I'm so pleased that Brent is still onboard, he was brilliant when we were there in the Summer, and he was so much fun with the girls, they thought he was great

No, he had a different assistant when we were there, actually our assistant wasn't so good, but it didn't affect our Cruise

I hope Brent is still there next year

The girls can't wait to see Chad and Carolin too. I can envisage them all going off together to evening EMH's till all hours ~ while we chill with you and CW for a cocktail somewhere

While we were having brunch in Palo there was a major thunderstorm going on outside. This poor little bird was standing belly deep in a puddle for quite some time. I was wondering how we were going to rescue the thing and where in the heck it had come from. It sat for about half an hour and then flew away.

Where was Liz when you needed her!!

Ive had a busy day today...
I had a TA call me today with a great price for our Vacation, So We jumped on it! ... We now have the flight, our car and most of our lodging...We still have to book the Hana part, but the rest is all done!
Its for Sept. 18th-28th... .BIG step...and .Just a little scary...
But exciting too!

I wanted to let you ladies know that I will be out of town again.

An unexpected trip (business related) has come up.

We are driving ( yes driving ) to Houston Texas to look at something and maybe purchase it and bring it back home.

That is over 22 hours of driving time, ONE WAY

We are leaving early tomorrow morning and probably won't be back until Wednesday sometime.

If I get access to a computer at a motel I will pop in and let you know how we are doing.

I had a great day yesterday. My friend Natalie (who I met through the DIS) and I went Christmas shopping. We took the train to Leicester, and she had a major spend. I didn't need much as I'm just about ready for Christmas, but we had a lovely day shopping, and we also had a pub lunch, which was very nice

Not sure what we're doing today. Becky wants a lie in, Kerry is at work at 10am, and Paul is still in bed too - so it could be a lazy day today

I also wrote all my Christmas cards and bought a new 7ft slimline tree ~ I can't wait to put my decorations up ~ I'm so excited

I have been busy baking for the holidays..and freezing it...I baked two banana cakes today.
and I made a pineapple upside down cake a few days ago that was awsome.

We have a good portion of our Christmas shopping done...
and its all stacked up nicely in our closet..Just waiting for me to wrap.

You are probably done already right?...
I bow to your.. Christmas preparedness...

I always start going a little nuts this time of year, with all the holidays..
I have to cook a dinner for 21, in a couple of weeks, for Thanksgiving, and my planning for that stalled, last week.. I better get back on that...

Mandy, we drove straight to Houston stopping only for bathroom breaks, gas, food and to sleep at nights and did our business and headed back home the same way.

We drove there to pick up something for the business that Rick needed to see before he bought it.

He also wanted to bring it back instead of shipping it, so off to Texas we went

Good Morning DWDQs

Yesterday, I put my deposit down for the house rental in Hana ...With the deposit, and the cost of the air, our vaca savings are now down to $000.00 ..LOL,
But thats about half of what we owe, and we have 10 months to save for the rest...So I think as long as all goes OK, with Mikes work(ya never know with the way things have been going lately )
We will do OK....

Well hunting season has started here,(turkey?)...and you can hear the guns going off every now and then...Every time I hear them...I am hoping they missed...
Of course I KNOW its no one I know hunting, soooo..
Also the deer are in rut!
Yesterday on my normal Thurs. travels,( 15-20 min. drive to pick up my mom, then a 20-30min drive from there to pick up my DGS, then a drive into town(15mins or so), and then doing it in reverse, at the end of the day..) I saw lots of deer( at different times), and four bucks( all about six points at least)
Ya dont normally see buck, I consider it a treat....To see four in one day!.. WOW!...They were acting all crazy, chasing the poor doe...LOL.
Too bad I couldnt stop and watch more, but I was in a hurry, and there were cars behind me.......So I just enjoyed them on my way by...

I am going back into town today to pick up TG supplies..I just cant do that with my mom and DGS...I need to be able to think without distractions...and believe me they are major distractions...

It's early morning here, and Paul & I will be heading to London to watch an England v Australia Rugby match - I'm really looking forward to it Then tonight we're going to Birmingham for a nice meal and then staying the night

Mandy, I hope that you are having much nicer weather than we are here.

It's been raining for days now and more rain and maybe snow is in the forecast.

I've been trying to get over this cold. It hasn't been really too bad but just enough to be annoying.

I spent some time this morning packing up some stuff in the trailer. You know, stuff that will freeze etc. I also took everything out of the cabinets and stored it all in air tight rubber bins. If we are unlucky enough to have mice get in over the winter then at least I have less to clean up that way.

Tomorrow I have a baby shower to go to.

Hopefully I feel better. I have to drive Rick's mom too. We have to travel an hour and a half to get there.
