:goodvibes:goodvibes I keep adding / canceling things every day ... :confused3 Marco always says WE ARE BRINGING TOO MUCH STUFF !!!

Which pets do you have ? Are they "used" to live ... :goodvibes away from home ?

laura

We have an English Springer setter and an Tabby cat
Both have been boarded 3 times while were away. They get lots of attention while they are there so it hasn;t been a problem in the past, except on my wallet :rotfl:

Good Evening Everyone,

YEA! :cool1: I have finally started some of the pre trip setup...

I finished Elin's Bus Cards with all of her email & other information on it..and I finished our door magnets. First time doing the door magnets and it took alot longer then I thought it would. I am obviously printing challenged.

I also have an English Springer, and I made our boarding resev. yesterday...she actually loves being boarded since she gets so much attention. We used to have someone come to the house several times a day to let her out, but she would get mad at us and do things that she normally wouldn't do...

As for packing, I used to have the clothes & things layed out at least a couple of months ahead much to my husbands dismay...now I am pretty much over that. We will probably start packing about a week ahead, we have learned to pack very light. I also have a large dresser that I call my vacation dresser and it has all of the stuff we usually take with us.

I hope everyone has a great evening...:flower3:
Denise

UK is very very hot, blue Sky's, no rain till Friday when we get thunder storms,

Its called 'The Wimbledon effect' it usually rains if Wimbledon is on, but they spent millions on a new roof to still play if it rains therefore it will not rain this year!!

PS

GO ON ANDY MURRAY

This is so true, DH and I were just having the conversation the other day about the expense of the roof for centre court and how it was bound to be beautiful weather for the whole of Wimbledon fortnight!

Jen, well done on keeping the website going and full of interesting info. I asked on a threa don the main cruise board about the terrain on the CC5K and they said it was pretty much all flat BUT very little shade also.

The thread is HERE

Although as per Andrews post the weather here is very good for the UK I am really a little bit worried about how I will do running in the heat of the Bahamas, I am going to keep training here and I WILL without doubt do the run, but whether it will be a run or a slow jog or even have some walking in the middle I don't know - perhaps I will have to acclimatise by jogging at Old Key West pre cruise!

Hey Mel!

Thanks for the thread about the terrain...I am thrilled to hear there are no big hills because the one I am running up is horrible!!!

I am going to have to find out how long it is taking others to run/jog/walk the 5K to know if my time is what the rest of you are going to be doing. Maybe we can find out how fast Jude runs 5K and set that as the goal???

Tomorrow should be another hot one so I will be running early again! Watch for tomorrows update on the web site!!!:rotfl:

Yeah, Jen,

I am off to work out myself this morning. Finished the 30-day challenge on the Wii AE Active!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on finishing the challenge. I think I'm on Day 17. I figure I'll do another one to keep on track until the cruise.

No packing starting here yet. I thought I was an organized individual but reading about you guys starting to pack 8 weeks in advance I'm obviously not in the same league. I do have a bag going of items I've picked up so far, but nothing I need in my day to day life. I did buy 2 bathing suits yesterday on my last full day with no kids home for the summer which I'm excited about. I came up with an idea for the FE for kids, just have to order them. I have a short list of items to pick up for the cruise (dress shoes and khaki pants for Daniel) and I'm still looking for some cool wicking shirts for me. I'm going to make tie dye Mickey shirts for us and I picked up black t-shirts and rhinestone pirate iron ons for the girls and a POC iron on decal for Jim. We're leaving the costumes at home this year I think (the kids may want to bring them anyway).

It is STILL raining here and cool. We're hoping by the weekend for some sun, it's our town's carnival and fireworks. One more day of school and it's official summer vacation for us :woohoo:

Hey Gina,

CONGRATS, on being on day 17......I will tell you the last six or so workouts were killer..........

But I started my second 30-day Challenge today.........I will let you know how the work-outs are..........

I am sore today that is for sure.....LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh No, they're going to get worse than this :scared1:

It started adding the squat holds for 45 seconds-what a killer!
The side jumps and lunge jumps are bothering my knees a bit (plus she tells me I'm not going to see results if I don't put 100% effort into it). I wonder if there is a way to tell it to avoid certain moves. My kids and husband get a kick out of me doing it because I'm talking back to it. I guess I take it a little too seriously.

We had an awards ceremony at DS school today. I'm proud to say he earned both the Presidential Award for Fitness and the Govenor's challenge. This is his first year making Presidential. My DD has earned it each year so I think he had something to prove to her. He also received a citizenship award in his class. I'm a proud mama today.:lovestruc

CONGRATS to your kids....How exciting. You must be soo proud.

I talk back to it to.. It is funny, my kids laugh at me too. The squats that you have to hold move up to a FULL-minute this morning my legs were burning.......You can always skip an exercise....I really do not like the volleyball. I have to say I am not sure I see any difference when I look at myself but it must be doing something to me since I am sore all of the time...No pain no gain...?? RIGHT??!!

:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

;) Still thinking of / "working" on that FE thing !!!

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

I've got two questions :

 Kristen / Jen : WHEN are you sending out the final FE list ?
I'm asking because we leave house early ( 4.00 AM :scared1: !!!) on August 2nd !!
Because of time difference between US / Italy ... :confused3 I'm afraid that the list will be sent out ... :scared: when we already are on the road !!!! :confused3
Our last full day at home ( where we have Internet access ) will be August 1st ... when we'll go to bed/ switch Internet off , it will be early afternoon in US !!

Another ( silly ? ) thought :
I've seen on the thread about FE that some people give ... DVD with music and such ...
Hence I dare to dream / pray for a FE "surprise" we would adore to get :
the Disney (free) :) VACATION PLANNING KIT :)

where you have DVD - CD-ROM to see all resorts / parks and /or anything you need to know about DCL / ports of call etc. ( I see there is a kit for WDW and a kit for DCL ).

