Looks like a lovely morning here today.

Might rain but probably won't.

The weather has been absolutely perfect the past few days.

The biting bugs and mosquitos seem to have mostly disappeared and it is actually pleasant to be outdoors.

I've been out enjoying my deck.

Of course it's storming and pouring because I have things that I have to do today.

We are leaving this afternoon for our trip to the 2008 Canadian Scale Aerobatic National Competition

I've got some food shopping to do and then get things organized to load up the trailer.

I won't be back until sometime on Monday.

So Ill be hanging around here probably gonna do some more mowing...
until he gets here, then a little gardening...

This one will give us a bakers doz...LOL(13)
and she is having another boy...It will be their 5th boy..they also have 2 girls.
His name will be Kolby Christopher.

He is being shy.

.and not coming out...She has been due for 2 weeks now...I told her he's sure to be a momma's boy..as he likes it in there...LOL

Poor Lori...The doc. even stripped her membrain..the beginning of the week, and she still hasnt gone...The doc. said if she doesnt go by the end of this weekend they will induce, on Mon., but they would rather she have him naturally...
So its a waiting game....

I have over a year before I get my Hawaii trip and it seems like it will be forever...But I know it will be time before I know it...and Ill just watch the videos on youtube until then and dream!

Well I bought a new weed eater yesterday, which means I have to use it today... ..
So Im on my way to wack a few weeds around my pond ....
insert evil laugh here...Hawwwwhaaaaahaaaa!

Betsy - LOL, so you'll have a bakers dozen of grandkids - cool I hope he arrives soon. Is your Hawaii trip all booked up now ? When do you go ?

Robin - I hope you're enjoying your weekend away

Kelly - I went back a few pages and I see you went to Niagara Falls yesterday, I hope you have a great time and that you take lots of photos for us

Paul & I are spending the evening in Birmingham again tomorrow night. The girls are having a sleepover and hopefully we'll be finishing off any holiday shopping while we're away, then going out for a nice meal.

Our Cruise documents arrived today I can't believe that two weeks tonight we'll be staying at the airport hotel ready for an early flight on the 16th

Today I took Kerry to have some extensions put in her hair. They look good and she's very happy with them - though she looks quite different with them, here's a pic

I've just posted this on the UK Community, and I wanted to share with you too

My eldest DD Kerry will be 18 at the end of January, and a few months ago she asked us, not to buy her any Christmas presents, not to give her an 18th birthday party and not to buy her any birthday presents ~ but would we take her best friend Bex to WDW for New Year

So after talking to her best friend's parents we secretly started checking out prices and at the end of April we booked a two week stay from Boxing Day staying at the Pop Century with two rooms

The last few weeks she has been driving us mad asking whether we're thinking of going back for New Year, so finally tonight we told Kerry, Becky and Bex about the trip

So now they're mega-excited and are trawling through photos and videos

I'm so pleased that we can actually talk about it now, I've been dying to tell people for months now (I only told my mum and Nat)

So Jules, do you fancy a drinky-poo or 3 at the Rose & Crown on New Years Eve (and anyone else )

Once again I'm going to be lucky enough to spend my birthday out there, so I've booked brekkie with Lilo & Stitch for me, and I've also made ADR's at the Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's

As you can imagine, I've got 3 very happy young ladies here now

I've been dying to tell you all, so I'm pleased that the secret is finally out

So Kelly, I'm not sure if the Cruise will be happen, but will you be doing WDW before or after your Cruise ? as I would love to meet up with you, and I know the girls would love to see Chad and Carolin too

Busy weekend here....We decided to clear a section of our woods to make a shady play area for the kids...
Cut down alot of trees...which doesnt take alot of time....BUT cleaning up all the branches and chopping up and cleaning up...takes alot of time and work...

I am very sore today...and we still have a lot more clearing to do befor we can put up swings, and sandbox...Im thinking it will look really good when were done tho....

I just copied and pasted this from the threadkiller thread because I didn't want to retype it:

Well we are back

Just don't ask me where my trailer is currently located

We had a great weekend up until today right about noon.

We were one hour from home and had stopped for some lunch at a large truck stop type place.

Just before we stopped we had hit a HUGE hole in the road.

Walking beside the truck we notice a very large slit in the side wall of one of the back truck tires. On further investigation we found smaller slits in the front one on the same side

So we go into eat and decide to call the CAA (AAA) when we get done and have them come and change the tire.

I call them and long story short, they won't change the tire because it has 8 wheel studs not 6 Will tow it someplace for us if we want. It's a holiday not much open so we say thanks for nothing and decide to change the worst of the tires ourselves.

In the meantime we notice that BOTH the trailer tires on the opposite side have started to lose air

What the heck is going on

We think put some air in the tires and maybe we will be good to get the hour drive home. When air is put in the tire you can just hear it hissing it's way out again. A huge hole in the one tire and a smaller hole in the other.

We decide to replace one tire with the spare and put the jack under the other axle to help hold it up and leave it parked in the truck stop lot until we can get new tires and return tomorrow to pick it up.

To top it all off, there was no tire iron in our new truck.

