Anyway, you all remember that conversation about misbehaving kids? Yeah, well, I got those today. It was so bad that even after the Head Server talked to them, another table yelled at them, we told them to please be quiet, they didn't listen. The final straw came and yours truly stomped off to Palo's to "inform" the parents they might want to come down and watch their kids or see what they had done - you know what I got? A blank stare and a - why is it important to you (in regards to my question of if they were the parents of the kids on table 8?) ???

Yes folks, they were THAT bad that one of use was elected to go and speak with the parents. I will DIS Friday on my blog don't feel it necessary to write the details just yet on a SLLLOOOOOWWWWW machine, but suffice it to say that one table walked out right after main course (and after they had food thrown at them) and don't even get me started on the broken chinaware! :scared1:

:scared1: :scared1:

Oh man, if someone had to come up to Palo to tell me my kids were behaving badly in the dining room, you better believe I would high tail it down to the DR and drag my kids right out of there! That is terrible that the parents let it go!

We are scheduled for Palo the same night as the other adults at our table. We were discussing it the other night and informed dd she will go the the lab with her friends that night. Ds wanted to know what he will do. We told him he can hang with friends in OQ. He asks "What if I want to go to the dining room alone?" We told him "You'll be the only man with a glass!"

So, if you see him there by himself.....please make sure he's behaving himself! :rotfl:

I found sparkly silver flip flops at Target for my dd to wear with her formal dresses. She really didn't want to wear her dressy shoes, and I really didn't want to have to pack them. The fancy flip flops will do.
Thank you so much that will be a great idea for my DD6. Its hard getting her in a dress but I just hope that she wears her formal. I think that she will, just cross your fingers.
I will check out target this weekend.

Take care,
Dawn

Just wanted to say Good Morning. It's Finally FRIDAY and hope that your day goes well. Hope everyone gets their Cruise Docs Soon....

Have a great day....and weekend....

How do you know where the muster stations are?

Chrissie

I've stayed in room 6634 before. On deck 2 we were in 2616 and that also was in Animators so the division line for muster stations in Animators is around the aft elevators.

MUSTER STATION?

Does anyone know the Muster Station for 6632?

I am sooooo hoping that I will not have to bake outside again. All but one of my Disney cruises my muster station has been outside.

Is there an official map of cabins/muster stations somewhere?

He can come sit with us, Madison will keep him entertained :flower3:

Ahhh..I didn't know if it was listed somewhere,....

Thanks

Thank you! I'll keep them! :rotfl:

Lisa, can you live up to the hype? ;)

Thanks! I'll hold off -- it is really important to me to have 8pm seating! LOL!

Good thing Cheryl isn't catching up. If she knew you guys may be able to get that info............................... I won't include this in her catchup.:lmao:

Laura, that is ridiculous! They threw food and broke the dishes! I'd say they deserve to be in Mickey jail for the rest of the cruise!

Enjoy your sea day:goodvibes

I for one am curious to see if they show up in the dining room tonight and if the kids and the parents of the well behaved children apologize to anyone or if they are so unconcerned. Can you imagine all the surrounding tables confronting them together???? Can't wait for Lauras next posting.

Today I am going to try to finish up with my FE gifts. At least that is the plan. Then later we are trying all the clothes on to figure out what is going and what needs alterations etc.

Hmmm.... Broken Engines.... Norovirus... Demon Kids.... Sounds like definitely a "memorable" cruise....

At least I don't expect we'll have to worry about demon kids - at least not in the group sittings.

However, I will offer the following suggestion to help resolve the issue should it happen again. Gather a large number of people who are annoyed by the demon kids, peacefully gather in a circle around the table of demon kids, and sing an endless round of Kumbaya. Keep doing so until the demon kids are so annoyed that they banish themselves from the dining room - they will not be able to stand the positive vibes.

Then insist that the parents or guest services cover the laundry service for clothing messed up by the food they threw at you.

