I do feel like I'm finally getting back to my old self you might say... Sad to say but the older you get the harder it is to recover it seems like...Pretty sad when your father tells you that you look like you've aged since you had surgery. Thanks, Dad!!! I thought my mother was going to kill him. If looks could kill...LOL!!!!

Three, is only a crowd when your a kid not an adult...LOL!!!!!!!!

Found out today that Tim qualified for two events in the Eastern Regional swimming championships at the University of Delaware!! We are very excited. DW is excited as well because Delaware = tax free shopping!!

He might have been able to swim a third event, but on that particular day we have to be in Philadelphia as we rented a suite for the Flyers/Penguins hockey game for Jake's birthday. It's going to be an exhausting weekend, but those are the moments we live for as parents

"the older you get...." I'm not going back to check, but I think you are one of the "younger folk" around here, eh?! You aren't allowed to start complaining until you get as old as Ed perhaps... LOL! Now.... if you want to theorize that raising twins has aged you... well, then you won't get an argument from me! LOL!!!

How are you going to manage that in one weekend the game and the swimming event???!!!!!! What a Great gift for Jake's Birthday!!!!!!!!!

The meet is Friday - Sunday.... we actually have to pull everyone from school on Friday..... He swims Friday. Then we will stay over and then do some shopping on Saturday. Sunday is the hockey game. I'm not going to moan about the shopping part because I usually make out pretty good - got my Mac there last year.

Sounds, like a busy but Fun weekend... See shopping can be good for you too!!!

We are tossing around the idea tonight if Bruce is going to coach their soccer team again in the fall. It was too funny last year to see them running around. But on the flip side it was pulling teeth on a Sat. morning to get the twins to the field when we had the first game and had to be there for 8:30....!!!!

That will be FUN!!! My kids are not morning people like Bruce is...LOL!!!! So getting them out the door was such a hassle.. They really enjoyed it and they all love Bruce. Our friends daughter refuses to play unless Coach Bruce is the coach. She loves Bruce....

It was very similar for me too. I vowed never to live like that. There is always something good that comes from situations like that. I learned so many things about what I didn't want too. It disturbs me though because a couple of my siblings do similar things to their kids as my dad used to do to us. I don't agree with their tactics because of how it made me feel as a kid, but I'm not them. At least my kids won't have to endure it. I'm sure I'll scar them in other ways. I can't wait until they are older and I'll make sure to embarrass them in public!!

That was exactly the approach I took, Abby! I remember writing a handbook on how not to be a parent - I was 9 at the time!!! Really, my parents should never have had children - they were so absorbed in each other and their damaged relationship that my brother and I were witnesses to scenes kids just shouldn't see... BUT what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger - apparently...

I don't think DH really accepts my silliness but he tolerates it! Most of the time he doesn't get it, but he puts up with it all the same. I am striving to pass it on to my children. So far DS is a willing student.

Both DH and I have our silly moments but we're mainly smart-mouthed and sarcastic!!!

That sounds fun! I didn't end up baking with the kids. DS got bombarded with homework tonight, I'm thinking since there was no school yesterday.

No V-day plans here. DH is out shopping right now I"m guessing for tomorrow. He didn't say. It must be some covert operation.

Have fun tomorrow! Maybe it's different when you are a teacher because it's just part of the job?? I dunno. I frankly don't know how teachers do any of it and still keep their sanity!!! I'm overwhelmed with only two kids' school stuff, let alone a whole classroom.

When my big kids were young, I trained to be an early years teacher (ages 5-8) but after 3 years at Uni, I found I couldn't cope with the increasing workload and a family so I gave it up! It's a tough job...
