Morning Kelly and congratulations on your newly acquired computer skills

I was supposed to have dance class this morning but the teacher called and said that she had other things to do.

She said I could go and practice with her mom and another lady if I wanted but I decided not to do that.

I've got to go into work, which I'm going to do shortly.

I've also got to try and recover from my middle of the night shopping trip to Walmart with my daughter

She got off work at 11 and wanted me to go shopping with her.

We didn't get home until about 1:30 or so.

Normally our Walmart is not open 24hours but it is for the month of December.

It's actually a fairly peaceful time to be in there

I am stuck home today...We have a winter storm warning, with sleet and snow expected....
I will probably start putting up our Christmas decos....
The tree is up and lit...It looks very festive!

Actually I'm almost always up at that time of day anyways.

It's kinda hard to make yourself go out in the dark and the cold to go shopping through

It sounds like something Mike would want to do...He's the night owl in our house....I am lucky if I can keep myself up past 10...LOL
Its wasnt always like that tho, I must be getting old...Although I have to admit when I was up all hrs of the night in my younger days, I was also sleeping until almost noon the next day..7:30 AM is sleeping late to me now.
Time has a habit of changing our habits

Woohoo ! It's the weekend

Have you got any plans. We haven't got anything planned, maybe I'll persuade Paul to take me to see The Day the Earth Stood Still.

Robin ~ I couldn't imagine going shopping at that kind of time. I have been known to get up at 6am to go shopping, but at night I like to be in bed for about 10.30pm

Betsy ~ I hope the snow wasn't too bad, and that you were able to finish off doing you Christmas decorations

Kelly ~ How did Carolin's PT appointment go ? It's great to hear that she is improving everyday ~ yay ! it's another day closer till we meet up again. How's Chad ? what is he up to these days ?

Thank ya!! How much snow did you end up getting yesterday? We ended up with some minor flooding. It poured yesterday and the wind was a little bad.

Kelly ~ How did Carolin's PT appointment go ? It's great to hear that she is improving everyday ~ yay ! it's another day closer till we meet up again. How's Chad ? what is he up to these days ?

Her appt went very well! She will be seeing them once maybe twice a week. I can't believe that it's less than 3 weeks away! Wow... I've got so much to do in between now and then. Chad is doing pretty good... he's bored with school and the drama that goes with it. He's still playing soccer on the traveling team, he's actually playing 2 teams this time. Last week he had 3 games back to back... How are the girls? Is Kerry enjoying her job still?

I've got to get motoring... we are finishing up the decorations for the Christmas party. Tonight, Chad has two games. Tommorrow, I'm going to try and Christmas shop and then we have our Christmas party. Sunday, I hope to relax after church!

Good morning ladies.

Today the guys at work are having a bbq lunch.

Rick and I provide the steaks and everyone brings something to share.

So I'm going for that even though I don't have any work to do at the moment. I cleared my desk yesterday.

Tomorrow my mom and I might go to a 60th anniversary celebration for the couple that lived next door to us all of my growing up years.

On Sunday Rick and I are going out for dinner to celebrate a friends birthday.

So lots of plans for me in the next couple of days.

Kelly ~ It sounds like Carolin is doing well. Have Chad & Carolin broken up for the Christmas holiday from school yet ? Kerry finished on Friday (she just has to pop into college a couple of times next week to hand in assignments) and Becky finishes next Friday ~ then no school or college till the 12th January (as they'll miss a week off school while we're in WDW)

Now I wouldn't say that Kerry is enjoying her job, but she is certainly enjoying spending her wages

Have fun at the party tonight

Becky is having her friend over to stay tonight, so Paul & I may pop to the wine bar for an hour or so (especially if the girls start singing along to the Disney SingStar game we bought them )

Robin, your bbq sounded yummy! I'm jealous to hear you've cleared your desk! I can hardly see the wood on mine for all of the papers! Hope you enjoyed your busy weekend!

Betsy, did you get alot of shopping done? I've decided not to bake much if any at all this year. It's going to feel weird but I'm so behind on everything else and the next two weeks are going to be extremely busy!

Mandy, Chad's last day is Friday. He's pretty excited, he reminded me this morning that there's only 2 weeks and 2 days til we leave... I need to get organized! Today is Carolin's first day of homebound studies. She'll be on official break as of this Friday too!

What are your plans for this week ? Are you finishing off your Christmas shopping or going to any parties ?

We've got a quiet week, but at the weekend Paul & I are going out for a meal with some friends and then going to a comedy show ~ we're really looking forward to it

I'm also hoping to get some washing and packing started this week, I can't believe how this holiday has crept up on me

Good Morning ladies

We had a busy weekend...That seems to be the norm lately

Mike had Friday off, went shopping...
Then on Sat. ...Went shopping... ...
Then on Sunday besides church,,, didnt do much...but waited on the DGGs,...ie: Breakfast, then a few hrs. later, Smoothies, then an hr. or so later...Lunch...
Then at 3PM we went over to my other DSs house as it was my DGD Kateri's 4th birthday..It was fun to have the whole family together...Even Julia made it over after work....I have pictures..Ill try to empty my camera today...
That way you can see my TG pictures, my icy pictures ...AND Kateri's birthday pictures too......
Sorry, I am not constant, but I have GREAT bursts...of energy..Ya just got to catch me at the right time...LOL

I bet you (Mandy, and Kelly) are getting really excited!

Hows dance been going for you?....

Well the weather here is kind of weird again...its very warm here today! All the snow is gone and and the ice is turning to slush...Im not complaining mind you...Just baffled

Mike is giving me a new Nikon SLR camera for Christmas...Its too costly in my eyes, but he wants me to have it befor we go to Maui. He says this will give me time to get comfortable(sp?) with it. He's a peach!

Well I have a BIG MESS to clean up from Yesterday with the girls, and a ton of laundry ...So I'll not be bored today...Just tired by tonight......LOL

Hi Mandy & Robin!!

We have choir practice Wednesday for our cantata, Christmas caroling Thursday nite, soccer game friday nite, somemore Christmas shopping Saturday, Christmas parade Sunday...

Yesterday... DD, Carolin, & myself had a touch of the stomach flu. We all still feel a little bad. This morning Chad has woke up with a sore throat and coughing. I guess it's good we are getting it now!

Well, it seems our family is falling apart! Now that Carolin is on the mend, dad hurt his knee the other day and is on crutches! The bad part is, he hurt his back 3 months ago. He has been doing PT weekly and has seen a big improvement. We were worried about him being comfortable for the trip.

Yowzers! I'm ready for this trip to begin!
