7th January 2007, Dancing Queens Thread CONTINUED

Another weekend come and gone....:teleport:

It was a fun and productive one for Mike and I.
On Thur. we went to see John Carter. It was good. I liked the 3D, but the story was predictable.
Sat. night we went to a nice Irish pub here in Montrose, for St. Patricks day. It was a fun night.
The productive part is, that Sat. and Sun. during the day we spackled/painted the main wall of our living room. We will continue the painting until its done, but only a wall or two at a time so we don't have to take apart the whole room at once. We went from a drab tan ( which I have never liked) to a bright and sunny golden. (Its call "Evening Glow") It looks so much nicer then the tan! Really brightens up the room. Kind of gives a Mediterranean or tuscan feel.

Robin,
The weather here has been stellar. I cant believe it, but Im not complaining at all.
We have robins, and starlings, and I even have a pair of bluebirds checking out my ornamental birdhouse, not ment to really be used, but I'm not telling them that. LOL;)
Ohhhh...and the sound I look forward to hearing every spring, because it means no more heavy frost are the "peepers" ( frogs in the swamp down the road ) and I have been hearing them for the past few nights!...YEA!
Lovin it!

Well enjoy your day and the coming week. :wizard:

Hello ladies. Hope all is well with you both.

It's been super crazy around here the past week. My mom has finally moved in with us. So we've been packing and moving and organizing and all of that fun stuff. She still has possession of her house until Friday and we have a bit more cleaning up to do there but soon (hopefully) life can slow down to a normal pace again.

Mandy, I have not forgotten that I am supposed to post cruise pictures for you. It is on my to-do list :3dglasses

The weather here has been unbelievable, hot and sunny and just perfect:goodvibes

Hey Girls

The weather here has been amazing too, we're loving the warm temps

I've not long got home from Manchester. Paul & I had a shopping day and stayed over. The first thing I bought was some sunglasses and after doing a bit of shopping we sat outside the pub with a cider :cool2: We just couldn't believe we were doing this in March

Paul bought me a lovely green dress for a future cruise, and I bought a flowery top and some sandals, we had a lovely time :)

Enjoy what's left of the weekend girls, and I look forward to seeing your pics Robin ::yes::

Sounds like you had another successful shopping trip Mandy:thumbsup2

I have not forgotten the pictures but haven't had the time to sit for long enough to get the job done.

The weather has been warm and cool both. Typical of spring.

Anybody have any special plans for the long weekend?

We are having Easter dinner/Rick's birthday here on Sunday.

Lots of things to do to get ready.:goodvibes

Have a great weekend everyone.

Hey Dancing Queens

Sadly the wonderful weather only lasted a week, and this week has been a real mix of rain, cold and even snow

We haven't got any plans for the Easter weekend, so it will probably be a chilled one (famous last words :rotfl2:)

Have a lovely Easter girls, and I hope Rick has a lovely birthday too :)

Hey ladies. :)

Our weather here has not been all that fantastic either. Was great in the beginning of March but it has been very windy and quite chilly at times ever since that hot spell we had.

We had all the family over on Sunday for Rick's birthday/Easter dinner. Ended up with 13 people in all. It was very nice having everyone here.

Other than that, just been busy with the business of life :thumbsup2

How about the rest of you?

Getting very excited here...ONly 2 weeks and we will be in WDW.:cool1:

The weather has bee crappy here too. Snow yesterday. I posted pictures on FB. Luckily Easter was pretty nice, so we had our hunt and the kids played outside a lot after dinner. It gave the adults some nice semi-quiet time to visit. The best part is ...Mike cooked the whole dinner, except for the desserts I did Saturday! A good day all around!

Other then my writing which is done for this month, (Gonna work on an article about the Flower and Garden Fest in Epcot) I Have been busy with planting my seeds for my garden, and Mike and I are taking a Texas Holdem class on Tuesday nights. We have played Five card draw before, but have never played Texas Holdem, so It sounded like a fun night to meet new people and learn a new porker game.:thumbsup2 Only one more class, then we get to go to the "Mohegan Sun Casino" and try our luck on a table open just to the class! That should be fun!

