Well, my wife tells me that there are two kinds of people in this world... Italians and those who want to be Italian!! I grew up in an area with a lot of Italians - throw the better half's family in there and I have a lot of the phrases down!

:rotfl2: I have never had any experience with true Italians. People around here are mutts. :lmao:

We say sneakers, you probably say tennis shoes.... I went to college in the Midwest (Missouri) - I picked up a lot of useless info (like "pop")... can you score me some Skyline Chili from Cincinnati and send it my way - I'm hungry! :)

Useless?? Whatdaya mean useless? :rotfl2: Just for that, you better watch out for boogers in your Skyline Mister!

Yup, we say tennis shoes. Missouri had to be culture shock for you. :rotfl:

NJ is synonymous with Italians.... (Sopranos for example).... not sure that's a good thing, but I can tell you that I love Italian food..... oooh, keeping it Disney of course, I received a Passporter email yesterday with a review of the new Italian restaurant at Epcot.... we loved Alfredo's... (there's one in NYC)

OMG she is so cute!! Does she look like a mix of both of you? From your family picture you posted a while back, your oldest son looks like you and youngest son looks like your wife. Neither of my kids look convincingly like me. They have sort of similar hair color but nobody who's seen us in real life ever says either look like me. DS looks more like DH and DD looks like my grandpa. I want a Mini-Me!!! I gave birth to both of them!!!! :rotfl2:

Actually - it was culture shock for Missouri!! I don't think they've recovered since! My roommates were all from Rhode Island (Italian, too - go figure) and we certainly hadn't quite an interesting time out there....

They used to say something like, "have Harry say it - he's from Jersey, he'll say anything" (had to be there)

I agree Harry with Abby. I think your DD looks like both you and your wife....She is really cute.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife is convinced they all look like me, but I disagree! She says the same exact thing as you - "I gave birth to them - I wanted a clone"!!

When you are standing in a line for something do you say "in line" or "on line"? (we say in line) And what do you call Coke or Pepsi products? Coke, pop, soda, cola?? We say pop. I think that's totally a mid-western thing though. I'm trying to think of other things we say differently.

In line for standing, on line for internet. :lmao:

I normaly ask for Pespi or then Coke, Pespi always first.

I can relate. A friend of mine lives in a major hick town and says some really red-neck things sometimes. So just for laughs we'll have her say certain things. Cheap amusement. :thumbsup2 There's a huge difference between here and Columbus (where I used to live). Moving here made me feel like I moved down south. I guess it's because living here we are so close to Kentucky. I just do not recall redneck/hillbilly anything in Columbus. And here it's everywhere!

That's what I thought, until a friend who lives in Brooklyn is always saying on-line. They even said on-line on Seinfeld!

I'm interested to hear all of our accents on the cruise. :)

Just, heard that the Hannah Montana Movie has made 26 Million thus far!!!!!!!!!!

ahhh, the memories.... long story short... at the end of my freshman year I had a friend drive from NJ to MO to pick me up... 12 days later we were in Columbus calling our parents from a payphone off of I-70 (it was shortly thereafter followed by quite an a$s-kicking upon our eventual return to NJ).... loads of stories from that trip which pretty much covered every state from MO to FL... :rotfl:

Remember - I prefer crunchy boogers... does that make it 3-way, or 4-way chili?!
