Yes..we are driving..this actually will be our 3rd trip..well..5th technically...the first 2 were round trip. We are coming home on the 40...the first time took the 10 (wow...that's a lot of Texas) Thank you for the offer..I appreciate it!

We have driven I-20 right near our house for 12 hours (Interstate only) and still been in TX..... I don't think people realize how big TX is unless they have to drive through it! LOL!

I pierced my ear 3 days ago for Pirate Night.

It's still sore!

Not really sure I have the body type anymore to be leaping like in the old days--used to be 2nd row/lock. Maybe a little tall for a prop but I also don't see my big behind getting far off the ground anymore on a throw in. Oh, the memories. . .

I just got back down to my high school playing weight (210lbs - tight head), but somewhere along the way, my knees and back forgot what had happened in the intervening 30 yrs lol.

Looks like they are doing the private dining assignments now. I was able to snag an 8pm on Wednesday (Puerto Vallarta). The timing couldn't be better, as that is the only day we're on an excursion that comes back late (5:45) and this gives us time to rest and clean up.

They had an 8pm on Friday (Acapulco) available as well.

Our ceremony has been moved to 4:00 p.m.!!!

Now I feel better...as the photographer is doing the extra pictures after the ceremony. We don't have to eat in the buffet!

What kind of long sleeve shirt and/or jacket is everyone bringing? I know air conditioning can be cool inside but I am not sure if I really need a jacket. Thoughts?

I'm bringing wraps like others said. And maybe a light windbreaker/jacket for the nights on the Pacific. It does get a little cold on this side of things.

Congrats to all who got their room assignments today! We've made it out of the lifeboats too - 7006 for us! If I'm looking at the deck maps right, we're aft starboard side - is that a good thing? Someone mentioned that connecting rooms can be louder because of the door between? Is this true? If so....I apologize now to whoever is in 7004. Honeymooners next door..... (ooops...family board!)

Oh and your posts about rugby reminded me- what size jersey did I put Jeff down for? If it was XL....... um, do you have them already? that might be a bit big. I don't know how they run -but if they are like the t-**** for this cruise- he'll need a L because it was plenty big! LOL He's in his thinner phase right now anyway (yes he goes back and forth and yet I'm jealous how fast he can drop 20+ pounds practically the minute he wants to. ugh)

They don't want you filling them direct (or refilling the cups they give) to cut down on germs, they would want you to use a paper cup and pour into refillable mug.

I ain't got no stinking germs!
But seriously...... how would we get germs on it? I'm living in the age of refillable drinks at fast food restaurants and no one seems to be worried about germs there! I'm not worried about any dis'ers germs. Are people putting their cups clean up to where the soda comes out? I'm confused.
(ps. the mugs we have we drink out of the LID- the lid is huge and fat- my lips never touch the cup part like what's left when you take off the lid)

I think also people don't understand when I say like a store to get something is in another town- they don't realize that's usually about a 30-45min (or further) drive each way to get to that next town! We can be a bit spread out here in Texas, huh! LOL

I was brave enough to lay out some clothes to see what I have vs need. I am not doing as bad as I expected. The formal night is still an issue as my dress can be zipped - but I can't breathe or sit down.
THIS IS A JOKE AND NOT MEANT TO BE SERIOUS (LET'S SEE IF THAT WORKED) but.... If I did get food poisoning or a touch of salmonella I would at least drop a few lbs. The sickest I have ever been is when I got food poisoning bit I did lose a lot of weight.

I bring my infamous Minnie Mouse Zip-sweatshirt!! I even wear it with my formals. I also bring a shawl but I am always cold and make John go get my sweatshirt jacket.

I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. I know that I faxed them on 1/31/07 soon after we booked the room. There is still a chance that you could get reservations and be seated together in the regular area. Go to the resie location ASAP with everyone's information. Remember...Marco will be there and he is the Prince of Palo, isn't he. If anyone can make it work...he can.

Also, the good new is that you are the next on the list when/if anyone cancels...which could still happen.
