OK, I see now what you mean. I wonder if her friend could move down?

Yeah that could be possible but I'm thinking I trust my daughter's maturity and instincts enough to let her move up so long as I know what the activities are and she is with her friend. I am thinking the counselors are going to have to be flexible about kids moving up and down in age groups as activities warrant - I know they normally aren't but with a sudden change like this, I think they are going to have to be.

I think a move down would be a little easier, and I think the counselors would be willing to accomodate.:goodvibes

Yes but the complication is that her friend is 11 1/2 so I have a feeling convincing her to move down is going to be a little more difficult. Just found out that they are only testing the new age groups on the west coast cruises and are asking for input so it may or may not be an issue for the Nov. cruise. So I am going to save my panic but talk to the counselors about it when we are onboard this summer.

Does anyone know if you can link on the web and play Wii Fit (or other games for that matter) against other people on-line? I thought I'd heard it could be done. Not that I want to do that. I already get beat by an 8 year old. I don't need to humiliate myself against other adults!

Yes it does - some of the best games are online! You can download old Nintendo games right on the Wii, too. Do you have all the channels downloaded yet? Tim is the Wii expert in our home - he's on Wii board as much as I am on here!

Wii-Fit is not an online game though.

Thanks Harry! I haven't loaded any of the channels yet. I'll have to look into that this weekend.

I got back on the Fit last night and I am the hula hoop master! :lmao: 5 hoops, 4 stars, no problemo! Now if I could just figure out how to land the ski jump without snowballing. Do you know? Oh, and have you done any of the runs yet? Do you put your shoes on for those? I did the short one just to check it out and that was difficult to run in bare feet.

Ski-jump - lean forward to get your speed up to 60-ish, extend your legs at the right time, but keep the dot balanced on the grid and you should land perfectly. It sounds like you aren't extending your legs.

Running - Yes, use shoes. One of the longer runs is 10+ minutes and then there is free run (where you can actually watch regular TV at the same time) where running with no shoes has to be painful.
