I know VERY TRUE!!!!!!!!!!! It just is going to now cost us a ton more... We booked 6 one way tickets for $1,300.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Sorry to hear that, Kristin. The airfare thing is a nightmare at the moment - we had to cancel our NYE cruise as the cost was double from the previous year and heading for silly money... :confused3

Good morning! :)

Bit grey and overcast here today so I'm off to the gym instead of going out walking - yesterday I did 4 miles!!! :thumbsup2

Nothing else planned for the day other than household chores...:faint: :headache:

Have a good one! :wave2:

Have fun! :rotfl:

Thanks, Harry! I worked hard at the gym - back again on Friday... :faint: Now I'm most definitely shirking - seems there's always way more interesting things than chores to do... ;)

Good morning folks
Hope everyone is off to a great Wednesday. I survived the swim team photo session despite parents who did everything in their power to p*ss me off. :rotfl: It's amazing how folks abuse their fellow parents when they happen to be the ones volunteering to HELP their kids' teams. Ok. Vent over.

Today I'm not sure what Im going to get accomplished. Hopefully a bit of writing.

Great day all!

I feel your pain, Jeff! Many moons ago I trained as an Early Years teacher - 4 years at University and then I discovered I hated the job. But not coz of the kids, it was the parents that made it hell... :furious:

Morning everyone.

We had a smog yesterday from the fires up in Napa (the wind blew it way down here). Seems like NorCal is getting lots of wildfires this year. Thankfully we shouldn't be affected, but I do feel sorry for those who live in the areas affected.

The skies have cleared up today (wind must have changed direction).

Just got tickets to take the kids (and this big kid!!!) to see WALL-E on Friday. I am looking forward to it. The robot reminds me of Johnny Five from Short Circuit though!

I hope you guys will be OK, Kay! I feel bad for all those dealing with these catostrophic(sp?) weather events, too. It's so crazy!!! I think DH is going to take Jordan to see WALL-E next week when we are on vacation, while I am at the scrapbook store!!

Same here! We saw a promo about it at WDW in May and initially I thought it was Johnny 5... Looking forward to seeing it tho'... :goodvibes

I fully agree about Wall-E!!! He looks just like #5 from Short Circuit.

Has anyone ever been to the Hoop- De-Doo-Revue? We may try it the week before the cruise.

I've been there!!! but i was 4 months old :rotfl: but i have seen home videos from it. it looks like soooo much fun!!! its sort of like the Garden Grill where they bring the food to you, if that made any scents LOL

We should be fine as we are in a metropolitan area (although we can see hills from our street).

I saw some of your pages on the scrapbook site, they are cool.

BTW - I finished the lunchbag scrapbooks that I was making. They turned out cute (but I forgot to take pictures!!!). We had a photo of the kids and some of them wrote a little "thank you" to the teachers.

I had a question for you though Nikki - what type of glue do you use / recommend for scrapbooking. I was using the Avery Permanent Glue Sticks (the ones from Costco!) but they didn't seem to stick 100% of the time. I then tried something else that said 'for scrapbooks' but it crinkled up the paper. I made the scrapbooks work, but certainly think there was room for improvement!

I want to go!!! I have heard it is fun. Not sure what our plans are for prior to the cruise next year, might try and get some time at our home in Kissimmee and rather than "do Disney" or another park, spend time exploring the resorts, the boardwalk and some of the restaurants I have yet to try. Although that may have to be after the cruise, because we usually have it booked through the middle of August.

Also I want to go to the Wilderness Lodge restaurant (can't remember the name at the mo!) that is supposed to be great fun for the kids. Have been told to ask for ketchup or a straw!
