spent a week post-c sitting around a hospital, but babyDS was in the NICU, so we at least got to stay at the Ronald McDonald House down the street.

Just saying hello and see how all you are doing? Find out today if I win the dress on ebay for my DD6, cross your fingers.
I hope that you all have a great day.

Take care,

Isn't that the truth. :( I never thought that I would be able to sit and hold DS's arms across his chest while he was sitting in my lap at 10 days old while a nurse held his head still and another held his feet to keep him from pushing up on my legs while the doctor did a scope on him to see if he had any polops in his trachea. He was born with tracheamalasia. That was an out of body experience for me. I couldn't get upset until after I had put him in his crib for a nap after the proceedure because I had to keep him calm.

anyone know the walking distance around the ship?

also does the gym have a variety of weights?

Chrissie

I thought I read somewhere that it was either a 1/4 or a 1/3 of a mile?

We better start talking more or we will be on thread 13 when we leave!!!!:scared1:  :scared1:

We could always skip 13 and go straight to thread #14. My niece married a Chinese fellow a couple of weeks ago. At the reception there could be no tables numbered 4 (I think) and 13 on the seating plan.

GOsh - this makes absolutely no sense to me - I'm going to have to bribe Des to lunch so she fills me in on all the details. Not tomorrow though, dd 15 gets her moles removed tomorrow and looks like she may to go in for emergency wisdome teeth removal. Lovely, looks like its raining again. SIGH! Oh well, when it rains, it pours! :rotfl:

Oh dear....didn't know about that one......(Sat morning Toy Story)

Sorry, didn't mean to be secretive, not a meet per say, but we're making a mad dash to Toy Story Midway Madness that morning. Will try to beat the larger crowd by using the Grand CA back entrance to DCA.

Oh my gosh! It is amazing where you can find strength...

Give Nothing Back!

Exactly, we will try our best to play by the rules. Paul will have his hands full. I packed a loud whistle.

The new rugby laws take effect on August 1, 2008, but they are rugby 15's (15 a side) we will be playing with the 7 a side rules.

I'm leaving it up to Paul.

It's my wifes corset for her costume.

I wouldn't have traded places with you.... I keep saying 4 healthy babies - thank God! We just get what we can take, don't we? I hope our toughest days are behind us...

Yeah, spinal tap on my three day old. Good times.

And yes, I am refering to my diva. He's really been a drama king since birth! There was actually nothing wrong with him....he just looked like he had some sort of seizure disorder.

Darn if anyone is interested . There is a Woot off today on Woot.com. Guess I will miss all the excitement of being tied to the computer waiting to see the next item.:lmao:

Bye

Darn, I'm on the slow computer today. No way I'll get a BOC if it comes up. Besides, too much going on, I can't stayed tied to the PC.

They're more like guidelines anyway.

3 times around deck 4 is a mile (or slightly over)

I walked through the gym once, couldn't tell you what's there though
