... clearing their decks for the EB repo cruise. Little did they know that as they were working, a small glowing figure had flitted into the room. It was the upgrade fairy! Searching for cruisers who by fortune and happenstance would be granted the privlege of cruising beyond their station.

Buzzing back and forth, she spied the folio for danfromca. Finally a worthy cause! Pulling her wings back, she shot forward and

SPLAT!!!!!​

"Did someone leave the screen door open again?" shouted one of the gnomes as he brushed away the bug remanents. "These mosquitos are annoying. Remember to close the door!"

He turned back to the folio, quickly pulled up the next available category 11 and stamped it. "Next" he muttered under his breath....


Ok, an upgrade would have been nice, but 6599 is a nicer location than I expected, and is midships which is nice, so no complaints (especially since I did, after all, get lucky with a Palos slot earlier today).

There is NO WAAAAYYYY I am even going to attempt to Ketch up!

I am getting SOOOO excited !!!!

Been trying to make chat, but keep missing it.

All my boys went to the movies tonight so I have some peace and quiet. Some time to do what I WANT!

I just won a cute 3 piece set of Delsey Luggage today at work......YAY (after we bought new luggage and are beyond the return period of course)


So which of you experts can save me some time researching this on my own (and I apologize if it has been asked and answered a zillion times already)

We are flying Delta out to CA
And American home from FLA

both were booked well in advance of all these new baggage fees?

Can we still carry on 2 bags pp no charge?
And what can I check ??????
Am I grandfathered under 2 for free ???
1 for free or am I going to pay $25 bucks for each checked bag????? I'm so confused ????

I'm going to try calling the airlines and see what they say

Also -----bus to port.........who am I paying and how???? Wendy said Chris was handling and would be sending emails.....but that was a few weeks ago.....

Sorry so long, but havent been around and am now starting to go into vacation anxiety mode

Congrats on getting an assignment and in place that you are happy with. We were hoping the upgrade fairy might visit us too but we're just happy to be on the boat and in a great spot.

Just heard from Disney Weddings....

Our ceremony has been moved to 4:00 p.m.!!!

Now I feel better...as the photographer is doing the extra pictures after the ceremony. We don't have to eat in the buffet!

What day is the blessed event taking place?

So 5 hours later and I'm still waiting for the phone call to actually schedule the interview for tomorrow.

The person I spoke with acted as if it were a certainty that an interview would be scheduled. But now I'm wondering if the hiring manager had a different opinion.

Hang in there....I thought the place I was going to start working at decided NOT to hire me (haven't heard from them in 3 weeks!) but they called to day and all is good....

Don't give up!!!

I spoke with Delta several weeks ago and they are grandfathering in everyone who purchased tickets prior to the annoucenment - 2 checked, 1 carry-on and 1 personal bag. I have heard from some coworkers who have flown recently that they are cracking down on carry-on's being within the size regulations.

is 6030 starboard or port side?
And WHICH side is the side that they take the pictures?

I thought I read that the photographers go out in smaller boats. They may not be able to take photos on one side while IN the locks, but there is a lot of time through the canal that is not locks and I would think they would be out there then getting photos. Since at some point during a lock a bunch of the ship is behind the wall, that doesn't seem like a great location to get ALL the photos anyway...

I hate to throw cold water on a happy day - but I heard from Inventory Control -
There were 8 openings for brunch in the private dining room and our requests were # 9 & 10!!! So - close but nothing for us.

I'm so sorry everyone. Apparently some requests were placed as early as Feb. 2007!!

I know it isn't as good as the private dining room, but for those who still want to try and do a brunch with DISers, there is the Pirate Brunch on Sunday the 24th. For this event we are all getting our own reservations and then I will take the list to Palo and ask if they can seat us all in the same general area. This is NOT a wench's only event, but maybe some of those who were hoping for the wench's brunch can put together little groups of 2,3,or 4 and join the run for Palo ressies when we board?

For the Pirates who plan to try and book when we board, I will post a sign-up list on my cabin door (6076) where you can add your name if you get a ressie. I'll take that list to Palo the next day to see about getting us all seated together. Don't worry about which time slot - just get a ressie for the 24th! Palo Brunch has usually taken 1.5 to 2 hours for DH & I to finish in the past, so we will all have plenty of time to socialize.

This is the list I have right now of those who actually have a ressie and want to join the Pirate Brunch group:

No problem.... no need for sorry. I figured that might be what you were replying to. Although at first I thought it was just the set price but duh, ofcourse they have different prices for different airports. I should have thought of that!

The starboard side is supposed to be the side where the people of Panama will wave when we go thru...wether the photogs are on both sides for pictures is the debate.

As for visiting..there is a list of people who have donated their verandahs on PC day to visit to see those sides. There is of course always on deck to view as well.

I was brave enough to lay out some clothes to see what I have vs need. I am not doing as bad as I expected. The formal night is still an issue as my dress can be zipped - but I can't breathe or sit down.
THIS IS A JOKE AND NOT MEANT TO BE SERIOUS (LET'S SEE IF THAT WORKED) but.... If I did get food poisoning or a touch of salmonella I would at least drop a few lbs. The sickest I have ever been is when I got food poisoning idea: bit I did lose a lot of weight.

What kind of long sleeve shirt and/or jacket is everyone bringing? I know air conditioning can be cool inside but I am not sure if I really need a jacket. Thoughts?

Last time we brought long sleeved stuff and never used it! Kept hearing how the dining rooms were chilly but none of us were cold and we really thought we would be- considering we're used to HOT. DH can handle cold (born yankee that he is LOL) but we usually think it's cold just when it's in the 50/60's outside! But yet we never needed any coverups/etc. -we never found the dining rooms to be cool. So we won't be bringing anything longsleeved this time.

I'm not terribly happy about it.

I had requested more mid-ship and port side of the ship.

Instead I'm very close to the back and on the starboard side.

Which means, more than likely, I get to watch a lot of water go by on my veranda instead of a lot of land as we sail south around Mexico.

Oh well . . . at least I finally know where I am going to be.

Now I can finalize my registration by filling in my room number.

You're just a few doors down from us in 6616 & this will be the third time having that room. I love this location obviously since it is quiet, a quick run up to topsiders, and best of all you should be able to see the fireworks from your verandah on pirate night...unless you want to be in the middle of the party. Yes we will definitely have an ocean view, but we do get to see the viewing platfrom etc. on PC Day & we usually have a nice view of the beach at CC & the Flying Dutchman.

Well, then I guess you'll miss Cheryl, Diane & Laura dancing on the tables in Rockin' D.

Oh the horror!

I may miss the personal experience, but I am SURE that I will hear about it the next day -- either by word of mouth or by veranda confessions.

I got this information directly from DCL when they raised the recommended amounts last month.
