8/10/2008 - Mexican Party Cruise - Who's Here??

Jeff do you have us? I sent a PM with all our names last week when you were at the beach....maybe I did something wrong? But we would like to be a part of the FE. Thanks!

According to my list (those who provided cabin numbers or will do so once out of GTY status), these are the people participating in the Fish Extender Exchange. I may have made some wrong assumptions so correct me if I'm wrong please.

I will check (it's on my other computer). I may have just missed it but will PM you if I don't have your cabin number.

By the way, I got a response from the Westin and now after looking at their website I am very torn about what to do...

Here is what they said:

First of all, thank you for your interest at The Westin Resort & Spa Puerto Vallarta. For us is very important you know our services that´s why we offer a Day pass which includes the use of pools, beach and if you open a credit at your check inn you can charge consumptions in restaurants and bars. **The Spa Facilities are not included**. The day pass can be purchased at the Main hotel front desk and the cost is 15 USD per adult and 5 per child.

Hope this information helps you, we'll be glad to have you as our visitors.

Regards

Sorry about that. I DO have you. I forgot to mark your cabin as GTY so I didn't have it on my FE list.

So everyone: Add dlgrn to the list for FE!

Thanks for doing the legwork! Did you notice how far it is from the port by any chance??? Oh... and how much are we paying for Paradise Beach thing in PV????

Hang a paper bag by the door. :lmao: My point is that it doesn't have to be fancy. I saw a post about someone using a canvas tote bag because they hadn't had a chance to sew one.:rotfl: Whatever works.:)

I read on CC that it is a $3.50 cab ride - it's apparently walkable but no sidewalks on a busy street so I'd prefer to take a cab. I don't remember the cost of the Paradise Beach thing but I want to say it was around $80 pp.

:rotfl: So sorry. You had included your cabin number on your cruisemates info so I just assumed it.

But that's why I sent the list now..so anyone who is on it and doesn't want to be can tell me. And anyone who isn't but wants to be can too. That way folks buying stuff for the FE exchange know how many of everything to buy!

I'll try to finalize a list in a week or so...so speak now.... :-)

Folks on our cruise last November used a Christmas stocking!

Can anyone here tell me what the dining rotations are and the times they are. Sometimes the search doesn't find what you are looking for! Thanks!
Now it's back to :drive: and :laundy: !

Can you all share what excursions you are doing????

My excursion plan has been completed during the July 4th weekend, thanks to a veteran Mexican Riviera Cruiser who has just returned the week before.

To make the post short (I am trying everytime :sad2: ) I, the TA of the family, came up with and this is FINAL.

Cabo: take glass bottom boat to Lovers Beach, play on the sand for an hour or so (DS can swim, but not in the ocean, especially not in Cabo water). get back to the land, go to a Sushi joint, grab a couple of fresh mexican fatty tuna (TORO), snatch some fresh flour tortillas for Mr. picky eater, my DS6, get back on the ship.

Maz: on our own trip down (or up?) to Stone Island for a couple of hours grab some more fresh tortillas, and back on the ship

PV: take early tour to Las Caletas Hideaway, get back to ship, take shower, leave kids at the clubs, take a quickest cab ride down to HRC on Malecon.

We thought about leaving kids all day at the club, but since this is our very first Disney Cruise, we decided to stick together, except for at PV after one excursion, we are guessing, my kid can be careless about going in town.

Slowing down, but still to come shopping journal #20:
Went into Disney Store, they did not have much left but had PJ pals for $4.99!! Grabbed a couple sets for DD next year. Also, beach balls for $1.99 magically appeared, so had to have one for the trip.

Now I am back to
:drive: & :stir:

See you again, tonight

This will be our 4th Disney Cruise. After a couple of cruises where we have dragged them along with us into the port because we didn't want them to miss out on anything and they in turn complained because they were so hot, we left them on the ship when we went ashore on our last cruise. Granted, we only went into town to do some shopping and were back to the ship within 2 hours. This year, we are doing only 1 formal excursion. The kids are coming with us on this. They are always given the option of coming with us into town to do some shopping and sightseeing but usually would rather go to the club. It is just too hot out there for them and the thought of seeing armed guards walking around town really bothers my 12 year old.

No problem! Thanks for adding me...AND for taking on this huge "chore". :)

Is glass bottom boat tour in Cabo though Disney? I didn't see it listed. We really want to snorkel but our kids are way too young for it. They both dog paddle in pools but in the ocean, NO WAY! I can give up on snorkeling I guess if I knew another way to take my kids to see the sea life.

I love how you have this all FINAL. I envy you!:worship:

I have changed my cruise plans every day for weeks.

We are taking my kids on two other excursions with us. I am sure they will complain at some point. I do plan on spending a lot of time with them during this cruise. I want to see their faces while they experience things. I just really want to snorkel and they can't. After reading your post I realized that they may thank us for not dragging them around that day. We will back on board by lunch time. They probably won't miss us for 3 hours!

Hey where has Karen (Custard Tart) been? Karen we miss ya!
