I checked my caller ID when I got home and saw you called! I will eventually get voicemail or something. It's been 3 weeks and I'm going nuts without it. How are you doing? And the family? Today was Gwynne's last day of K and they did a little presentation for us. Then they had a slide show to songs that couldn't get any more sentimental.

We just got back from a baseball game tonight and it was so HOT. I feel the sunburn coming on already. Here comes summer! Oh, and my bil said he and his family are going camping in a couple of weeks so if it isn't the weekend my sister comes to stay, then I'm taking the kids camping!! I'm excited about that! (unless of course it's 95 degrees with no wind)

I'm good and you??? I was just calling to say Hello!!!!! How how cute. I would have cried..

I guess things could improve (trying to be an optimist), but I saw on the news tonight some fares, in certain markets, are up 150% from last year!

Airfares are out of control

I'll volunteer Abby to swing out of Ohio, pick you up, head east, grab Nikki down in Baltimore, then swing thru NJ/NY and we're on our way.

Abby - how many of us can you cram in your vehicle?!

Sounds good, since Abby will be doing all of the 24+ hours of driving, I will bring a cooler of uhhh... "cold beverages", yeah that's it, and since Abby is the desinated driver, we can be the designated drinkers. Sounds good, right guys??

Speaking of road trip, tonight DH said we may be driving to Florida next August. I don't think so!

We definately are driving, autotrain home. DH's cousin works for Amtrak- and I am going to try for a discount!!

I had an internal interview on Thurs. with my boss,supervisor and HR manager, they said I would know something one way or the other in a week or two. So when I had a letter in my box today I was surprised then I was scared. Well it all turned out good so I'm very pleased..

I hope, I think it might be the auto train for us if things don't level off. I knew we might pay more in 09 but i'm not ready to pay just as much for airfare as at the cruise.

OMG It cost us $1300 to fly last October. But I think I'm going to book for this next cruise as soon as they come out rather than wait and risk watching the prices climb. This is all so crazy. $4 a gallon of gas!

I can't see a two day drive each way down there though. My DSis drives, but she lives in Nashville and they do it in a day. How long does the autotrain take?

17 hours, but a reg amtrak train is 21+ because it stops so many times. The auto train only stops once for staff changes, I think in SC. I like the auto train better than driving because of the lounges and dinning cars, the kids can get up and move around. I really would rather fly but the auto train is a good back up for us.
