Pretty good, tired today. The next few weeks at work are gonna be tough- there are 4 of us and a supervisor- two of the girls are now on leave- we don't know when they will return. One has been out since Feb 12, the other left on Friday. Me and the other girl do most of the work anyway- but we still need bodies- to answer phones and answer the supervisors crazy questions. (She doesn't know much LOL) Then I have had a sinus headache for 2 days now- that made for a messed up day- but I have some meds for the sinus headache now- so I should be better tomorrow!!:goodvibes I'll be glad when I'm on vacation in May!!!

Feel better soon.

-Kay

Harry

I feel your pain.

Next week I get to spend a few days out of the office, just outside of DC, in Tyson conners

Sadly I will be in class during the hours most sights are open. I will proberly shoot into DC one night.

I definately think you will get some good weather next week in DC Ed!!!

Thanks Kay!:goodvibes How are things with you??

Sun is shining, birds are singing.. :cool1:

I have the house to myself for the first time in ages. DH started a new job this week which means he is no longer working from home. DS is at school and DD is at preschool today. I think I will get a lot more work done now. :rotfl2:

The drawback is that I am catching up on all the financials and paperwork that is sitting on my desk :surfweb:

Oh well, once its done, that's it til next time! :rotfl:

How is everyone else?

-Kay

Hello everyone! Got back this morning (OMG those overnight transatlantic flights are a killer) and spent the day getting back in the swing of things - OK, I mean sleeping on the sofa!!!

Barbados was lovely - DH and DS got all scuba-tastic whilst I just chilled, drank rum punch and read many books! My idea of heaven... :cloud9:

Hope y'all are healthy and happy! I look forward to catching up over the next few days... :goodvibes

Sounds like a wonderful trip, I'll bet you are so tan, and I continue to be pasty white. I really need to get out in the sun before May. LOL :rotfl: :rotfl: Rum punch in the sun- :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Hi Karen - Glad you had an enjoyable trip!

Unfortunately it is work-related so mostly I can't escape most of it! I'm the only staying down here for the whole thing so, though it is an escape - I'm on my own!

I drove down earlier today.... drove all the way back to coach a soccer game (we lost :sad2:)... and just drove back...

This is what I have seen so far.... old people, homeless people, more old people, a couple of prostitutes, old people, crazy people, and, oh, more old people. When I say "old" - I'm talking on death's door here, too! The elevators in the hotel require an access card. This poor old guy just couldn't figure it out... of course he was busy balancing his push cart oxygen tank with his other free hand that didn't help matters...

But - all-in-all, I will be out of my office, I have a wonderful ocean view, and the weather should be fairly decent.:)

Hey Harry, have you seen any old people lately? :lmao: A.C. sounds very charming!! I've never been there myself. I'll have to move that to the top possible vacation destination for us. ;) Is it really worse than Vegas?

Hi Kay! :goodvibes How does DH feel about being out of the house?

Hi Karen!!! Are you feeling relaxed and refreshed?! It sounds like paradise. :cloud9: Share some pics if you get a chance.

Nikki-

That's me all year round. :sad2: On the cruise just come stand next to me and you'll feel better about any winter pasty-whiteness you may have! I guarantee your winter white is darker than my summer "tan". :rotfl2:

Welcome back Karen! You gotta post some photos.

Hope everyone is having a great week. Very busy here. Just finished an annoying project I have been avoiding and feel MUCH better about things. It didn't take me an enormous amount of time but I had been just dreading working on it - it's for my (ahem) least favorite client. Just glad it's done.

We realized today that we get to book our excursions for our August cruise in just a couple of weeks (May 12) YIKES we haven't done nearly enough research. Probably do a dolphin encounter in Puerto Vallarta, go to a beach resort in Mazatlan and a catamaran trip/beach break in Cabo. Gotta do some beach stuff since there is no Castaway Cay on this one.

We have never done DCL excursions before so this should be a fun first. We got a $400 OBC from the TA (Carol - thanks Kristen!). That's a nice start for this one. We have a Cat 8 GTY so we are hoping to get bumped up to a 6.

Anyone who has ever done Mexican Riviera (DCL or otherwise) have any suggestions for those ports?

Jeff-

That is so exciting that excursion time is coming up!! It's so hard to believe that before we know it, summer will be in full swing. How is your family doing these days?

By all means bump it to the top of your list! I'm not familiar with Vegas, but are there crack houses on the side streets between the casinos there?! Of course A.C. doesn't have the heat of Vegas - it didn't even hit 50 degrees here because of some nastiness being blown in with the ocean breeze all day.

We're doing okay....one day at a time as they say. We are focused big time on vacation planning. I think that we will all appreciate our upcoming vacations more than ever this year. It'll be hard in many ways but healing as well. Our WDW trip is really coming up fast but the cruise - now it feels real with our excursion bookings coming up so soon!
