Thanks for missing me guys.
The excitement never ends. I was planning on going "home" Friday to go to the visiting hours and funeral for my cousin's husband but now I might not be able to go. (I also got the story on what happened to him. It's just so very sad.

My heart breaks for my cousin every time I think about it) Anyway, I was in Gwynne's room this afternoon putting clothes away while she was laying in bed. She started up with diarrhea again today. She began to make sounds like she was going to be sick. So I sat her up, she started vomiting, then she went completely limp and unresponsive, however her eyes were open the entire time. Called the squad, took her to the hospital. She had a seizure called an absence seizure. I believe it is a generalized type of seizure. First one she's ever had that we are aware of. Her being sick has nothing to do with the seizure, just a fluke it happened when it did, according to the ER doc. Tomorrow I'm taking her to her ped. for follow-up and also she is being referred to a neurologist for further evaluation. We just got back from the hospital a little while ago. I'm beat. I did get to ride in the ambulance with her. You would not believe all the A-holes who pull out in front of emergency vehicles. Gwynne does not remember anything that happened, not even being in the ambulance, even though she was screaming her head off when they were trying to do an IV, checking her blood, all sorts of things. After we'd been at the hospital a while she started asking where she was, why was she there. I knew when the fire chief got to our house and was wrapping her up and carrying her out to the squad that she was not OK, because she is very fearful of men, but she didn't even flinch.
So, as you can tell, my week has been just dandy. I've been somewhat reading the posts, just haven't been responding. Hope everyone is doing OK. I'm going to go play ketchup now and see what I've missed.