I have also signed up for horse riding lessons with a friend, starting the day before we leave for Fla. I know...I know how to ride, but without my horses its hard to do. This way I get to ride 90 mins a week, meet new friends and learn some riding pointers too! Cheaper then renting a horse, and you don't get stuck just following the horse before you on a trail, which may be fine for most, but after you have had horses and have gone when and where and however fast you wanted, its hard to just sit and follow..:rolleyes1

As for today..I am going food shopping!:upsidedow...and I get to do my laundry too!:laundy:...LOL yea!

So thats my life right now in a nut shell...exciting I know:rolleyes:
Hows life been for you all?

I hope the day is good for you, and you enjoy it!:wizard:

Hi Girls

All is quiet over this side of the pond :) No plans for the weekend either, and the fab weather we had a few weeks ago seems to have vanished too

Betsy, you must be so excited about your trip to WDW in 2 weeks time, I hope you have a great time, I really enjoyed the Flower & Garden Festival last year :)

Robin, don't forget about your cruise pics, I'm looking forward to seeing them

Have a lovely weekend girls ::yes::

hmmm, I never got any email notices that there were posts to these threads?? I wonder why?

Mandy, I have definitely not forgotten the pictures. Actually I just loaded them up and came over here to start posting them:thumbsup2 Now lets hope the DISboards will cooperate with me for long enough to get the job done.

So here goes.

We went the day before down to Miami and spent the night there. Here are a few pictures from that....

Our day at Labadee, Haiti. This is Royal Caribbean's private "island" but it is really a peninsula not an island.

Now you all know how much I am a Disney fan and how much I love Castaway Cay...... that being said....... Labadee is absolutely gorgeous. We all loved it there. I'd go back there any time, the perfect combination of beach, palm trees and beautiful sandy beaches.

Falmouth Jamaica. We got off the ship there but mainly just at the little shopping area that was provided at the end of the pier. So I don't have many pictures from there.

So here are the pictures I have of Jamaica and also our last day at sea on our cruise.

:wave2:Robin! Great shots. ::yes::
Looks like you all had a great time. That island is beautiful.

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed them.

Getting ready for a crew tonight...My son and a few of his sons are going hunting in the AM. Staying over to get up before dawn. Good thing I just made a huge pot of turkey soup!:thumbsup2

TTFNpaw:

I don't know about where you are today Betsy but here it would be a great day for turkey soup. BRRRR here today. Cool and windy and dreary looking outside.

Last night my mom, Liz and I went to an Alan Jackson concert:goodvibes If you are a country music fan then you will know who he is. The concert was fantastic. The man can really sing, sounded as good as he does on his recordings which is not always the case with singers:thumbsup2

Hi Robin,
Its rainy and dam COLD here!:sad2:.....I hope the weather clears for thursday, I dont want any delays getting to Fla.
I am not a huge fan of country, but I like it now and again. I know who Alan Jackson is, and yes, he one of the good ones. I use to like Garth Brooks a lot before he stopped doing concerts. I haven't heard much from him at all lately. So glad you are getting out with your mom, and Liz and enjoying each others company. Life is too short to waste time away from the people you love.

Really excited about our four days in the world...I know its gonna wizzzzzzz by, but still will enjoy some down time with Mike. His work has him working all the time..even when he gets home the laptop is open and hes fielding problems from the job. I told him if his phone rings at WDW its going into the world showcase lake...LOL

Well I hope your spring comes back to you ASAPpixiedust:

Have a great time at Disney World Betsy.

I'd love to be going there this weekend but we are going to visit Alex and Stephanie this weekend, so I guess I am getting away for a bit:thumbsup2

What's new with you Mandy?

 Hey Grils

Sorry I've not been around much lately, the DIS is doing my head in as I have to sign in everytime I log in, I've tried clearing my cookies but it's still playing up for me

Anyway, less of that, Robin thanks for sharing your lovely photos, it looks like you all had a great time. The island looks beautiful, as does the ship and you had some nice stops along the way ::yes::

Betsy, your trip has come round so quick, I hope you both have a fab time, I could do with some Florida sunshine right now :)

Hi Girls

Things are a bit mad around here at the moment, at the weekend Paul decided to book a vacation for THIS week :faint: We fly to Orlando on Thursday and spend a couple of days at the Ron Jon Resort at Port Canaveral, then join the Disney Fantasy on Saturday and do the Eastern itinerary :) After the cruise we'll be spending a few days at the Pop Century

I won't be posting anything on FB about it, but I will be doing a trip report when I get back ::yes::

As you can imagine, I'm a little excited :dance3::dance3:
