He did tell me today that he's going to tell me before we leave where we're going. We'll see. I can only keep my fingers crossed that it's sooner than later. ;)

Somewhere in the back of my warped mind, this little voice keeps saying "Wouldn't it be funny if she was wrong?"

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I said it was warped.....

Question...since we have not actually had a successful trip to Castaway Cay...to mail postcards from there..do we use US stamps or do we have to purchase stamps there? DD wants to mail some postcards to friends back home and I want to make sure I have what we need..

Thanks!

We will be there on a Sunday, Post Office will be closed????

Hey, were you on the August 26, 2006 Western that became an Eastern? We were at WDW before that cruise and had no idea there was a hurricane until we checked in at the port. Hopefully we'll be hurricane-free this time.

Hey, we were on that one too! :wave2:

Was it Celestine that was on it too?

So then this is like a reunion cruise for a bunch of people that didn't meet before?

What excursions did everyone do on the August 2006 cruise?

What do I think??? I think that sounds like the Adventurer's Club.....  Meet in one place, move to the next. <sigh> Sorry... I'm still in shock. :headache:

Seriously - sounds like a good plan and I've added it to my itinerary.

No catchin' up for me today. Hope everyone survived their Monday!

Jennifer

On the AC issue, wasn't one of the rumors that they would be adding something similar at the new Night Kingdom when it opens?

Hmmm...so I'm reading all this thinking we could do the reverse & head to NYC for the day! I'm glad you had fun.

You could definitely do it. The train was was very easy and relaxing, and just as Union Station was very close to where we wanted to go in DC, Penn Station is very central and close to things you would want to do in NYC (and the subway is right there as well).

My first, how did you know?

So many comments...so few points to spare...

I know, I keep writing responses and then deleting them . . . I'd hate to lose contact with you guys so close to the cruise!:lmao:

Oh! You'll be making the rounds during dinner? We're not Catholic, but very ecumenicical - does it still work? Are you in Captains or Crews Dining? :rotfl:

Main Dining.

That much I know.

I just don't know my room number . . . yet. :confused3

I was just reading a report from someone who went on the Mex Riviera cruise June 22-29, and this was very interesting (I hope we see things like this!):

SEA LIFE SEEN FROM SHIP: If you're patient, you might see some sea life from the ship. On our first day at sea, as we went down the Baja peninsula, there was a bonanza of sightings. There were whales, a large pod of dolphins, an school of enormous squid, and many flying fish. Flying fish look like enormous dragonflies emerging from under the forward end of the ship. Then they sail just above the water for as much as 50 yards before plopping themselves back in the water. Your kids will love them because they're quite bizarre. There are also large sea birds, like pelicans and frigate birds (which have a dark v-shaped tail). It seemed like the area around the tip of Baja had the most to see, so keep an eye out.

I apologize ahead of time for this question. I've been gone more than I have been here the past several weeks, so the question has probably been asked and I missed the answer.

I'm trying to get my cash ready for tips (I like to pay in cash since I heard that if you put it on their account, it oftentimes takes something close to an act of God to get their money from DCL). From the people who took the WB Repo Cruise, what was the recommendation for tipping? I really would like to get my thank you cards and cash ready so that when I board, everything is all set.

If you have any idea of the tip schedule, kindly let me know here or in PM. Many thanks!

I heard the whales were seen May and prob June. so we will most likely miss them but the flying fish are neat. We saw them in Barbados on our HM and they served them on the menu as well.

Cruel...very very cruel! :) But since I saw the cruise docs that were lying out in his room, I know that we're going! I just have to get it out of him though. He did threaten to cancel everything and change our plans just so I wouldn't know. But I don't think he can get our $$ back at this point. Thank the Lord! :)

I don't know the breakdown for who gets what, but the suggested amount for the 15 night cruise is $180 per person.

ETA : I see Julie has more info!

I could have done without that last bit of information! :rotfl2:
