Good morning all, it's another great day in central FL, only 4 days left for school, kids are excited not sure about me. Hard to imagine my oldest has only 1 year left of HS:eek: , my younger DD will be in the 7 grade. I am dreaming of a weekend at the FW When they get out.

I am trying to do some. It started last year when my son's 1st grade teacher organized a class (parent) project of doing scrapbooks for the kids (showcasing their work, trips, art etc). I thought it was a nice way to keep the kids school memories together so I am trying to do the same for this year and his K year.

I don't think I really know what I am doing, but some of it looks OK - I am just making it all up as I go along. I certainly am not an expert. Perhaps I can pick the brains of the resident scrapbook queen before, during and after the cruise. All hail the mighty scrap book queen.:worship: :worship: :worship:

Nikki, are you a traditional scrapper or a digital scrapper?

-Kay

Traditional and for 13 years!!! Any questions ask away, I've also been on a scrapbook cruise. LOL :cool1:

I also scrapbook when I have the time (which isn't often). My dream is to have a scrapbook room where I can leave all my stuff out. The hardest part is setting up and cleaning up. I do meet with a group once a month which helps me get motivated. I am not very original with my pages, but it is fun.

We have a scrapbook- for me/playroom for my DD5. It is in my attic, which has slanted walls, so can't hang any shelves or anything, but it works. I like it because my DD can play up there, she has a TV and all, and I can "work" as she calls it.

I used to be a traditional scrapbooker but now I only do it online. I find I just do not have the time for the traditional anymore. I really did like it just did not have the time....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds good!! The kids around here don't get out until around June 10th or the 11th.

Welcome Frank:banana: My DD is also 9 now and will be 10 by the cruise. I know she would love to email your DD and get to know her once we get closer. Making friends before hand and meeting them on the first day has worked great on our two other Disney cruises. She likes to have some friends to hang out with at the clubs and pools.

Wow,
Mel's going to have such a network of friends---We'll probably only see her at dinner time! As we get closer I'm sure we'll do another roll-call, see how many kids we have and then get them even more excited emailing each other about the trip. Jeff & spoohs, or anyone with kids, if you are on broadband and have a webcam maybe they could have a "face-to-face" that way before the cruise.

We don't have a web cam, but could send pictures. My daughters name is Amanda. She was sooo excited when I told her there was another DD her age.

That's a great idea!!! I haven't used my webcam on my macs much. Always wanted to have them when I traveled a lot so I could see the kids and then I quit my job, started my own business bought new desktop and laptop (with webcams built in of course) and now I don't travel much. :lmao: BUt we test it every now and then to make sure we still know how it works.

And you know that there is a third, right... My DD (9 now, 10 on the cruise) is Elizabeth!

We just bought ours last weekend, on sale it was around $20.00 and the instant messanger software was included on the start-up CD. Doreen (DD) has a brother who lives in Boston and it is really a great way to keep in touch. If at some point you do ever look into it, look for a webcam with a build in mic, much more convenient.

Speaking of scrapbooking - Doreen & Mel have recently taken up the hobbie (or lifestyle, whatever fits). Mel got into it as a 4H project and it has expanded exponentially since then. Right now Doreen has around 4 projects going. We might need to look into Fish-Hangers for this trip.
