Good Morning DQs,
Our trip will be more expensive, than WDW, but Ive been reading everything I can get my hands on about saving on the islands....
One great tip, is eat local foods, and save the fancy places for one special dinner...I think this is what we will do..
They have ABC stores all over the place,(inexpensive food stores)...and grills right on most beach/park areas...Im really looking forward to going right to the docks and buying fresh seafood, to grill on the beach, with some good tropical fruit...YUM.
So far the changed plans and the places Id like to try to get into are....
we will now fly directly to Maui, stay 6 nights on the Kaanapali coast(west side)...Hopefully in an ocean front room....at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel (one of the more reasonable priced places)

Then take the road to Hana(lots of sights on the way with ALOT of waterfalls

), and stay in a condo there for the last 4 days...(east side, more of a rainforest area)
(alot less expensive, than a hotel/resort)

So we will try to save on the food stuff so we have money for a couple of day tours to Moloka'i, and Lana'i, while on the west side...
If all goes well thats the plan...but we still have a year to go, so it may change from now to then...
But its really fun planning!
Well Im off to read Mandys TR, at the HardRock...
I shall return!
TTFN
