Nice sound, :thumbsup2

Update on mne, still on the other side of the room and empty, maybe the luggage fairy works nights when its dark, to fill them up.:surfweb:

Suitcases are out of the closet, we are planning on checking 1 and then having 3 carryons - The large on is partially filled and the one I will use has started...My family has made fun of me for years about packing early...although funny when its their time to pack they need my help.

Had a bit of excitment here last night, my husband woke me up around 3:30am to help him get the bat that was flying around the downstairs...he ended up getting it as it was sitting on the tomatoes I just picked that day from our garden - well I have decided that there is no way I could eat them now so in the garbage they went...

Well off to print my address and destination information for our luggage..This time I am being proactive and taking pictures of the stuff I am putting in our suitcases. That way if they get lost I have a record of what was in them.

Though I am not packed I had to laugh. I made everyone a list and then have "Mom's Master List" - NO ONE is allowed to touch it. My DD - 12 was laughing at me for having the list but when she was pulling her clothes she made a comment that wow there was a lot of stuff and it was a good thing we had this. :rotfl2::cool1::rotfl2:

Hi Everyone,
I should have asked this weeks ago!!!!

My mother is going to arrange Disney transport to MCO from the port. She'll arrange this while she is on the cruise.

It didn't occur to me to see if any of y'all were arranging your own shuttle service, and if so, did you have extra room for one passenger with luggage(she'll pay her share of fare, of course!).

And...just to put me at ease...can anyone here confirm we can make her transport arrangements while on the ship? I am pretty sure we did that last time! (My FIL is picking her up at MCO, so she just needs the ride back).:thumbsup2

TIA!:flower3:

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to pop in for a final "bye - and see you on the 15th!". We leave tomorrow and plan to drive as far as Lumberton NC. That's just 12 hours - definitely do-able. Seven more hours the next day to Daytona Beach, then a few days just hanging out on the beach. We'll be at the Pop on Monday. (looking forward to meeting up with Jen at the Poly pool!!) :woohoo:
I thought I was organized but didn't make lists of what is in each suitcase. Gulp. But we're not flying so there's that.
We have NO WHERE NEAR the number of magnets that Anna and others are bringing. OMG. But the ones we have are cute. (including one for our mini van that says 'Disney or Bust!').
Heather, Kevin isn't doing the teen boat ride in St Thomas because we have a family excursion planned. But hopefully they will meet up to hang out on the ship or maybe at CC.
The kids opened up the suitcases while I was gone on military leave to "add a few things...":scared1: I'm heading up to the "suitcase room" right now to see what shape it is in.
We didn't order any water for our hotel room. Sean and Kevin will have camelbacks to take through the parks - we pack them with ice and as they melt, they have ice cold water almost all day long. It works out pretty good. If you see a skinny blond 14 year old accompanied by a 6'5" (not so skinny) bald guy with camelbacks in the Parks, please say hi!!!
Hope everyone has a great - and safe - trip down to Florida!
See you soon!!!

Good evening everyone and just in time the £ gets to $1.70!!!!

I see suitcases in front of me, empty,:sad2: but out of storage.:3dglasses

Now if you look and stare at them do they fill themselves up?:rolleyes1

I bought my currency when it hit 1.63.5 but I am happy with that - considering at one point in the last few months I was contemplating what to do as it dropped down near 1.30 then I am happy with what I got :)

You will be so proud of me....I totally resisted the urge to make any more today. I did a nice self talk with myself this morning - just to reassure myself that I had enough already!!! :rotfl:

Well done Jen, hope you all have a safe journey. So looking forward to meeting you either in the terminal or onboard :)

Kristin, sorry to hear that Hopie has an ear problem, but glad you got it early and can treat it - ear ache is one of the most miserable things so fingers crossed that the medicine kicks in soon and she is feeling much better by the time you leave.

I have had an afternoon shopping, buying the last few bits and pieces I was missing for our packing.

I was having a major dilemna about formal night - I had seen a dress i really liked but it was quite expensive. I had some money put aside to get a new dress from doing some extra teaching but I wanted to have another think to be sure i really wanted the dress. Anyway, we were missing one of our suitcases and I ended up looking in the back of my Mums walk in closet in case it was there - it wasn't, but hanging in the back was a gorgeous long blue beaded dress I had years ago. Having dieted and lost around 27lbs I thought I would try it on. It fits AND it suits me better now than it did back when I was 18! It was a vintage style dress then so not particularly dated and I am happy with it...

sooooooooooooo I can spend the dress money on the other thing i wanted to get before the trip - some fabulous professional GHD universal voltage hair straighteners which bizarrely for straighteners, do a great job of curling my hair too! I will pick them up when I take Izzy to the salon tomorrow for her hair cut!

Right, time i was in bed. Night,
Mel

Nicole was my concierge person on my Eastern Magic cruise 2 weeks ago (July 18th), and I’d love to get a personal thank you note to her for something she did for me after I left the ship.

Is there someone on this cruise that will be staying in a cat 1-3 room that would be willing to have me PM a thank you note to them to printout and give to Nicole for me on your cruise?

I know this would mean going out of your way if she is not your concierge person but it would really mean the world to me.

If you could help me out, would you mind PM’ing me?

Many thanks in advance!!

Mel - that is terrific about the dress. Good for you.

Jen-Glad you were able to resist the urge to "magnetify" today.

Mel-Congrats on your 27 lb weight loss!! I was only able to knock down 9 lbs, but it's still better than no loss (or a gain :scared1:)

Kristen-Hope your daughter is feeling better soon.

Safe travels to all...we still have a few days left here. We'll be in the Magic Kingdom on Monday, family of 4 possibly wearing Mickey tie-dye shirts (the heads look more like hearts than Mickey, may have to try to touch up with a bleach pen).

Anyone remember that commercial a few years back where the little boy was "too excited to sleep" and then the dad goes back to sleep and he was too excited to sleep too? That must be me, I've been getting very little sleep these days.

Yep! Don't know how much I will actually go online once I get there though. I usually bring my laptop just for photos and the occasional check to my e-mail account. Once I am at Disney...I like to ignore the laptop!

However, this time I have to check my e-mail EVERY day (in case of a job). Plus, I am going to try to write a trip report so I will want to type up some notes each day.

Can't wait to meet up with you!
