8/15/09-Eastern-Tortola Treasure Seekers #5

HI All,

We have decided to rent a car in Tortola, since there are 7 of us it seemed the best way to get around without paying the high cab fares...my question is has anyone done this and if so how did it work out?

Our plan is to try and make the 8:00 ferry to JVD and if not try and find someone who can take us over..if that doesn't happen then we will hit some of the beaches on Tortola.

Go to www.staples.com and log in under your teacher rewards card.....Then you will get free shipping....make sure to put your reservation number on the order form and your name list it as Gues Name!!!!!!Call me if you need help. The kids are with my parents all day today......

We are doing FE gifts even though we missed the official cut off date - last time the kids loved going around and dropping the presents in the pouches so much - I couldn't tell them I missed the date!

Just wanted to mention that so people didn't wonder.

We have extra FE gifts too so we'll make sure you get one. Since I was a late edition to FE, I did a couple extra in case. I figured if I didn't use them for FE, I'd give them to someone we met on the ship.

We would like a mickey ear magnet set. I'm working on our magnets this week.

So, how did you like the play? We were originally suppose to go on sunday (7/26) but it was cancelled. Our schedule was pretty full, so we were lucky to reschedule for Thursday evening. It was a late night for the kids (yes, they came with us to the show), and we all enjoyed it.

I'll deliver ears to your door.

Loved the play. Theater was a good temperature. We were about 10 rows back and loved the whole thing. Sons loved it too...especially DS15. We thought the first half was better with the second...but loved it.

Costco will also deliver a case of water for free, I think it's $7

We fly one week from today - but today it weels like we are leaving because ALL OF OUR STUFF IS LEAVING - woo hoo!

Today is shipping today -- so once all the boxes are gone, I will feel more relaxed and excited for the trip.

For the FE gifts, we are doing a first night gift and my sister has a pirate night gift.

One week from tonight we will be cruising the Lake on the Grand One watching the fireworks - aaahhhhhhhhh.



Can't wait to meet everybody on board!

That is so great that you are packed and shipping everything! Bet it feels like it is really time to go!

We leave on Thursday morning and I still have a few things to throw in before I close the suitcases for good.

HELP! Just need to calm down.

How important is the cruise documentation that I've been waiting for? I hope not very because it sounds like I'm not going to get any!

DCL sent docs to TA by FEDEX to the CLOSED STORE! FEDEX which has instructions to forward packages to one of the other stores sent docs back to DCL instead. DCL has since "lost"/"destroyed" the returned docs so can't send them to my TA or my home.

DCL says that since I've already checked in on-line I don't need any of docs and I don't need luggage tags. I should just get generic tags at the port.

While all this might be true, psychologically I need/want/desire my docs and tags, especially since I wanted something from some official channel with my "newly assigned (on 1/11/08!)" cabin number of 5632.

Sorry - just needed to vent my frustration!
