NORTHERN CALIFORNIA!! You can't fool us!!

< chuckles>

So hello everyone!

I've been sort of busy with all manner of errand since returning from the Sequoia/Kern River camping thing last weekend.

Sadly, I've had time to only read a dozen or so pages of this entire thread! I hope to return to do some olympic CATCHING UP some time tonite. Who knows.. anyone wanna bet against me reading the entire 2700+ postings BEFORE it gets closed (thus complicating any replies or commmentary I'd like to engage in?)???

Last nite I had time - but the internet connection went down for 16 hours! I ended up checking and rechecking - then patiently waiting as I assumed Time Warner had an outage. THEN I called in to complain - where-upon they issued me a 3 day refund for the 16 hour outage. THEN they transferred me to tier 2 tech support - whereupon I found an unplugged cable on my end! Ooops. I politely thanked them for the support and started catching up on my web work. And only NOW am I taking a moment to glance at the DIS. Amazing... in the past week or so - or since we started this thread I've only been on the DIS about an hour or probably less.

At any rate - we're hooking up with old friends tonite for supper and to go attend the near by Moorpark Fireworks tonite. Tomorrow we hit the Regan Library for the community celebrations there (and possibly FREE Magic Mountain PASSES!). Then we're hosting a swim pot luck at our pool (open to any DIS neighbors willing to drive over and hang out) ... and then at 5 we're gonna hit Bucca de beppo to use a $10 coupon we got in the email. Followed by fireworks from the commmunity "hot spot" on top of the parking structure of the Jans Mall. They limit attendance to the 1st 2,500 who get the special "wrist band". They'll have live music, a DJ and various fun booths and diversions up there.

Then on Saturday we're hitting Leo Carrillo State beach (above)/camp ground to hang with some old friends. A mixture ranging from elementary school to pre-school for our kids. There should be 7-10 families there - and I'm only half organizing it. At any rate, we hope to set up my easy up canopy - picnic and have a pleasant day of tide pool exploring as depicted below:

So... I hope to squeeze in some CATCH UP sometime this weekend. Maybe.....

They aren't used to DCL. Most OTHER cruise lines always stay on ships' time.
I promise you that we moved our clocks ahead and were on port time.

Thanks! :thumbsup2 This is consistent with the Navigator from the WB Repo (see link http://www.rgpweb.com/WB_5-21.pdf). It tells everyone to set their clocks back one hour the night after PV (PV sits right on the border of Central and Mountain).

BTW, it also mentions that the Drink of the Day at PV was Pirate's Treasure. What that?

Definately! And if you have one, don't hang them out on a line on your verandah (I remember someone, MR?, posting a picture of a neighbor doing just that on a port day).

Nope...that was me.....so watch your back.....:lmao:

So where did "Look, a peanut" come from? Also, what about "I'm innocent"?

I'M INNOCENT

Don't ask. It was YELLOW.

So where did "Look, a peanut" come from? Also, what about "I'm innocent"?

"Look, a peanut" comes from POTC 3 when Jack is down in Davy Jones' locker.

I'm innocent started after an impromptu chat on a Saturday night and we were being overrun with VMK kids. We sent out a call to some mods and webmasters. When they came in they checked the chat history and started booting some of us out because of some comments that were made:rolleyes1. One of the people who didn't get booted was MR and she had some of the worst comments - after that she was always protesting her innocence and then it just caught on.

Don't be too surprised when I put my napkin under my chin like a bib!!! ;)
That'll look cute with the formal:cutie:

I appreciate a girl who knows when to admit defeat. I just know... I will be a size 8 again in no time soon.
Actually the worst possible thing happened to me yesterday. We are driving from my Mom and Dads (10 mins away) and there it was on the left- :sad2: a CINNABON!!!!! Lord help me now!!!! I used to have to go 30-40 m ins away to find one- now there's one in my backyard!
I was tearing apart the Orlando airport last week trying to find the Cinnabon. It is on the map but after exhaustive searching- it ain't there. Turns out they took it out to0remodel and it did not come back in.
The only good thing is the location of this Cinnabon might be tough to make it a go.
I have clothes in my closet from a size 8 to a size 14:sad2:
I keep hoping to fit in the 8s too:rolleyes:
My Dsis did it a few years ago:confused3

Well after dinner tonight I'll have to buy a truck load!:rotfl2: We went out to eat and I ended up with a little BBQ sauce on my shirt and then the next thing I know I was wearing dessert! Of course it would of helped if dd would of kept the plate in the middle of the table! :lmao:
Yeah, I got salsa on me tonight at Baja Fresh:headache: The kids were fine of course, just me:rolleyes:

You're right about it not being a vacation if your washing clothes. I like it at WDW because I can throw a load or two in and go out and sit at the pool and relax and really doesn't seem like I'm doing laundry. I have a feeling that on board I'm either going to have to stay in the laundry room or time it so that I get there before the load is done.
I had heard that there were problems with people being aggressive with the laundry room. Taking out other people's clothes from the washer or dryer before they were done with their cycles:mad: I'm planning on staying in the room with a book until my laundry is done. (Since I've been waking up at 3 am lately that may be my laundry time on the ship:rolleyes1 )
