Hi All.

I’m trying to book a room right when the 8:00 EST window opens, but I’m running into some type of issue with DVC’s system - I’ll hit the button right at 8:00 EST (as checked with time.gov) but the system makes me close and refresh results. On a few occasions I’ve even waited a few seconds after the window opens, and it makes me do the same thing.

Any explanations or tips would be appreciated.
 
Try waiting to do the search at 8 Eastern. Many report that if they search and then push select at 8 am Eastern, the system thinks you are trying before 8 am Eastern - time is tagged at search not select.

I agree with Carol....don't hit search until 8 am. The system used to allow you to do that, but I have noticed that ability seems to be gone and you can't even search until 8 am now.
 
This has been my experience as well, you have to hit search right at 8:00, alternatively you can hit the reload button on your browser at 8:00 if you have already searched, however this always leads to the chance of having to re-authenticate if you’ve been logged in too long.

Everyone in this thread is correct don’t search until 8 am. About 2 years ago DVC changed it so that it does the check that 8 am has passed at the clicking to search, previously it used to check when you clicked to book the room.

So the flag in the system that 8 am hasn’t passed doesn’t get reset which is why you were seeing the error. I’m not sure at all why they made the change given that it already queries the system to make sure the room is open when you click book, perhaps it’s more stable on the system.

In short, yes don’t click to search until right at 8 am or you can click the refresh button at 8 am. Then you shouldn’t have the problem.
 
I'm assuming it all finally worked. I just wanted to add that Im also had problems when I tried (successfully finally) at exactly 7 months last week. We've been members for over 20 years, and even though I've used the same password for most of that time, the system kept telling me my password was wrong. I retyped, retyped, made sure my Email was write, caps weren't on-finally gave up in frustration. After 1/2 hour, tried again-this time it decided that everything was right, and fortunately the room was still available to book. DVC MS IT at work?
