Ok just for fun,

What is the strangest thing you are packing?

For me it is a potty for my just-3 year old. :sad2: Any steps backwards in this potty training nightmare just won't do so I am bringing the trusty/familiar potty/step stool combination for him. After all, when he's not happy, no one is happy! :)

It's probably the toilet paper....because if I'M not happy, no one is happy!;)

I can see you having to explain that to TSA in the airport: "Well Sir, after the noose, I'll don the wings, pixie dust the plane... Of course it will work, the Disney Magic flies every week on pixie dust.... Yes, I've witnessed it, everyone sheds a tear and it's just...well, it's just magical!"

Who asked about a tripod? DH had ours out last night figuring out how to attach his camera...probably for the PC day. It is a full sized one so if someone still needs it, we will probably have it onboard. I will post if he changes his mind. LOL!

DH packed a small suitcase with a bottle of Moet for our anniversary on the 22nd and a couple bottles of wine. He put styrofoam peanuts on the bottom of the bag and then wrapped each bottle in bubble wrap. When we arrive in LA we will take that small rolling suitcase and carry it onto the ship

Thanks!

Chrissie, that is great news about your kitty. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
Glad to hear your cat is doing better!
Great news Chrissie!
Sorry Chrisssie. I hope cat is doing much better today!!!:goodvibes

Thanks everyone..he is 17 but he is my baby! The only way you can see he is sick is the weightloss...and it is strange because he eats all the time!

I TOLD you guys I'd be the last to get documents.:sad2:
The UPS guy took them to my office, but they had one of the other Mom's name on them....so I don't know who's dumber, the UPS guy, DCL for sending them that way, or my employees who told the UPS guy to take them to Sharon's house.
Sharon wasn't home.....she was having lunch with me!!!

So the UPS guy took them back to wherever they come from in Tempe, AZ.
Online it said something about trying to verify a correct name or address.
I called UPS and set them straight and supposedly they'll be back out on the truck tomorrow.
I guess I'll warn my employees.
:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Hey Stacey still no sign of our docs! You won't be the last!

Just got news that my cat is holding his own even though he has lost alot of weight (has kidney issues) We thought when we took him to the vet we would get bad news but his levels are all up from where they were..so that is great!

Chrissie

Chrissie,
Our cat was very ill last October with kidney issues. She couldn't even stand up. Looking back I realize now what the symptoms were, but just thought she was getting old. She is 14. Anyway, after a few very expensive days in the kitty ER, she got to come home and has been great ever since. We have to give her meds 2x a day and she is on a special kidney diet food, but is doing very well now. We also got her a water fountain and she loves to sit there and stare at the bubbles as well as drink a lot more water than she used to. I hope your cat gets better soon!

anyone know the walking distance around the ship?

also does the gym have a variety of weights?

Chrissie

I thought we could start the day for those interested with breakfast in Parrot Cay @ 8 am-9:15. There are 100 of us, so I was going to ask them for an area there.

So meet time 9:15am Parrot Cay.

When we leave the ship, Mr Emerald will meet us outside the fenced area. There will be 2 signs Paula Bader #3 and Paula Bader #5 for the groups.

M, will be including this info in the navigator.

Carry on and have a great day

Yeah we do the meds too! I was thinking of getting a bubbler for him..mainly because i know the water will be there for him and my other cat is constantly moving the water bowl and tipping it over!

He has had the kidney issues for about 2 years now..and his cell counts are getting better! The Dr's were very surprised....he also has an ear infection so the poor thing is so off balanced!

But he is doing good..and doesn't make too much of a fuss when its time for his meds!

I am glad to hear your kitty is doing well!
I hate to hear about any animal being sick...

So what's the plan? When do we meet? :lmao:

(thanks for doing this!-did my payment go thru?)

The promenade deck (4?) is a third of a mile. No idea about the weights - never been to the gym!

Thanks...not sure if I will make it to the gym ..but I know I really would like to get some walking in...on sea days!

Wow can you just pack the seat that goes on the potty? We're packing 117 diapers. That's more than is in 1 of those huge boxes. Actually, I'm wondering what kind they sell onboard. I know DL had Huggies and WDW had Pampers last year... We also have to take 2 cases (24 8.5oz cans per case) of liquid formula. Actually the formula is going to be shipped to the hotel. I don't know what else weird we're packing yet!

So maybe the problem will be solved before we go :confused3

We decided to bring our bug netting with us after seeing your report so that we can put it over DDs crib if it gets bad. If the 18mo old is unhappy, we all are! :lmao:

Hmm maybe that's the weirdest thing we're bringing!

I considered bringing only the seat for on top of the toilet, but he'll need a step stool as well then, so if I just bring the combo seat/stepstool it will take care of both needs and he'll be familiar with it.

I'll be packing diapers too for my 17mo old... Try not to buy them onboard - too expensive. If she's in Flounders, keep in mind they go through a lot of diapers there as they change them very frequently.

Let's face it, no matter what your age - it's all about the colon and all things related!

On Saturday, we are celebrating 3 years since my husband's colon surgery which was 4 weeks after my 3rd C-section. Believe me, we know about this stuff (or should I say s***?)!

A vacuum camera mount - basically a big suction pad to mount a camera with so I can shoot a timelapse sequence going through the locks.

Andy

I can't wait to see your pics!!!

Chrissie

1/3 mile as mentioned before.
Lots of different weights in the gym. The nautilus-type machines are adjustable and there are various hand weights on rocks.

Oh yikes! So who drove and carried the kids around??
I swear it was about 2 months before I could comfortably ride in a car after each c-section. Ya just feel every little bump after abdominal surgery.

I loved the "don't pick up anything heavier than the baby" speech. That lasted about 3 days - I also had a 21 month old!
