Oh no!!!!!! Poor Laura. Hope they get it working and it doesn't cut her vacation time.

So in our packing this weekend, DH pulled out his Speedos. Yes plural. Once upon a time (HS & college) he was a swimmer. Smart add put three Speedos in his packing pile. I looked at him like . He said he was bringing extra in case any of the swabbies want to borrow one.

Altogether now - EEEEEEWWWWWWWW!
On oh so many levels.

Anyone ever tell you he has a great sense of humor!

I finally caught up! LOL!

DH had arranged for some of my family to be here this afternoon for a b-day party for me -- I would have waited until next weekend when our other 2 children could have been here! LOL!

He also gave me my b-day gift early.... I got a GPS!!!

I had been wanting one for quite some time but, dh thought the windows were too small. This one is a little over 5" wide. It was a surprise since I thought my new bike was my Mother's Day & B-day gift! LOL!

I know this week is the start of many B-days here on the board... So HAPPY BIRTHDAY late July peeps!!!

I was just thinking that we have a TON of birthdays starting now!

I was going to write them all down when we were discussing them a few threads ago, but I didn't.

When is your birthday?

Mine is on Saturday!!!!

My anniversary is on Wed. too, fun week for me!

The date was only a suggestion - in fact the idea of a Wenches' Lunch is only a suggestion!!!!

I think it would be amazing to have the whole Parrot Cay dining room become a Wenches' Lunch venue!!

Thank you so much!!! I had given up entering codes there because all of them seemed to be expired or didn't apply. This is at Avis BTW. I was able to book a minivan for $58!!!! Now I don't have to worry about cramming all of our luggage into a little car & DH getting upset. The regular rate is $114 at Avis or up to $141 elsewhere. BTW, when I confirmed the reservation it showed up as a total of $114. I called to find out why and the person said that in order to confirm with that coupon code I had to use my CC...which was fine with me. She modified the reservation to show the change.

Geez..i am such an airhead..I can't believe I didn't put down Avis!! DOH!!!!
Wow, I got the same rate..but didn't have that issue when I reserved the car. But we also got the mini van..with 4 of us and all that luggage..we need it!!

There's a Hard Rock at every port except Aruba. I believe the one at Cartagena is close to the Navy Museum. As the DCL excursion goes there, I'm hoping there's time to stop by. We like to get a pin from each one, but may not get one at Acapulco. If anyone plans to go there at Acapulco, please let me know

I bought a big suit case yesterday. It dwarfs my other luggage! So between the new one and the other 3 big (no so big) ones I think we will be set!

Crash, I have to ask if you are in CA. I can't help but notice how everyone in the pictures at the playground has jackets on. People who have been to CA in the summer tell me that it will be different than here in NC in August but I never imagined anyone needing even a light jacket during the day in July.

Our PTA does this too. But, conveniently, they also actually deliver the supplies to the classes so they are waiting there for the kids on the first day of school. I have found that the price is sometimes higher than if I just bought everything myself, but since I don't have to run around (to multiple stores, sometimes) and then have the kids cart everything with them on the first day, it's worth it!

That is the way we do it too. I write a check and school supplies magically end up on their desk 1st day of school (or in this case 5th day of school).

The Cabo Recommendations:

I am planning on just a pair of longer shorts instead of my capris.

I just felt better buying shorts specifically for hiking as the fabric is quick drying and has better seams, pockets etc.
The PV Zipline specifically said "Closed toed shoes" recommended. Since this one and also Cartegena recomended "closed toed shoes" I bought Keen's for all of us. They are waterproof and closed toed with a sturdy sole. I wore them instead of my Crocs at WDW last month and they were great.
