Happy Weekend Everyone!

and...Happy Anniversary to all this month! June is certainly a month for weddings! We celebrated our 19th this week! ok, so we are putting off celebrating til next weekend; had baseball practice on the anniversary date!

Wish us luck - headed to Richmond for the weekend for the State Championships! :woohoo: Woo Hoo! Go Team!:cheer2:

Only a chance of rain...fingers crossed. Hope everyone has a wonderful, sunny weekend!:cloud9::yay:

Being an hour from home is great :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

:worship:

For 2010, I will know what its like for the residents of Orlando or Coco beach to cruise, I can drive early Sunday morning and be at the port in just over an hour. No planes, No, luggage issues, too heavy, lost, etc, no delays, no transfers, etc etc etc.

And even at the end, no need to rush off the ship, just get the car and drive through kent and be back say by 10am, home, wont even worry about laundry on the cruise can do it the day we are back.

This year its a 7 hour flight back, ( always quicker going home-jet stream) 9 hours out. then pre boarding 3 hours, luggage and immigration an hour etc etc etc.

WELL our plans our comming together.

Just made reservations at the All Star's music resort for 3 days after the cruise. Free dinning too.

Nice, I have stayed there, before, good bus service, the best of the all stars as they start there, but book your ADR's for the free dinning asap, as they have been going fast.......

While its a 20 hr drive from home for me, I would still rather drive then fly if possible.

Happy Weekend Everyone!:cool1:

It feels kind of funny not to be planning ADRs for this trip! While we will be at WDW for a week before we cruise, we are only doing the QS plan. In many ways, I am really looking forward to trying this as it means that we do not have to be some place at a certain time just for a meal. I am still pouring over menus though to be sure that we have as many options as possible and do not get sick of burgers and chicken strips! :goodvibes

Well, it is time to get ready for dance recitals! Last performances for the kids with the groups they are in. They will dance this weekend, have a bit of time off, and then start summer dance to prepare to try out for their competitive dance groups again.

Have a great weekend!
Jen

For the period 12>15th Dreams got me all my ADR's that I wanted as my WDW Contemporary stay was booked through them,

The post cruise ADR's went like lightning, each day, I got about 80% of what I wanted but with the free dinner plan people were booking these up fast.

I worry that people may have been greedy and booking more than one meal at the same time, IE 12 noon MK and 12 noon Epcot, to give them flexibility, however they would only use one, and on the day decide what park they will go to, Disney should filter double booking like this out, but if they put them in different family names and addresses or emails they will not know this.

Hi Janeanne!
How was the "girls" trip to WDW?? Did I miss your post?? (sorry, things have been a little hectic around here...) I've been kind of a "lurker" lately, not alot of time to post - particularly since I am such a lousy typist - I have to check and re-check my posts!! (I really can spell - my fingers just don't always cooperate!) :rotfl2:
We're going to have an early celebration for our 18th wedding anniversary onboard!:cool1:

Mel, I haven't figured out how to include two different "quotes" in the same post...We'll probably pass each other in the parks before the cruise. We will drive down from NYS and spend a few days at my parents house on Daytona Beach (they're snowbirds so we'll have the place to ourselves!! ;) ), arrive WDW on the 10th and have ADRs at Liberty Tree (Mon), Boma (Tues), WCC (Wed), Sci Fi (lunch - Thur) and breakfast at Chef Mickey on Friday before we drive over to PC. We're staying at the POP and are so excited!! :cool1:After the cruise it's a fun drive back to NYS. But the trip will have been worth it!!
Good luck with the Euromillions!!!!!

Hi there - Not sure if I am the right person you are talking to. We are going to the world after the cruise and the girls did not go to WDW.

you may be right, just booked yesterday for 3 days after the cruise and I got about 50 % so far of what I wanted.

Yes, the free dinner package is verry good ,we had it in 2006 for a week and saved circa $1.5k on food for our family, but then it was not available to all, WDW pushed it this year to beat the economy and get more people through the turnstiles and now all ADR's for the August school holiday period were going faster than the space shuttle.

Glad you got some.

Yes living only 11/2 hours away is nice, breakfast at home before and lunch at home after!

Nice, you have the ships most of the time, so it will be a nice expereience to just drive and be at the port in just over an hour, and not worry about that long flight home.

For 2009 and this cruise, we have a villa after to the 'going home; is delayed and we do not have to worry so much, in an hour we can be at the villa albeit I might squueze in Seaworld between the ship and the villa as I have it free with Discovery cove for 14 nights.

Always wanted to do Animal kingdom lodge but the monorail resorts always lured me for the convenience of getting to the MK.

Not an expert on NY, but I have walked around Greenwich village and found great meals there.

There is a great steak place on 1221 Avenue of the Americas called Del Frisco's. Their sweet potatoes are to die for!!!

I don't know what type of humor you have, but...if you want to laugh for 90 minutes straight Avenue Q is hysterical. It's muppets for adults. I'd check out the website first to see if it's something you'd be comfortable with. My hubby brought me there for my 40th birthday with our friends and we were all laughing so hard we were crying.
