Thanks Karen for the chip and dale!!!! its sooo cute!!!

You're all welcome, guys!!! :thumbsup2

...I do have one question, what exactly ARE Chip and Dale doing?

Ours not to question what/why, Abby!!! ;)

I just watched Big Brother- it is insane, I also watched Big Brother after dark on showtime- even worse, where do they get these people??? LOL

Sorry for the export, guys. :sad2: Who Wants To Be a Millionaire and Cat Deeley are better ones IMO... :rotfl2:

Thanks for missing me guys. :lovestruc

The excitement never ends. I was planning on going "home" Friday to go to the visiting hours and funeral for my cousin's husband but now I might not be able to go. (I also got the story on what happened to him. It's just so very sad. :sad1: My heart breaks for my cousin every time I think about it) Anyway, I was in Gwynne's room this afternoon putting clothes away while she was laying in bed. She started up with diarrhea again today. She began to make sounds like she was going to be sick. So I sat her up, she started vomiting, then she went completely limp and unresponsive, however her eyes were open the entire time. Called the squad, took her to the hospital. She had a seizure called an absence seizure. I believe it is a generalized type of seizure. First one she's ever had that we are aware of. Her being sick has nothing to do with the seizure, just a fluke it happened when it did, according to the ER doc. Tomorrow I'm taking her to her ped. for follow-up and also she is being referred to a neurologist for further evaluation. We just got back from the hospital a little while ago. I'm beat. I did get to ride in the ambulance with her. You would not believe all the A-holes who pull out in front of emergency vehicles. Gwynne does not remember anything that happened, not even being in the ambulance, even though she was screaming her head off when they were trying to do an IV, checking her blood, all sorts of things. After we'd been at the hospital a while she started asking where she was, why was she there. I knew when the fire chief got to our house and was wrapping her up and carrying her out to the squad that she was not OK, because she is very fearful of men, but she didn't even flinch.

So, as you can tell, my week has been just dandy. I've been somewhat reading the posts, just haven't been responding. Hope everyone is doing OK. I'm going to go play ketchup now and see what I've missed.

OMG, that has got to be one of the worst days ever, Abby! I would've been terrified!!! Sending you and Gwynne plenty of pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: and    ... I hope today goes well and the seizure proves to be a one off...

Karen-

Glad you are feeling better and posting!!

And what's with this slacking on keeping up with the board? Has your other thread come back to life? :rotfl: Just kidding!

Sorry, Miss. Will do better, Miss... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I'm thinking a million things to type here to amuse myself, but as it is a family and public thread, once again, I'll keep my mouth shut but silently egg Harry on. ;)

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I think we both know that Harry doesn't need any egging on - silent or otherwise!!!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Good morning!!! :wave2::wave:

Abby - I hope Gwynne is doing better. Best of luck at the doctor's office.

Hi everyone! I attended a meeting last night in our town (I've mentioned before that I am the Recreation Chairman for our town) for the purpose of speaking at a public hearing on a bond ordinance. It was the typical scene - seniors vs. families. I try to understand the competing needs of everyone - rich/poor, young/old, etc. etc. It bothers me when people start bashing each other over pennies though...

Earlier in the day there was a house fire here and a mom and her teenage son died. My "speech" was focused around the frailty and shortness of life. It is my opinion, that while we are all on this rock together for a short time (some shorter than others unfortunately) that we need to have a better sense of community and be afforded opportunities to enjoy life.... I won't bore you with the rest of my comments.... just thinking positive thoughts today as I prepare for a 9AM meeting that is going to be hugely confrontational and over.... really, pennies.....

Have a great day everyone :)

Harry-

That is very sad about the fire. You are so very right. Even if it didn't sink in with some of the people last night, they do need the reminder every now and then that it's not "all about them". They need to think about other things than themselves every now and then.

You are a good, and brave man!!

Harry

Good luck with that, while I was on the Council I was chariman of the Rec and Park department. I went thur many battles and have the scars to show.

Lucky for me, I won more budgets than I lose, but I no longer miss the fight.