(an no, I'm actually not kidding. While anger is a natural response, the bizarre and unexpected is much more likely to freak out the other party into a desirable outcome).

If this doesn't work, then perhaps you can arrange for an Exorcism?

That sounds like good advice to me! I am just shocked by what happened. I read it to my kids and told them that if I hear anything about them acting like this it will be the last time they even think about it. Both of them had wide opened eyes when I read the post to them. :scared1: Of course I also reminded them that Todd and his SM will be there the night we are in Palo to keep an eye on them even if they choose to sit at at their own kid's table with the other 2 kids with us that night as we plan for the other nights.

That would be interesting! I would bring the popcorn!

I've been to Wall Drug! It was quite a place and some day I will have to take my family there!;)

I believe the new Cheetah Girls movie is coming out during out cruise. They should show it onboard....:confused3

In the DR...if my children did that they would be sent to their cabin for quite awhile, then we would go find out what they could do to "pay" for the broken dishes. I just can't believe that their parents didn't go right down. I would have been livid! ( I know my DD wouldn't do this and my DS shouldn't but he does sometimes get caught up in the moment). I think even this is beyond what he would do. My DD will probably come to the DR the night we go to Palo, but DS will probably eat with the clubs. Please feel free to say something to my kids if you see them misbehaving. I always threaten DS that if he misbehaves they will ask us to leave the ship and he will be paying for a long time for our "new" way home. It has always worked in the past.:)

Congrats to everyone who received their travel docs, our should be coming today. This trip is coming up quick!

Hopefully my back up TA will call when they come in and I can go pick them up. My office is only a few minutes from the AAA location. Unfortunately I have a project that is due out today so I may not get out of here in time to pick them up. Darn spreadsheeps. So it may be Monday after all, since they are closed on Saturdays.

If your docs took the tour, they were given bats:lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl: :rotfl:
Little mini bats, so they will be easier for the docs to handle!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

I love "kid speak" stories!

When ds was little, he used to love to eat at Burber King. Sounded more like a carpet warehouse! :goodvibes

I can see the TV ads now! Loud obnoxious guy in a foam crown yelling about the low low prices at Burber King!

HOLY CARP!!!! If my kid EVER did anything like that he would be DEAD! And I would be THANKFUL that someone took the time to come and find me to tell me what the heck was going on!

DH and I may have knocked Laura down in Palo in our rush to get to the dining room to "correct" our boys.

Bac 'N Sync

:lmao: :lmao::lmao:
Exactly!

Does he still drink from a wine glass?

If they want to go, we plan to send our monkeys to the dining room on our Palo night. I am confident they will behave. Last cruise they were 5 & 7 & our server suggested sending them to dinner (even offered to walk them back to the club after dinner), but we thought they were too young then. This time I think they can handle it. We may send a bottle of sparkling grape juice to the table.

GOSH IT'S REALLY HERE NOT MUCH LONGER...YAH...:dance3:

HOLY CARP!!!! If my kid EVER did anything like that he would be DEAD! And I would be THANKFUL that someone took the time to come and find me to tell me what the heck was going on!

I would have run down to the dining room and not cared how much of a sceen that I made yelling at my kids and made them clean up every speck that they made a mess of. It couldn't be any worse than what they had already treated the other diners to. They would have then been marched around to each of the tables in the area and appologized to them, and I would have sent a note to the table who had left along with a gift that would have been deducted from their cruise funds.

How do you know where the muster stations are?

Chrissie

The aft staterooms all report to and inside station. :) It is in some of the trip reports and has been posted some on the cruise forum.

I suppose it is beyond reasonable to expect someone from DCL to contact the parents about their kids' actions? :sad2:

There is no messing around with you!

I have to say I have to :cheer2: those of you who answered with pro active ways of dealing with a situation..I deal with so many parents that will be proactive and then those who ignore or give excuses! The latter obviously doesn't help the kid(s)!