Of course it decides to rain just about the time Rick needs to change the tires.

Yup a great ending to an otherwise quite enjoyable weekend. If it weren't so annoying it'd be hilarious

Good start to the morning though.

We drove part way back yesterday and stopped for the night at an airplane field that we knew.

The guys were headed out to get coffee this morning and I hear a hotair balloon going overhead.

Open the door and the balloon is right over the trailer and lands in the sod farm attached to where we were parked.

Cool.

Now the "chase" vehicle was sitting halfway in the ditch on the road.

The guys pulled it out of the ditch with our truck.

As a result we now have a bottle of champagne and the promise of 2 hot air balloon rides

Only have to make the 3 1/2 hour drive to get there.

Robin - I'm pleased that you had a nice weekend, and got your free balloon flights (not that you'd catch me in one ), but what a shame about your trailer. Did you get it home in the end ?

Betsy - How is your play area coming along ? It sounds like it will lots of fun for the grandkids

Kelly - I hope you had a great time in Niagara Falls. I hope you've got some pics for us. Kerry said that you were home as she had seen it on Chads Myspace (or whatever it is ). She's dying to know if you'll be in WDW either before of after your Cruise (I am too )

Well I've got a quiet day today. I went to see my mum this morning, started painting Becky's room, dropped the girls round their friends, and I've now got a couple of hours of peace and quiet - woohoo !!

What a trip though!! It was great, expensive... but great! I promise to upload photos tomorrow! Mom wants copies asap!

Betsy, it's great to hear you had a wonderful birthday!! Hopefully as I type, you are holding your newest grandbaby! Please give the little one a bunch of kisses for me!

Mandy, I love Kerry's new do! It looks great! Was it painful and how hard is it to care for? Carolin just told me this morning that Kerry sent over a hello to us! We have reservations at DM & DDs timeshare after the cruise... but CW & I were talking about going down a little earlier. Not sure since Chad's school is so funny about time being missed...

I would really love to meet up with you guys as well!! I'll know more next month when I get a chance to speak with the staff at his school!

Robin, what a mess!! Hopefully you had your camera to take a few pics of your wonderful balloon ride! I'm too terrified to hop in one of those things but I've heard others say that it's a great experience! Good luck with your trailer!!

You guys have a great evening! I'm getting back to my work which is piled awfully high on my desk! I will post my adventures tomorrow with pics as promised!

The trailer is now back in town.

It is at the tire store to have new tires put on tomorrow.

The truck already has new tires on it too.

I have not taken a balloon ride yet.

That will have to be done sometime in the future.

Kelly - Glad you had a great time, I look forward to seeing your photos The extensions in Kerry's hair were braided into her hair and she didn't find them uncomfortable at all. She's only washed them once and they seem easy enough to look after

I've got my fingers crossed that you will be in WDW before your Cruise, it would be great to meet up with you all again

Robin - I'm glad your trailer is back in town, and I hope it's not too expensive to get the tyres replaced/fixed

Betsy - 'Hi', how are you ?

What is everyone up to today ? I've got a quiet day. The girls are going to a local theme park with some friends, so I am going to go into town this morning, and then I'll paint another wall in Becky's room

Good morning all.

I think that I should go into work this morning and clear up my desk.

I have to take Duster to the vet later this afternoon.

She is going tomorrow to have her spaying operation done. I wonder why they call it that Anybody know.

Anyway, she has to go in this afternoon for a pre-op check up.

I haven't decided yet whether to leave her there overnight tonight or not.

Somehow the thought of leaving her in a cage any longer than necessary is not appealing.

But if I keep her home I have to keep her away from food and water and get up early to take her in to the vet.

Guess I will decide that later.

Good Morning all

Well Im a DGM again ....Lori had the baby the night of the 4th...I went yesterday, for a look see and a visit.....He is BEAUTIFUL...The nice thing about babies that go past their due date, is that they look so filled out and pretty...
His name is "Kolbe christopher Villanella", He was 8lbs. 13oz.(big baby!)
I have pictures and Ill try to post some time today...

I have a grooming appt. for Albert today.....at noon....
So I have to stay on town for a few hrs...

Mandy,
The play area hasnt had anymore work done on it yet...Mike is planning on taking Friday off, and we will be working on it again this weekend..(Ill try to get some pictures of that too!)

Robin,
So sorry to hear about the RV troubles ....BUT a hot air balloon ride ....WOW ....Id love to do that some day...We have a balloon rally here every Aug.( it was just last weekend)
It's so cool to watch them all take off...
Congrats to Rick for his win!

We thought our RV was a gonner last weekend, when Mike dropped one of the trees, it hit the RV...I COULDNT BELIEVE IT!
It seems he miscalculated...


Well after taking a look at the damage, we decided we were very lucky...It broke the fridge vent to pieces(have to replace that)..dented the side a little, but didnt go through...PHEWWwwww....
we have a very small ripe in the awning (duct taped for now)and a small rip in the rubber of the roof( this can be caulked)...All in all it could have been ALOT worse...
Thank god the tree was VERY dead..and it was the very top of it that hit....
