Good day all-

I got all of my ressies worked out with the TA. Great OBC! Thanks for the heads up! I'm just kicking myself that I didn't book onboard last week so I could get BOTH! At the time though the price quote was more expensive than the other TA I was getting prices from so we just held off :confused3 Bummer! With two staterooms worth of OBCs, I'd have all my drinks paid for!!! :cool1: Well, this should do it for the group though, cuz I did do two rooms....

So I've been trying to get caught up and I'm soooooo lost so can anyone introduce themself to me so I can just go forward from here. :rotfl:

Here's my deal.....I'm married with two little girls- one who lives the life of a princess (Emma) and my other one who is best suited to be a pirate (Molly)! I have a dance studio and that pretty much sums up my life- between my kids, my job, and my disney vacations- that's about all the excitement that I have. :lmao:

Welcome!!! I'm Nikki, married with a 5yo DD (Jordan) who tends to be more Pirate than Princess!!

My kids LOVED waking up to see the animals. I'm not a big animal person (ok, I realize with 7 cats that may be hard to believe :lmao:, but I'm a cat person, just not really into the zoo animal thing), but anyway even though I didn't think I would care that much for it- it was pretty cool! It just added something that you can't get at any of the others!

We loved the food situation- great walk-up (something that really ticks us off about BWV & SSR-limited walk-up selections), plus two unique sit-downs. The pool was nice too. I can't wait for the Kidani to open so we can see what that has to offer. Personally, I love OKW & BCV, but AKV will probably join that group.

The only thing we didn't like was that bathroom set-up- not a split bath in the one beds and no second bath yet until Kidani. Huge bathroom, but we like having a little more separation like OKW or SSR. Once Kidani is done though- that should be resolved!

I say try it if you can get in!

Thanks for the info, we will be staying at AKV for our first DVC stay in May. We can't wait!!:goodvibes What room area did you stay in?

We actually stayed in the section that faced the new building. It was fun for my DH who is in construction- he kept telling me what they were doing that day. ;) It was the fifth floor- I think all the DVCs are on the 5th or if concierge than on the 6th.

Did you beat the crap out of him at that moment?! I'd have yelled something in return that would be equally as, if not more embarassing.

No, I just quietly died in my seat as the bus was packed but I remembered to twist his arm up his back quite savagely when we got off!!!! :thumbsup2 OMG he was an obnoxious kid and I was required to look after him regularly so he delighted in causing trouble and/or embarassing me to glory!!! :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

DW just asked me a trivia question..... "how many times a week do I think she does laundry"?!?! I think that's a trick question or something....

I agree, that was a trick question!!! Tell your DW that I had a similar conversation with my DH on Thursday. :lmao: He didn't get it right.

HI all,

Been out most of the afternoon went shopping errands, etc. with Bruce and the kids. The workers were here so it was a good thing we left. Came home to a clean house too which was even better...!!!!

That sounds cool... :thumbsup2 I had the cleaning ladies here on Friday morning and I always enjoy relaxing on my own in the clean sparkly house on Friday afternoon - as far as I'm concerned, that's a little bit of heaven... :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: Unfortunately with 2 stupid dogs, it doesn't stay heavenly for long....

Ewww, I just had to turn off the news.... serial killer/rapist in Reno, drag racers kill a bunch of bystanders in MD, another college shooting, what the %*&* is going on?!

It's awful! We usually only watch news in the morning while we are getting ready for work, and it's local stuff. It's depressing.

Being on a swim team, and the type of shorts they wear, Tim is way over that particular embarrassment...

Yeah, I imagine most boys get over it quite quickly - my youngest DS has never seen the need to protect his modesty quite so energetically... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Sounds like a very busy day. But a FUN one. What's on tap for tomorrow for you and your family???? Monday your going into the city right???!!!!!! Tomorrow, Bruce has some household things to do. Other than that we are home till our "date" tomorrow night without the kids...YEAH!!!!!!!

The laundry never ends I swear the neighbors bring theirs in to our house too...

I agree!! I sometimes yell at everyone to quit wearing clothes! :rotfl: But DH is my biggest culprit since he wears a uniform every day then another change of clothes. Plus his clothes are alot bigger than the rest of ours. I hate :laundy:

Hi!!! Glad you got everything squared away. Nice to "meet" you! What kind of dance does your studio teach?

I am married (10 years this coming Thurs), have an 8 year old boy and 5 year old girl, work full-time, live the life of a typical busy parent! Sounds so unexciting eh?! ;)

:rotfl2: I displayed a full moon or two in my time. (never got caught by the wrong person though) I think the last time I saw one was on my dive trip to the Caymans in 1995! Don't people moom anymore?! :lmao:

I mooned a little in my younger days - usually at the local disco where I often felt compelled to remove my skirt and boogie around the dancefloor in stockings and heels!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Actually that was how my DH first encountered me - he was dating some other chick but liked my legs so much he dumped this poor girl and got a mutual friend to set us up about a month later!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Aaah and they say that romance is dead... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yeah, if there is that kind of power to them. :rotfl: I had actually forgotten all about that for like the past 20 years until last week something similar was brought up at work. My boss got a big kick out of that story.

I'd forgotten the whole "Karen, I can see your moustache" thing till last night - little bugger. I shoulda just mashed him when I had the chance... :crowded:

I think I work harder on my days off from work to be honest! Had Tim at swim practice at 8:30.... home at 10:30.... off to turn & stroke practice for Tim at 11:30 (I go to the gym for an hour).... grocery shopping.... play soccer with Jake for an hour.... played board games with everyone tonight.... oh, and I fixed a bathroom sink issue and took Tim out for lunch today.... That pretty much sums up the day....

So... overall - busy, but I had fun & everyone around here seems happy tonight (except for the person doing the laundry! actually, she's happy - just not thrilled with the amount of laundry!)

Laundry never ends in this house and I imagine it was worse when my DD lived with us - actually it must've been so bad I blocked it from my memory... :goodvibes :laundy:
