7th January 2007, Dancing Queens Thread CONTINUED

Morning gals,

I had a busy weekend....
I finished all my mowing, and we closed our cottage....I still should mow over there, but Im not sure it will get done before the snow flies...LOL

Sunday we had a birthday party for Doug to go to...He turned 8 last weds...It was fun...and we had the whole family together ...that doesnt happen to often anymore..So that was nice, even tho Julia didnt make it until the end of the day(had to work). We havent gotten to visit with her for about a month now...She has been working on Sundays...:sad1: Its hard not seeing her on Sundays, after having her to visit every Sunday since she was little...We miss her...

Mike had a meeting today at work so he couldnt take today off, but next week he will...Im not thrilled with the uncertianty of his work, but him having to take Mondays off, is kind of nice...:teeth:... Although I get alot more done in the house with him at work...LOL:laundy:

Robin,
Did you enjoy you last trailer trip of the season?....We didnt take ours out at all this summer..., after spending so much on the WDW trip with the girls, and saving for our Maui trip... we just didnt have the money to go anywhere else this summer....Also there is a problem with Mikes towing pkg, on the truck that needed fixing...It will all just have to wait until next season...

Mandy,
It sounds like you had a nice time shopping for Christmas.....We have been doing alot of our shopping for Christmas on line...So nice to just order something and have it at your doorstep a week or so later....
Although I have to say some things have taken alot longer then that...:sad2: Im glad most of my orders are not needed for a couple of months...;)

Kelly,
I hope you enjoyed a weekend with no plans...:thumbsup2 They are nice sometimes...arnt they!:goodvibes

Well,
I have a ton of laundry to get done:laundy: ...and cleaning too!:faint:

I hope you all have a good onepixiedust:

Just wanted to send a quick hello!

They have me pretty busy here in the office today! I'll be able to chat more tomorrow!

Hope you all had a great weekend!:goodvibes

Hello all, I am back from my weekend away.

It was a very nice weekend, weather wise.

It was sunny and pleasantly warm during the day but a bit chilly and "buggy" at night.

But the company was good and the food was good, so heck, all was well.

Good Morning DWDQ's

I hope you're all well today

Betsy - It sounds like you've had a busy weekend. I'm pleased that Doug's birthday was fun

Robin - Glad you had a good weekend. Will that be your last weekend away in your trailer ? You've had lots of trips away in it this year. Where will you keep it in the Winter

Kelly - I hope you're not so busy today, and that you had a good weekend too :thumbsup2

All is quiet over here. I wrapped lots of my Christmas presents up yesterday (LOL) and I'm determined to be organised for the beginning of November ;)

Is anyone interested in the Summer 2010 Cruises that can be booked today ? The Magic is coming to the UK, but we won't be sailing on her (though we will probably go down to Dover for the weekend to see her :) ). We're thinking of taking one of the 5 night Wonder Cruises and double dipping at Castaway Cay again, though we probably won't be booking it till next Summer (when we're back onboard).

Anyway girls, have a great day :)

Good morning Mandy.

It sounds like you had a productive weekend, wrapping all of those gifts.

I have no idea what we will even be doing for gifts this year. Maybe nothing:confused3

This past weekend will most likely be our last weekend for the season with the trailer.

We keep it parked at our business property which has a lot of parking space behind a large fence with barbed wire on the top of it. We didn't put up the barbed wire fence it just came that way when we purchased the property;)

It is just a bit too tall or we might have considered parking it inside our building. It won't fit thru the door though. Then we wouldn't have to worry about putting winterizing stuff in it so the pipes don't freeze.

Here is a little visitor that I found in my basement last night:scared:

I was coming out of the bathroom and it was along the wall near to the wires for Rick's computer. I was trying to puzzle out what exactly it was, thought maybe it was a sweater string the cat had been playing with:confused3

But when it dawned on me what it was I immediately called for Liz. She is our resident wild animal lover.

She captured it and took it outside.

I am so very glad that she was at home last night.

Now....... how in the heck did it get into our basement?????

I guess the bigger question should be??????

Does it have any friends that are still hanging around down here :faint:

/
You and me both Mandy.

I was just so glad that Liz was right there.

She loves those kinds of things.

She says, grab me a pillow case and she herded it into the case and took it out to the back yard:confused:

I'm not sure what I would have done if I had been home alone.

It's a very fallish type day here today.

It's cloudy and windy and the leaves are falling off the trees and blowing all around.

After the gorgeous weekend we had, it's not a very welcome change;)

:scared1: :faint: EVACUATE!!!

It's a good thing you don't have anyone as terrified as myself living in your home! I would be the biggest whiner in your house... my feet wouldn't go under the covers... I wouldn't sleep or go near the computer!

My grandmother found a black snake cooling off in her toilet when I was about 12 y/o. I still to this day check the toilet before I sit down on it!:lmao:

Glad Liz came to the rescue for ya!:thumbsup2

Kelly - I hope you're not so busy today, and that you had a good weekend too :thumbsup2

I had a great weekend! Thanks!:goodvibes

Mandy, I'm a little jealous of you that you have a good start on Chistmas presents... and even worst that you're already wrapping!;)

One of these days we are going to attempt a cruise with DCL longer than 4 days... just not sure when...:upsidedow

I hope everyone is doing well!! Chat later!:goodvibes

WOW!...
Where is everybody?????:confused3

Must be busy.....I know I have been..

I went into town today for my normal Thurs...
Only had soup and salad, as Im trying to keep my weight down...Its not working too well lately:confused: ...

I guess I better do more on the good ole treadmill....:cool1:

I hope everyones doing well... :wizard:

TTFNpaw:

Yeah, I hear you about the weight loss thing.

Not doing too good on that myself.

Good Morning DWDQ's

  Woohoo !! It's nearly the weekend

Yes it has been quiet around here. I know I have been busy with Christmas shopping and wrapping. Thankfully, we've got a quiet weekend ahead of us. Hopefully Paul & I will head to the wine bar tonight for a couple of glasses of White Zinfandel to see the weekend in ;) Other than that, we haven't got any other plans

I can't believe that 10 weeks today we will be heading back to WDW, it's coming round so quick :thumbsup2

Have a lovely weekend girls

Hello again girls

I just wanted to show you a little gift that I received this morning. We're taking part in a Hallowe'en exchange over on the UK Community, and these are what I received

CIMG6272.jpg

I did mention to my sender that I wasn't into Hallowe'en, so she got me a little bottle of wine, some chocs, a couple of Christmas Yankee Candles and a Stitch phone charm

I'm thrilled with them :thumbsup2

Hey, neat stuff Mandy.

I used to do a lot of exchanges but I don't so much any more. I just do the occasional one.

Liz and I are planning on a cross border shopping trip into Michigan today.

That is if she ever gets out of bed anytime soon:rolleyes:

There are a couple of stores she wants to go to and I made sure the mall that I picked had a Disney Store in it too;)

Betsy, I just started back into my pilates...:guilty: After we got back from the April cruise I stopped exercising altogether and ate anything and everything I wanted. I'm having a hard time getting that weight off. My jeans and shirts are all too tight...:headache: :rolleyes1 So I'll be exercising lots this weekend trying to get back into the routine! :thumbsup2

Robin, enjoy your shopping trip with Liz today! Are you all getting the cool, rainy weather like we are? It got chilly today! Feels kinda good!:goodvibes

Mandy, the gifts you got are cool! I love Yankee Candles, I got their reeds the other day in Lemon Lavender. It smells soooo good! We are all excited about the Disney trip ourselves! The kids park hopper passes came in yesterday, now I just need to get CW & mine. :cloud9:

It's a soccer weekend for us again! The guys are getting new uniforms for the next session which starts in November :faint"

BTW... I don't think I told you all but if I did... sorry :upsidedow Carolin did make the cheerleading team, and she made captain of the team so she's on cloud nine herself these days...;)

Have a great weekend all! Take care!:grouphug:

:cheer2: Good Job Carolin :cheer2:

The shopping trip and border crossing was uneventful.

I didn't buy too much. I got a couple of CD's of Disney music that we enjoyed on the trip home and a few little Disney plush characters that are cute. One is Dumbo..... soooo cute. :dumbo:

Liz managed to part with a lot more of her money than I did;)

G'day maties.

It was quite a nice day here earlier.

I went out and did a bit more yard work.

It has chilled right down now and there is a heavy frost warning for tonight.

That probably means the end for most of my nice flowers.:guilty:

Actually the weather doesn't look too bad for the next week or so during the days though.

What's everyone doing today?
