Frank-

The Wii is the first gaming system we've ever bought, so I have nothing to compare it to. We waited forever to get one but it was worth the wait!

How are you doing? It's been a crazy Monday as usual. Work, after school play date, homework, ball game................................it's bed time!!:faint:

Happy Tuesday Abby (sounds kinda like an oxymoron). After work yesterday, caught a quick workout, had ball practice, I help coach Mel’s softball team, dinner and then installed the Wii we (don’t even go anywhere with that!) just got. Mel was so excited, she was speechless, and that’s saying something for that kid  . I think she and Doreen and going to have fun with the Fit unit. In your post you mentioned homework. Are your kids in year-round school? Our school district has a traditional schedule, but we are thinking about moving to another state and the districts in the area we're looking at are year-round. If your school is year-round, do you like it or not? Hope you have a great day.

Wouldn't that be wonderful!!I know there have been threads speculating where the ships will all be sailing, but what would be on everyone's wish lists?

My wish would be for it to go to Alaska- I want to do an Alaskan cruise, and with DCL would make it even better. I can dream right!!

Hawaii, ooh or Australia / New Zealand….Krikie I’ve always had a hankering to say Geday and not look like a complete idiot (well, at least I’d be able to get 1 out of 2)!::yes::

Did you guys see the 'deal" today for DCL- if you book a cruise before June 15, 2008- you only have to pay half of the deposit, of course they just add the rest onto your cruise price, but that would be great for someone on the cruise booking now. I want to... must get ...off of the ...DCL site... OK I logged off of the DCL site- I'm better now!! :lmao: :lmao:

I wonder if they sell a patch like one of those Stop Smoking Patches we could buy to help with this little addiction :confused3

Hawaii is my number one. But i know that it's a problem due to the need to visit a foreign port.

They could always port in SF for a couple of hours, sometimes it gets pretty foreign there  !!! Hey, I live a couple of hours away from there, I can get away with saying that stuff!!!:rotfl2:

Now I am the only one on this board without a WII Fit. :rotfl2: I may have to head out today and pick one up!

We don't have year round school here. I think I'd have a hard time with it because the whole keeping up with homework and all the paper that comes home from school every day gets really old around May 1 so I'm thrilled that we have a break coming up in a week from all that. We still keep really busy during the summer with various camps (some active, some academic), along with a swim team schedule that is very demanding and summer dance but school - I'm glad it's going away for a few months!

A big AMEN to that. As Mel advances in grades and the homework becomes progressively more challenging, I'm beginning to wish I paid more attention in school!

Your not the only one without a WII fit. We don't even have a WII (or any other gaming system for that matter). Just a computer:surfweb:

Ok so I made one stop today to try to find a WII Fit. No go at the closest Target. Soon I'll be on a mission and hit every Best Buy, Game Stop and Target around.

I wish we owned some at Vero. We were at 600 at SSR now with the add-on yesterday we are at 700 at SSR. After, our visit to Vero I bet we want to look into buying resale there. But the maintance fees are high ther I heard..I think we are set for a while..How about you will you add-on in the future??!!!!

We rarely use all 500 a year now!

wow you folks are serious about this! That is a lot of points. I guess we have stuck with what we have because we like staying in the hotels sometimes and everyone says it's a bad deal to use points for the hotels and cruises. Kristen and Harry - do you find that to be true?

Cruises - yes; the "cost" per point is too high relative to the actual cost. Hotels - we used the Concierge Collection on a few occasions as well as one trade to a WDW hotel. The only reason we used the points at a WDW hotel is because of a problematic stay we had at a Concierge Collection hotel - all of the points used were refunded back to us, but we could only use them for a trade outside of the DVC locations. So it was use 'em or lose 'em!

Try to go to their websites and order for store pick-up - save yourself the hassle of going from store to store. Best Buy & Circuit City offer it.

Good point. Thanks for injecting some reality into my thought process. I'm still tired from watching the game last night.

I don't have one yet either, I think it would be fun too!!

Hey Frank! You know this crowd too well. :lmao: How on earth did you get a Wii so quickly?! We literally have been trying to get one since last October! Way to go though. Did you play? What games came with yours? The sports pack? I need to do Wii Fit tonight. I am sure my personal trainer is going to yell at me.

My kids actually get out of school this week, so no year round for us. Some of the districts here are year-round but it's mainly the city district and charter schools. I really think I would lose my mind if my kids went year round, just for the homework factor. We try to tag-team them with homework but more often than not, I am doing homework with both of them, which all said can take 2 hours a night. When are you looking to move? Another state is pretty big. Good luck with that!
