8:05 Hollywood & Vine reservation - Hmmm

My son is 12 so he doesn't care about characters at this breakfast. I booked it to get in the park. If we just eat and get out, can you line up at rope drop before the gates open? Is it a rope drop further back off the street? I know where the restaurant is so I'm trying to picture where we would end up prior to 8:45.

When we ate there in January 2010 it was roped off near the restaurant. We just hung out there until rope drop was over. We had no problems getting over to TSM.

Too funny! I booked a 8 AM ressie for this same reason! DD will be 10 and she said, "Mom, seriously!" I said, "Honey, you don't HAVE to get autographs! We need to get on TSM!!!" We did TSM for the first time in February and LOVED it! Don't want to miss it this year! So.....do I get a FP for TOT then do TSM? I can't remember the order when you want to do RNR, TOT and TSM......

unless you will be there the same day as my family, i suggest you ride TSM first, FP it second (or vice versa), head to ToT and ride standby, hit RnRC on the single rider line, go back to ToT and grab a FP for it (if enough time has elapsed since your TSM FP)... however, for anyone that is there when we are there, i strongly suggest you start w/Muppets, Indiana Jones and Backlot Tour LOL!

There are three "rope drop" positions for CMs. The first is on Hollywood Blvd, the second is to the left to allow people with pre-opening reservations to go over to H&V, and position 3 is to keep people from going deeper into the Park than H&V. And if you are at H&V when RD occurs you will be directed to join up with The Running Of The Bulls closer to the top of Hollywood Blvd. But you still can't get ahead of the CMs who are leading the hordes!

That will work out fine. That way I can slide over and elbow gigi1313 out of the way to be front and center on Hollywood Blvd. JK.
