Guess, what Bruce got me tonight for our anniversary??

Our wedding song was a song by Celine Dion. When we went to Vegas I wanted to see her in concert and she was on vacation that week. Well, our casino just built an MGM Grand!!!!!!!!!! She is coming to CT for an opening concert Labor Day Weekend!!!!!!!! He gave them to me tonight since it was our wedding song!! After, I got over the shock of how much the tickets were I was happy and I thought it was soo romantic... Don't tell him that I'm saying nice stuff about him...LOL!!!!!! He is soo sweet...
I was ready to kill him when I saw how much they cost. They cost the same as her Vegas show did!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds romantic!!

We had tree limbs and power outages in my town.

Off to dinner with Bruce it is our 14th Wedding Anniversary today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone,

Just taking time to say "hello" - I wish I could chat more often, but there aren't enough hours in the day :-(

Welcome to all the new cruisers, congratulations to all the anniversaries, birthdays, graduations and other achievements. I do read more than I post (honest!!)

In the last two days of school for DS so its mad, mad, mad around here.

I have just put a hold on flights to FL for the end of August - got a great price $230 plus taxes so that works out at under $1100 for all 4 of us. Now just need to persuade DH that we need to go

I know its still a way off yet, but has there been talk of a dis bag exchange? I was kinda guessing/thinking we would have one (I saw some neat small local items the other day, so I got them in anticipation).

Does anyone know when we can start booking flights for next year. Expedia only releases flights up until May 09 which would mean start looking in Sept of this year. Anyone any other thoughts/ideas etc on that?

Hi Kay! I would say you got an excellent deal on your flights! We haven't really talked about Dis tag yet but I am sure it's something we could get going. As far as flights for next Aug. I think what you found is correct, just 12 months in advance. We don't have too much longer until we can book them!

Thats what I thought. Bearing in mind this is from one side of the country to another - I was expecting to find the cost to be $400-$500 with all the fuel increases! I just held the seats and with negotiate with DH tonight. I feel the need for a Disney fix. Believe it or not, it will be cheaper for us to fly to FL than to drive down to DL because we don't have to pay for accommodation in FL. Wish me luck!

Oh that is cool we are going to go to SSR for Easter next year.. I know it will be nutty but that is ok. Another family from our town is also going so we will do some stuff with them and then go to our friends house in Orlando on Easter Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saw tonight that two more airlines (United & USAir) are now charging for the first bag. And USAir I think is now going to charge $2.00 for soda & juice!! So let's see.... have to pay the airfare.... extra charge to use curbside check-in....$15 for the first bag... $25 for the next.... better not be over 50 lbs or that's another $50.... have to pay extra for a window or aisle seat (Spirit calls it a "seat fee" or something like that).... $2.00 for a soda.... $7.00 for a "snack".... what's next??? How 'bout $5.00 to use the bathroom?? The cost of the flight is going to end up costing more than this cruise!!