I dare to ask for it because (living in Italy ) Disney does not send us :confused3 any stuff !! We asked many times - but no way !!! Maybe someone living in US could make my dream come true ??
I do not want to be rude - I mean I will be more than happy with every FE surprise I'll get ... It's just that I soooo would love to get :rotfl2: ONCE in a lifetime :rotfl: that VACATION PLANNING KIT !!!!!!!!

TIA !!! PLEASE , don't think I'm being unpolite ... no pressure at all !!
Just a dream I shared with friends !!!

Okay, I lost the great instructions that were sent to me telling me how to respond to multiple posts so there will be a few from me this morning before I head off to class! :goodvibes

We are recruiting the 9yo across the street to babysit Kevin's hedgehog, Slush. I never even thought about boarding him - not sure they have a boarding place for hedgehogs! :lmao:

OMG, don't look to me to be the energizer bunny. Heat and humidity knock the stuffing out of me on a run. On a nice cool day, I run about about an 8:40 mile. We took our Army PT test last week and I was the LAST one from the class to finish (2 min mile, in perfect 60 degree conditions on a very very flat track 17 min). No speed demon here (one of the guys finished it in 13:20 - I couldn't have done that in high school let alone 25 years later! LoL). In heat and humidity - kick my time up to at least 10:00. I mean it. And if Tess runs with me we'll be at a 12min mile. I'll stay with her the whole time. I am not doing this for time - only doing it so that I can eat one more dessert on the cruise without feeling guilty!!!

Since I am at Ft Dix I can't do the Wii. Ran 6 mi this morning but it isn't hot or muggy yet....

Congrats Gina!! What a great accomplishment - of course you should be proud!!!
Time to whine a little. Because I am here at Dix I will miss Kevin's 8th grade moving up ceremonies tomorrow night. :sad1:

Laura, never knew that Disney does not send that kind of stuff to international cruisers. I am sure that ...one....of us will make sure the pixie dust fairy visits your cabin.....:rolleyes1

okay, gotta run to class right now (groan). Have a great day everyone!!

We are still debating about what to do about the pirate gear. I like your t-shirt idea and think we might have to do something like that this year. pirate:

I am going to have to see what this new Wii "game" looks like!!! I have the Wii Fit and I talked back to that one...I also did not like my trainer at all...and I really hated my Mii who aways looked so depressed with my efforts!:rotfl: Good for you to stick with it!!!

Good Morning (Afternoon) Laura!!!!

The list is not going to change EXCEPT I am waiting on a couple of people who have not been assigned a stateroom number yet. I will be sure to send it out in time for all of us who are leaving early. I have the file typed up to send out once I know the last bits of information about rooms AND I also made a map where I marked all the rooms for everyone that I will scan and send as well. Thankfully there are only a few of us still waiting for our room assignments.

Ciao all !!! :grouphug: laura

You are probably now going to get a whole suitcase full of vacation planning kits!!!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I know personally that I have SEVERAL of them that I can bring you! I send for them all the time because we love to watch them and dream of our next trips!!! :cloud9:

I would have never thought that Disney would not send them out to you in Italy...that it sad!:sad1:

Now that we all know...I am sure your wish will come true!!!!!!:wizard:

Okay, I lost the great instructions that were sent to me telling me how to respond to multiple posts so there will be a few from me this morning before I head off to class! :goodvibes

Jude - All you need to do is look on the right side near the bottom of one of the posts you want to respond to and click on the button that has the +" (next to the quote button). Then, go to the next post and do the same thing. Keep repeating that until you have all the posts you want selected and then go click on the post reply button at the bottom of the page. :thumbsup2

I am the world's WORST packer and always overpack. I think that is part of the reason why I have done nothing for packing yet...umm, that includes most of our shopping. Who knows - maybe this will be the year that I am totally organized at least the day before the trip!!! :rotfl2: <== Sean's probable reaction to that statement...

I am usually a huge overpacker sort of person. The idea of paying extra money for my luggage has inspired me this year to be the most efficient packer who only takes what she truly needs!!!:rotfl: Also, even though my suitcases are out and I have lists everywhere...there is absolutely NO organization at this point! Just because I am packing and I have lists does not mean I am on top of it all. One of my goals today is to try to organize all my lists and all the stuff I am setting everywhere around the house! :rotfl2:

OMG, don't look to me to be the energizer bunny. Heat and humidity knock the stuffing out of me on a run. On a nice cool day, I run about about an 8:40 mile. Since I am at Ft Dix I can't do the Wii. Ran 6 mi this morning but it isn't hot or muggy yet....

I am feeling so much better! :goodvibes No big hills and a speed that I can handle. Yesterday I did time myself...I went 3.1 miles in 29 minutes. I was pretty excited with myself because that time was even with walking one of the miles. I am just about to haul myself downstairs for today's workout!

Have a great day Jude...just think...you are almost done with Ft. Dix and will be on your way home soon!!!!!!

My problem with packing is I always have great ideas about what I am going to wear and then I end up wearing the same comfortable stuff over and over. So now I just pack half of what I used to pack. I found this great packing list if you want PM me and I will send it to you.

Denise

Hey Laura,

I have a few PM's to share with Jen and like Jen said we will have the FE list out to you before you leave. You must be getting excited.

I am still checking on tickets for you but not having good luck. THe summer is a popular time of year to go to the city. So that is why I think the discounts are limited around that time. You may want to get in line that day they sell discounted tickets right in Time Square daily. I believe they go on sale daily at 10:00 am. Ed, have you ever bought the show tickets the day??
